There is a Bunyan tree that has been chained and officially under arrest for a 100 years. The reason is said to be due to a drunk officer who didn't like how the tree was leaning threateningly at him.
Ayahuasca is a hallucinative drink that allows whoever drinks it to be aware that they're hallucinating.

It was simultaneously genius and very dangerous when you think about it. There were actual photos of little toddlers riding in a postman's bag.

It's like that joke about making collect calls by slipping in messages when you're supposed to say just your name. Ghetto texting, as Gabriel Iglesias said.

well strictly speaking its one I read online but say it slowly and think about it What if I told you... the ancient aliens idea isn't necessarily a bad one, but that doesn't meant its correct either.... there was something I read a long time ago where someone was suggesting that the oort cloud was actually a shroud to keep the rest of space from peeking into our solar system put into place by ancient aliens, the folks who the savage tribes were attempting to emulate when they started wrapping heads ... and that pluto and several other satellites that we assume are moons are in fact also space ships of some sort, that a terrible wasr was fought and the survivers ran here to rebuild knowing it would take them millennia, but somewhere along the way things went wrong and they lost their former knowledge .... that doesn't mean there wrong though just that we have yet ot prove it,

Genetics related facts are most crazy and interesting i would say.
for example: Our DNA is 50% identical of that of a banana.

Asking people for small favors trains their brain into thinking they like you.
In 18th century England, it was considered fashionable for wealthy estate owners to hire people to reside as ornamental hermits. They were to dress like druids, grow their hair and nails out and never bathe.
Solastalgia is the feeling of distress and unease when the environment or landscape is turning for the worse and there's nothing you can do to stop it. ...that one is remarkably apt for Dragon Age Inquisition. Solastalgia-Solas + talgia? No? Just coincidental?
There is an underwater waterfall in the Indian Ocean. My brain hurt trying to comprehend that.

They were to dress like druids, grow their hair and nails out and never bathe. Ah good old Georgian times. Dentists in 18th century used to make teeth replacements by taking teeth from dead soldiers or ripping them out of small children. Make up that was used by ladies to hide blemishes consisted of white lead which caused more blemishes therefore they used more make up, eventually ending up with with lead poisoning. Mercury used to be added to drinking water which lead to blindness and eventually death. A popular entertainment was going to psychiatric ward and watching the patients.

I suppose it would be intelligent to consider if the Oort cloud is in fact offering any evidence that it is not a natural phenomenon as a start.

Before I assume any celestial object is made by another sentient species, I would reserve any and all fantasy wishes upon the observed object. I'm personally far more skeptical that just because we don't have a satisfactory answer to why it exists, how it formed, etc etc that it therefore is automatically likely to be an alien created shroud. If it were proven it was- I would be appropriately readjusting my view of our place in the universe. Furthermore: I think that saying "the Oort cloud is anomalous and we don't have a good explanation for it- it is feasible this is alien tech" is a far cry from "that cloud is in a shroud! Created by aliens who were protecting the good guys from the bad guys!" The story you submitted that some people believe in- there is simply zero basis to extrapolate THAT much from "this might be a created phenomenon".

I said I read it somewhere, that I find it as likely an explanation as many others I've read is neaither here nor there. that we haven't seen anything like it in any of the other stars identified and studied so far suggests its not a natural phenomenon, that it fails to orbit like the rest of the solar system reinforces the not natural thesis, but as to who made it or why they would do so, that's a huge speculation I wouldn't go into without proof one way or the other that it was indeed the case

Not every phenomenon in space is going to be common or likely to happen and our current explorations are minuscule compared to the vastness of our universe. So for me at least the jury is still out.

The Oort cloud is merely a conjecture to explain the origin of comets. It is a very sensible conjecture, consistent with a lot of data that we have, but no more than that. Nobody has ever seen it, nor is anybody likely to see it for a long time to come.
