Come on now, stop being coy. You're basically stating all the time that it's always destroy with you... so, you're basically telling anyone who would never pick destroy to give up everything and just roll with it. Yes I pick destroy, but I don't tell everyone to choose it. So, how about you showing a post where I said for everyone to give up everything? You've come darn close to saying it. It's heavily implied what you want and anything else is wrong. A cannon ending is a mistake period.

You've come darn close to saying it. Nor will I say that. Just as it's heavily implied that you want the next game in Andromeda with Ryder and anything else is wrong. Don't know. Time will tell if a canon ending is chosen.

Honestly I hope they do make a sequel to MEA as I also want to see where the story is going to go. Just ending it the way it is is kind of asinine. Yes the game maybe didnt do as well as they had hoped, but that is to be expected given the game was CLEARLY rushed (not unlike ME3). Just make the next game in Andromeda and put the effort in to it that used to do with games like DAO for instance. Fans are fickle. If you make a great ME game set in Andromeda, many of the fans will forget about the first one.

I still gripe about ME3 but I would like a good Andromeda sequel. I gripe about ME2 as well. Obviously I don't represent everyone but I think if you make a good game in the ME series, enough people will like it regardless of the previous games. And a lot of the hatred for Andromeda is over-exaggerated. The game still did fairly well and still has a good score on most review sites. A lot of the glitches and bad animations and whatnot have since been fixed. Yeah the plot still sucks but so does ME2's and ME3's.

When people say the plot sucks, do they mean it's too simple? A plot doesn't suck if it's just do this and defeat the big bad. Hell there are a whole lot of setups that are just that. It's all in how it's told.
Though I always thought the plot twist in 3 would be that the controller of the Reapers was Benezias bosom, now in ghost form.

Oh and in terms of the which option did you choose at the end of ME3 debate, just let Bioware work out what was the most popular choice and go with that, NO. NO NO NO. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. If there is one thing that is wrong with gaming today, it is trying to please the masses. When people say the plot sucks, do they mean it's too simple? A plot doesn't suck if it's just do this and defeat the big bad. Hell there are a whole lot of setups that are just that. It's all in how it's told. Actually it does. Every plot starts out simple, but it's the fleshing out of the plot that determines if it's a good plot or not. A plot is basically a cause and effect sequence. The main plot is the shortest version possible. For ME2 as an example; Shepard died due to an attack from an unknown vessel Cerberus revives Shepard so he can help fight this vessel Getting help from a bunch of people, ultimately Shepard beats the ones that killed him. ME1: Shepard is sent to investigate an attack on a human colony by a synthetic machine race. Shepard finds the attack was for a device called the Prothean beacon, which has information he doesn't understand Through his quest and help from others he understands the information from the beacon and gets a message which tells of a much larger threat than the Geth He works to stop this threat and succeeds Already more fleshed out than ME2, isn't it? Feel free to try and make it any shorter without removing important details. There's also another one that can be argued to be the plot... Shepard is a common human soldier trying to get approval of other species for the whole of humanity. He fails to get approval due to his most important mission going horribly wrong. After multiple efforts and help from humans and aliens alike, he succeeds in getting the respect he deserves. Humanity gets a seat on the council (or the council becomes fully human) Can ME2 a second plot be thought of for ME2? I can't think of one... Or can I...? In any case... ME1 has a great plot. ME2 has a mediocre plot. ME3 has an ok plot.

I do think LotSB and Arrival add to ME2s plot a bit, if played post the main campaign. 2 doesn't have a big reveal of the Reapers like 1, though it does have the prothean twist, 1 already established the main enemy. Part 2 of a trilogy is often burdened with bridging the gap between 1 and 3. I think 2 has the best journey.

due to my dark sense of humor, it would be funny within mass effect to have an dialogue option to threaten an enemy to inject them with thresher maw acid in their veins

Nor will I say that. Just as it's heavily implied that you want the next game in Andromeda with Ryder and anything else is wrong. Don't know. Time will tell if a canon ending is chosen. I believe I've said that I want that story finished yes. I've also said I'm not against a MW game just most of the ideas I've seen a nd its because imo a cannon ending ruins the trilogy. Are you seriously trying to say that the removal of the endings - the endings that actively ruined the trilogy - itself would ruin the trilogy? That makes no sense. Curing a disease doesn't make the disease worse.

Curing a disease doesn't make the disease worse. Sorry, but the Trilogy endings are not a disease. They are merely a selection of ENDINGS to a fictional game story... and that's the key... they were always intended to be ENDINGS to that story. Shepard's story was always intended to END with Mass Effect 3. The story was a Trilogy and the Trilogy ENDED. Diseases affect the living not the ENDED.

People keep making this all about the endings as if Act 1 (genophage) and Act 2 (Quarian/Geth War) didn’t also have major galactic changes. BioWare definitely can’t canonize all of that too.
A post-ME3 game has too much toothpaste out of the tube to get back in. Andromeda is easily the better and easier way to go. Everyone complains about the story of MEA but there isn’t even a good starting point to begin a decent story post-Reaper war.

This is true. And an object lesson that you shouldn't put such sweeping changes in a series you have any intention of touching again. Thus any return to the Milky Way will require either an established canon of some sort, or a hard reboot. <iframe width="30.40000000000009" height="3.1400000000000006" style="position: absolute; width: 30.40000000000009px; height: 3.1400000000000006px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_25347398" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="30.40000000000009" height="3.1400000000000006" style="position: absolute; width: 30.4px; height: 3.14px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1453px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_63423173" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="30.40000000000009" height="3.1400000000000006" style="position: absolute; width: 30.4px; height: 3.14px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 97px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_67422417" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="30.40000000000009" height="3.1400000000000006" style="position: absolute; width: 30.4px; height: 3.14px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1453px; top: 97px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_73223182" scrolling="no"></iframe> Eh, Andromeda is mediocre at best. Though that does put it far and away above the radioactive dumpster fire that is ME3. Faint praise indeed. Honestly, I think MEA should simply be renamed "Andromeda" and made into its own IP.

The ending options you don't select have no bearing on your play through whatsoever.
