I was thinking that Bioware saves all their slides for endgame, as epilogue. Been playing Wtcher 3, and pondering if they could get more story rounding shoved in f there were minu slides at the end of some quests. Or narrated letters or something. Hmmm. I dunno how they would incorporate it, I suppose I just thought it'd be like the war table except piece meal, not so over whelming, not feel like a chore because you'd do a quest and just get one.

I would like to see some cats in the next game. They are worthy opponents for a tiny bear.

I spent a little time in Assassin's Creed: Origins " Discovery Tour" last night, and I thought - This could be a great idea for Dragon Age. Perhaps something set in the Fade? Taking a cue from Solas, allow the PC to camp in various locations in the game, and a helpful spirit(s) could regale you with lore/secrets/etc. of the area while you slept... Wisps might show you secret locations in the area, spirits might reconstruct lost/damaged books and other lore in the game. You might also be able to ask them about the various creatures you've encountered, learn more of the strengths/weaknesses and view them up close in the "safety" of the Fade. I called it first. 😊😊

I've been messing around some more in DT since then, and I like some of the neat little ways it lets you interact with it, in ways you can't in the main game. Admittedly, making Cleopatra paint walls was more fun than I was expecting...

Cleopatra painting walls, that is hilarious!!!!! The location-based "idling" feature in the DT is surprisingly fun... and varied. I certainly wouldn't mind DA4 taking cues from here as well. It reminds me of Skyrim, where I'd make sure my DB was sitting comfortably in some inn by the fire before I wrapped up for the day. These little touches can actually add quite a bit to the experience...

Skyrim's a good example likewise when finishing a mission my DB used to always go home to the wife and get her to cook a meal and sit down by the fire I also read somewhere about a guy who in TW3 has actually played very little of the story and just wanders the land interacting occasionally but he always returns to one favourite place where just spends time doing whatever there

A companion who is straight up 100% Orlesian. Not like Leliana or Vivienne. Michel de Chevin...please? I would like to have a stereotypical companion to see interesting lore and culture revelations, like a dwarfy dwarf, an orlesian Orlesian or a pro-slavery Tevinter. And please bring the rivalry system back. Also, a better zoom function during any dialogue. Or first person view.

The same thing I've wished for in every game since Origins: good lighting in the character creator. Can't we be standing areound in a sunny field or at least have a well-lit hall rather than some strange light that skews colors? Extend that wish to the crafting screen, as of DA:I.

MountsI've been playing Final Fantasy XV for a couple of weeks now, and chocobo-riding is probably the most fun implementation I've seen yet for a (ground) mount. They're relatively small, but fast, agile, and good jumpers & climbers. Power-sliding and gliding off cliffs is a ton of fun. But having your entire party riding alongside you is one of the biggest features. You don't miss out on any banter, and the riding music is awesome. And they really kicked in a lot of other cool features - customization, special feed giving them various bonuses, races, leveling them up giving them new perks. They'll even jump in to deliver a kick to your enemies every now and again. The only downsides are that you have to dismount to pick up items, and AFAIK you can't fight while mounted. A new Dragon Age could certainly do worse than take some inspiration from this game...

I liked all the hart and horse options but everything felt clunky. I've seen a couple games pull off some really great mount ideas recently and it's awesome. My favorite probably being in GuildWars 2 Path of Fire.

They just need to continue to build on the gameplay side. I've haven't played GW, but yeah... it looks good. I liked how the mounts had different traversal options. Maybe one day we'll see griffons in DA and have both a fun ground and flying mount.

No day/ night cycle, day/ night maps are better. No repetitive mechanics, eg. Fade rifts in inquisition or the vaults in Andromeda Better resource gathering, having to constantly pick plants gather ore was beyond tedious. If you find a quarry that quarry could provide so much ore an hour rather than having to gather rocks. Same with plants find some elfroot get so much per hr or better still go back to the da2 system, once found always available costs gold to craft instead, gained by interesting quests.

I can see a return to skyhold as part of dlc. Maybe some familiar faces such as Cabot the bartender Officially added to MY wishlist. In the case of the Inquisition being entirely disbanded, I wonder if they wouldn't give it to the Wardens.

Healing MagicUnpopular opinion time? I know some are hoping for healing magic to return in DA4, but for the most part, I hoping healing is dealt with through potions, gear, or some other shared resource that doesn't require having a character with healing abilities in the party. A big reason for this is because I'm assuming we'll again have 8 ability slots (or fewer, but not more), and with so few I feel they're just too precious to spend on healing abilities. Mages in particular tend to have a lot of cool abilities, so those 8 slots fill up quick, and healing is about the least interesting ability I can think of. There are potential balance issues as well - Is a healer expected/required in the party to achieve the expected game balance? If so, what if it's a character you don't like (assuming it's not you)? If one is not required, are you OP with one (or more) healers? IMO, Healing in this case is a good example of something that if it can be "off-loaded" out of abilities, it should - if it at all possible. If healing is dealt with as a shared resource, you also have more flexibility in what companions you can bring with you. Exceptions to this would be things like... a Reaver's Devour ability. Healing is essentially a tag-on effect, and more of a necessity to balance out its other health-bleeding abilities.

Why were we limited to 8 slots in Inquisition?
