Good looking facial presets for character creation, like Anthem. I HATE starting off my custom character with a bad preset (DA:I, ME:A, even BG3 to a certain extent).

Looks like I have to add in things I thought would be a given A proper pause button/state that I can issue commands from. An isometric view - even a pseudo-isometric view.

I'm guessing someone has already added "Actual-good-lighting-in-the-CC-seriously-why-is-this-still-a-problem-bioware" to the list? I'm baffled it was a problem, not once, but twice in DAI: you got the green lighting cc and then you also got the darklit Hawke cc (trying to get Hawke right literally feels like trying to apply make-up with a mirror in a room lit only by a single dying candle) Look at how much changes when you fix the lighting issue. Inquisitor Hawke God, I was reminded of it while replaying DAO because the difference between the CC's lighting and the game's actual lighting is so big that I didn't notice my black character wearing bright yellow eyeshadow in the CC until I was seeing her in a cutscene. What is even the purpose of it? You can at least get the Inquisitor cc mistake because it's suppose to transition straight into the cutscene, but why is Hawke in a room that's just dark?

Probably belongs in another thread but that OTHER thread is kind of gone by the wayside.
So thinking about this and playing Ghost Recon really drives this home...I don't want any pause and play. Keep it all real time all the time or as close as you can get time dilation. In lore or tactical cam/ isometric makes sense but modern games has proven even that does not need to be P&P.

An addendum to the above and thinking on the three biggest changes I want to see from DAI.
1. Melee and range switchability in combat. Hyper annoying that you couldn't use swords, daggers, or just bash someone over the head as an archer.
2. Stealth actually making sense and not that low level unimmersive disappearing nonsense its always been.
3. Active blocking and dodging.

You know what I liked in DAO and DA2 that I didn't like in DAI? Choosing your companion screen. DAO showed them as well as DA2. I like that to return. I didn't like choosing a card in DAI.

My deepest wish, above proper lighting, would be a full dialogue interface that still retained the Investigate format. The problem with DAO's dialogue interface was that you couldn't tell which options were questions/answers that "looped" the conversation and which were options that ended or progressed the conversation to its next phase. So, you had to reload and skip through dialogue to get to where you made the "mistake." DA2 fixed that problem, but its way of doing so then created the problem that you couldn't tell what your character was going to say; you had to rely entirely on paraphrasing and tone icon. So, you still had to reload due to the interface's trial and error. Basically, I want this: I feel like you could still find a way to implement tone icons, as well. Little icons next to the options (laughing mask for jokey) or having the dialogue options get a colored highlight (ex. purple for jokey) when you hover over it.

1. Better inventory look (I can't belive every game look the same). Some creativity please. Pathfinder Kingmaker
2. More choices and consequence than in DA2 and DAI. 3. I want to give the points to strengh, dex., etc.

God please no the Pathfinder: Kingmaker inventory was awful. I never want to spend another second of my life staring at the 'other stuff' tab to work out which stuff I can safely sell and which things are quest items and/or food. Picking up two hundred moth-eaten scarves in DA2 was a joy by comparison.

I want that on my next playthrough, I think.

What mod is that dialogue shot from? I want that on my next playthrough, I think. Full Dialogue Interface. It's compatible with Reinventing the Wheel (and Origins Font, if that's your fancy) I'm currently using it and it's worked very well so far (I'm in Act 2) It doesn't seem to work with Legacy, however. It'll go back to paraphrase mode for most of the options (while retaining the mod's Origin display layout) It's not a bug so much as it just doesn't seem to be written to cover Legacy yet. I've only had two times total where the mod didn't work right: once during a conversation with Cullen in the Gallows where one option got displayed twice - it replaced the full sentence for a humorous response. It was purely a display issue since the humorous response triggered perfectly fine when selected. The other time was in the Deep Roads where, when a specific option was selected (asking Varric about his lack of enthusiasm) the aggressive dialogue option display changed to Varric's previous line. Honestly, that was more funny than annoying. Bear in mind, it's almost the exact same as Origin (minus the Investigation) which means that it doesn't mark special options, so you have to pay attention to which option is new after a question or if the conversation begins with four options instead of three. In the latter case, it'll always be the bottom option. In the former, it'll be either the bottom option or the second to last option. It might sound a bit complicated, but it's easy enough. It's a shame DAI doesn't have this mod, but it does have something similar at least. EDIT: DAI also has this mod.

After reading some of the leaks, I have to add that I want to be able to control my companions. I want 3 companions with me. To repeat what I've said before: no limits on how many abilities I can use. If I (or my companions) have earned it, then I can play it at any time. Real tactics - if enemy attacking Companion A then pinning shot, self being attacked by melee then mind blast, etc. Using a mod I was able to set up this in DAO. It was great!

It was probably mentioned before but the option to separate stats from looks. If I like the look of one armor but have another armor with better stats, I want to be able to use both. Diablo 4 has a system for that and it's amazing. It also makes having a no helmet option easier I think

If armor tinting still is a thing, I hope we'll have access to a true purple shade. The closest thing I seem to find in Inquisition is either pink or some kinda blue.

I don't mind initially verifying that my game is legal. After that, I don' want the internet to be a requirement to play, I don't want the EA App to always open when I start the game, and I don't want to have to continually click 'ok to run' because I don't have permission - EVEN THOUGH BOTH THE APP AND THE GAME ARE ALREADY SET TO RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. It's not right to add extra clicks that can encourage Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
