I play it boring and safe with the Destroyer.....Typhoon/Scorpion (for phantoms)...Cyclonics 4, AP 4, AR AMP 3...War fighter package 5.......murders everything on gold (even mows down annoying phantoms before they can disappear) and he's also a beast on Plat with that package.... I try not to dip out of Devastator mode, but i will if i'm getting lit up, or phantoms pew-pew are taking down my shields quick......i just like being a walking tank sometimes and squeezing the Typhoon until it's empty....  |

I always spec into devastator mode even when I go melee builds. Not being staggered is just too good to pass on for me, plus can get really tanky with it which is also good. Adrenaline always.
Most of the time I just skip missiles thingies and go kill things with typhoon + piranha and assault loadout though. Phaeston for gold cause it appears on the hero selection screen, hence style points. Me no like nade spam on this character.

I just love the troll launcher but am unwilling to give up DM, and am too big of a wuss to go no-Fitness (since speccing into DM means you need Adrenaline III, and no-Cyclonic+no-Fitness is a little too squishy for me for this kit) |

I honestly don't see the point of missile systems on him. I tried it maxed out several times and it just doesn't seem that useful on him. I could be wrong, but I prefer the grenades as a get off me tool. The only thing missiles systems does is make him look cooler. It looks cool, feels/sounds cool, and I like how its just constantly randomly staggering/damaging enemies without having to direct it. Its just a really fun and unique power, imo. Definitely not a necessity from a min/max perspective or anything. |

MFG, for me, is the panic button. I never run Drenmod on him, unless I am going 06666. I like him being a slow tank, makes him different and you have to really stay aware of the Phantoms and Banshees. For Banshees, I either overwhelm with DPS to stop their charge, or I kite. For Phantoms, I have MFG. Destroyer: Hi Miss Phantom, where'd you come from? Phantom: I have something special for you! Destroyer: lol, here sweetie, take this! <Spams three MFGs in quick succession> Destroyer: ...you were saying? ... I do not use them unless I am in trouble, or a spawn appeared around the corner I was running to, and then they need fast killing. When saved for these purposes, you can ham with 3 or 4 in a row and everything dies. It is my favorite grenade, by far. |

Mmmmh, I'm pretty sure Platinum was first soloed by Xcal with a Kroguard, the day it was released. Then Redjohn grabbed the second solo the same day, don't remember with which kit. Also, MFG not killing much? Maaaannnn! You sure about that? I remember I used to love their spawn wiping capabilities |

I tried Destroyer with ADAS and fire rounds. Wow... I don't know why I didn't try this sooner. He just... wrecks everything with this combination. It was pretty funny to stun lock Phantoms endlessly and Dragoons dodge immediately only to wipe them out with multi frags. I took a Piranha as back up. It was stupid good.
