Wasn't DA:I kind of devoid of massacring bunch of elves? If you were an elf, your entire clan could be wiped out by war table.

I prefer coming to a game without a lot of known content, so I don't want a lot of pre-knowledge about companions and romance options, or the bad guy for that matter.. I tried, I really tried not to know too much before DAI. It wasn't easy and too often I got sucked in. I would have enjoyed DA2 more the first time I played if I had known less going in. That said, there are things I do like knowing about: - race options for our pc, and background options
- how many companions we travel with at a time
- how many romance options there are (just nothing too specific)
- where will the game take place
- combat style and tactics - I feel this is an area Bioware still needs work on.
- some of the mechanics, will leveling up give us the opportunity to set our own attributes, for instance. If we have mounts, will our companions have mounts and indulge in banter while riding
- general background about the location such as
- political climate
- what happened at Place X during the Blight, the Inquisition, the intervening years, and the subsequent years. Preferably without naming the bad guy(s). Might be difficult, though, but this is a wishlist.
- snippets of history, lore, culture - maybe as teasers so that we don't learn in-depth until playing the game. Even allowing the possibility that the snippet is misleading or contradicted by other info
- maybe do some polls while there is still time to make adjustments based on the feedback, for example:
- hair. Without releasing the hairstyles they're working on, how about listing all the hairstyles they've had in the first 3 games, including dlc and small pics, and let us vote like/dislike/undecided with a limited comment option. Separate male from female, even though in Inquisition they were all available for both genders that doesn't mean we like or dislike an option for both. They should be able to do something like that in the Keep, it's one way to keep the voting to one per consumer (or account).
- specialties from the 1st three games. same deal as w/ the hair
- other - you get the idea
[/ul] - the Golden Nug - are they keeping the concept (though preferably not as a giant statue) and will it carry forward anything from DAI to DA4. Probably not, but if some armor/weapon schematics are carried forward then this would be kind of cool.
One thing that would be really cool, imo, is to set up an early character creator in the Keep. You could save your protag and assign them to a world-state. It won't matter if they change things before release, when you import the world-state you will still get the option modify your pc just as you would one of the provided presets.

I like to know ahead of time who they are and what they like. I gotta brace myself for disappointment when Calpernia my fave turns out to be heterosexual.

Well, all we know for now from her short story and Magekiller comic is that she was (is?) in a relationship with Marius. And given that potentially both are alive and probably on route to reunite, the question is whether she'd be considered a romanceable character at all. Though, of course, there's no way of saying they'd stay together. Or maybe we'd have a love triangle?

But for all I know she's a huge red herring and won't appear at all. Or will be a one-off antagonist or something. Or, as you said, it could be a matchmaking situation like with Aveline and Donnic.

What do you have against a Dwarf sized statue of a Nug in the game? Ha! The same thing I have against the giant statues triggering Legacy and MotA. Since I'm not She-Hulk I tend to think of Mementos (as they were described) as something you could put in a pocket to later be kept in a drawer, a box or displayed on the mantle. Who carried the Nug from Haven to Skyhold, anyway? I bet it was Solas via Eluvian - that Nug was really a recorder or transmitter like Calpernia's crystal. Explains why it showed up with the Qunari. Maybe Solas is also in league with the King of Nugs, his 'eyes on the ground' so to speak.

NorstaeraI suppose I don't find the Nugs and Momento's any more immersion breaking than entering the menu to level up and change armors. I like that the Nug allows us to customize our New Games, as opposed to an NG+ that decides what we keep and what we don't from the get go.

I like the Nug and the whole concept behind it, phoray, just not a triple life-size version. Same with the dlc starters, it's the size, not that they exist or the way they start the dlc. They're bigger than Hawke and take up one of Gamlen's few rooms. I sometimes pretend they open up like Murphy beds.

I think I want to know about and hype about everything. I mean, I look forward to the "hyping with fellow fans" almost as much as game itself. All these folks get to say, "Remember when DAI was dropping and we thought A but then it was totally Z and it blew our minds!" and the cute nick names for characters that came from fans, like Scribbles for Josephine.
And everybody who gets to say things like that look back on it with fond nostalgia. And I want that. There is still so much surprise when you play a game. Like, from the cinematic introductions this is how I thought I would have gone: Dorian looked kinda lame, I friggen loved the chilly power that Vivian emanates, and Iron Bull looks like an amazing bad ass.
Then I play the game, and Vivian is an ass to Cole and I hate her. Trailer didn't tell me how she was going to act like to my little spirit sweetie. Iron Bull is made of glass, his special skill is suicide (reaver) and he's just kinda a laid back weirdo. And I adore Dorian! Don't adore his romance, but him as my Inky's bestie? so sweet.
With this information, it tells me I'll get my cake and eat it too. (enjoy the hype, then still get amazed as it all unfurls.)

I was over the moon when I learned the devs used my nickname for her to refer to her in the studio. Especially since she turned out to be my favorite Bioware character ever.

My wish list
Better optimized game- dai feels like a really nice car but not as smooth as it should be
Weapon tinting
Way of making say the witch staff as powerful as the encore staff. Maybe options to switch staff heads
Npcs- flooring and resetting dialogue (lysette see reason every time I Pop back to haven). Flooring is where an npc moves around such as druffalo farmer. These are easy fixes.
If there’s a mission to save people give them a bonus job such as a new vendor, mission, schematic etc
Really want some dungeons- I love the old mine, crestwood cave etc. really want a dungeon or 2 with unique creatures

I want to kill a lot of elves. Solas' minions especially. While being an elf! Me too. I want to commit genocide with every single elf I can stumble upon. Specially elves with tattoos in their face. If I cannot, then i'm fine with slave elves or whatever. But just let me erase them.

The more I play Origins the more I hope they hybrodize its weapon switching system with Andromeda's profiles. Granted I know it could be hard for mages to pull off but one of the few redeeming qualities of DAOs combat system was the ability to switch weaponsand give you access to six more abilities for us lowly console peasents. I think with some modification they can give us the option to have this connected with up to four profiles, like Andromeda, and then give you the ability to switch between them but tie them to your weapons, IE some abilities can only be accessed with certain weapon's types. It has my mouth watering...which probably means it probably won't happen.
Also this could give them the chance to reintroduce sustained abilities, probably not but with as many as 32 active abilities you could spec into giving the profile swapping it could leave more then enough room for some really interesting combinations.

MEA's profile system SUCKED! To paraphrase Harry Dresden, it sucked diseased moose wang! I wasn't wild about DAI's power limitations, but MEA actually found a way to make it WORSE.
Switching profiles putting everything on cooldown and dismissing all summoned pets? Then why bother switching at all? All it does is leave you helpless while the enemy continues to pound on you.
I'd rather have a power wheel. Action bars. SOMETHING that gives you access to all your abilities at once. I'm not afraid of a little pause 'n' play.

I know you aren't. And nor did I say that they should copy the profile system verbatum. In fact me mentioning combining it with something from DA O does suggest there should be some modification. And playing through DAO A. your sustained abilities, including your pets, disengage as you are switching between weapons (at least abilities tied to those weapons) and you do not have to wait for them to recharge. I think something like that wouldn't be too remiss but a little something to balance the combat is vital other than pure ability vomit. Speaking of pets though anothing thing I'd like to see them bring back from DA O was summonable pets like the Mabari. Just expand it somehow and have them not be powers (exactly) but things you buy. This would be a lot more difficult to pull off but a man can dream that my protagonist can have a cat or a eagle or something. Edit: Upon thinking about it further I realized that even in MEAs profile system you had to pause and play. As far as I remember the only way to swap profiles was to bring up the 'weapon's wheel' first, hit square, then select your new profile. So either way you have to bring up an option which slow down the action.

You did not even need to use it. Find a combo of profile, weapons, and powers and stick to that, such as engineer + Remnant machine and turret, for a pets build. Or a cloaking infiltrator who uses incinerate and energy drain (both spec'd to both prime and detonate) or a sentinel using powerhouse combos. Overall, the profile system was not really there for me, but that was simply because I tend to stay away from the enemy using rifles and power combos to end things. Personally, I prefer a class system, but they also suck in the long run, so no game is perfect/all games are terrible.

I never used the profile system either but being able to use multiple combinations of Biotic, Combat or Tech skills has been heaps of fun. I am usually a stick and pick player when I find a combination that works but with the help of Element Zero I have been experimenting heaps and having a lot of fun doing it. I'd go as far to say that MEA has provided me with the most fun combat in any game I have ever played.

I have kind of always been a long range player in sci-fi games. Whether it be Mass Effect, Fallout, or even a possible Steampunk Game in the future, I tend to prefer staying away from the enemy. I enjoyed playing the Vanguard in the trilogy, But I feel Infiltrator was god. Funny, considering I prefer getting up close and personal in fantasy games.

I am generally more a mid-range type player so I like finding cover and using assault rifles best but have been using a Hornet SMG a fair bit lately and getting amongst it which has been a bit stressful but also fun as well. Funnily enough fantasy such as DAI I prefer range and usually play as a rogue with a bow.
