I have it on good authority that Blackwall stole all the beards and all the power held within. And yet even his beard is a little lacking in bushiness. Like he oils it yet it's all pointy. OOOO! I want grey hair streaks to be a thing! And I want blonde hair to look blonde instead of YELLOW

I watched a random youtube romance request video and thought it had some merit as it sounds very realistic.
It's this different kind of romance arc that involves flirting and flirting and flirting (and they do flirt back) but it never gets to the sexy times stage Or, at least, it doesn't get to it until literally the End Game Party. Because both of you decide it's just not a good time to start a full blown relationship while the sky is falling down on every one.
And only if you get to end game "world is saved" part not locked in with anyone else do you actually get with that person. (Of course, sex optional, because I'm fond of sex optional scenes now.)

Speaking of hair... how about 99% of hairstyles not having male pattern baldness. Yeah, right? I don't get how the artists don't see that that is too much forehead, giving the appearance of a receding hairline even to women. I wonder if they made the hair and THEN made the skulls?

After the endless complaining, they're probably going to go in the complete opposite direction and implement the most GPU-crushing, high fidelity hair & hair physics ever seen in a game. The game will run at 10 fps, but hey... YOU ASKED FOR IT. 78.media.tumblr.com/1a9b04a7505b5e3f41430bf4065f9bdb/tumblr_nz9qfnjmUa1uajjoao1_1280.gif

I think they just made a bunch of hair with dudes' hairlines in mind and then went.... "yeah, that's totally neutral." :poker: I distinctly remember a tweet during development that talked about "Pantene commercial hair" in DAI...

I distinctly remember a tweet during development that talked about "Pantene commercial hair" in DAI... In DAI? Maybe that was their intent early on in development. But now I'm now imagining what the new Dialogue Wheel will be like in DA4... Diplomatic Aggressive Humorous*Hair Flip*

I like to have scars. I don't mean on the face, but on the neck, arms and torso. For example - Before the main character became the main character, he/she was with others, walking to wherever, when they were ambushed by whoever. One of them jumps on the future main character attacking with a dagger. The future main character uses their arms to avoid getting cut on the face. Finally the attacker is able to cut the neck of the future main character. Believing he/she is dead, the attacker goes after another. The future main character survives, as did a couple others, but has a scar on the neck and defensive wounds leaving scars on the arms. This could make for some dialogue with a character in the game when asking how they got their scars. Instead of being attacked with daggers, the future main character is hanged leaving a scar on the neck similar to what Clint Eastwood has in the movie Hang 'Em High. Instead of the above, is shot with a couple of arrows. Show scars from the arrows on the torso In DA2, if Hawke has 30 drinks in one sitting, everyone in the Hanged Man will say HAWKE, whenever he/she enters. I like that. But I like it taken to the next level. Remember Norm from Cheers? Every time he walked in, everyone yells NORM. As he's walking to his favorite spot, he make's a snarky comment when asked a question. It doesn't have to be the main character. It can be a companion. When crafting staffs to use, how about deciding what to put on the top of the staff? Instead of what comes with the staff, have the option to add a skull, a dragon's head, maybe an ogres head or something different. Each head can offer a bonus for the mage. Maybe 10% barrier strength. In the case of the dragon's head, it can add 10% damage to fire, freeze or shock. Each head could represent the element that particular head uses. The ogres head could add 10% damage to darkspawn. Of course this only works if there's darkspawn in the next game. I believe there will be. And so on.

I liked that they took the time to get a distinctly asian and african american face even if those faces don't personally appeal to me. BUt DAI CC was GREAT. I LOVE IT. I have control over EVERYTHING.

How exactly would a non sexual romance be different from a friendship arc? It has to be more than just "we spend the most time together and don't have sex", because I know people whose most important relationships are non familiar and platonic, but still have sexual feelings for other people. I'm not trying to be judgmental or a killjoy, I'm genuinely curious how such an ace/demi relationship would contrast friendship paths, narratively speaking. I think Josephine's romance would work for this if somewhere along the romance path she explicitly says they aren't having sex. Just cuz they're not having sex doesn't mean they aren't kissing or cuddling. Not all romantic relationships in real life are sexual for a variety of reasons. Sebastian was celibate; I don't think his romance emphasized that him and Hawke were actually together that well though so his isn't a great example. Well at least they could set up for having a sexual relationship as optional.

Instead of the above, is shot with a couple of arrows. Show scars from the arrows on the torso. Yes please! I always headcanon'd that one of my Wardens had a deep gnarly scar across her neck from having her throat slit long ago, and another was blind in one eye from spider venom. Another lost their arm to the Archdemon (before it was the Cool New Thing to do huhu). I love that the Inquisitor loses an arm. I love that Bull's missing an eye, a couple fingertips, and has a bum knee. Hawke got skewered by the Arishok so I always imagined my Hawke sporting a pretty huge scar across his torso. These people live difficult, dangerous lives and I like seeing evidence of that or at least having that option in the CC.

When do we ever really see our characters naked other than in a sex scene... They don't have to be naked. They wear a top that is sleeveless showing the scars on the shoulder or under the arm. Or if the top is low enough, can see a scar just below the neck on the upper chest region. When talking with characters, the topic turns to who has scars. He/she can lift the top to show the scars on the side, back or midsection. Or pulls the top down far enough to see scars on the upper part of the chest.
