What also helps is having high-res monitor (2.5 K and over), lil triangle out of post-it paper glued to its crosshair middle I use a custom crosshair in most games for years now. Works much better than post-its

I use a custom crosshair in most games for years now. Works much better than post-its Could you please share how you made it? I NEED it in my life, because I can't shoot. Well, when I started I used to run an AHK script that I found within the Tribes Ascend community back then because the crosshairs in this game were bad. A friend of mine then designed a custom crosshair for us which we used. Eventually the script stopped working for some reason and I looked for a while until I ran across this nice software: Custom Desktop LogoIt basically lets you put an image on top of the desktop. All you need to do is find or create a custom crosshair and save it (I think it's .png with transparent background), put it in the right folder and choose it and adjust the placement in the software so that the "logo" is centered in the middle of the screen. Your games should be running in borderless windowed mode so that the "logo" is placed on top of that. You can see how it looks for me in the few videos I made: Drell GameplayOh there are also some monitors (namely the ASUS gaming ones) that come with a crosshair feature in their OSD that you can enable or disable. I guess that's even better and should even work in fullscreen mode (not sure though). But as far as I know you can't change the default crosshair they provide.

XCPTNLThank you so so much! This is going to help me immensely. The crosshair you use is perfect - it's visible, not blurry and pops out, while that faint blue circle ME3 has just doesn't do much for me - most of the time, I'm not even sure what I'm shooting at, unless it's a shotgun in the face from point blank range. Alas, my laptop, although it's a gaming one (Alienware 17 R4), doesn't have this nice feature, so I'll try that software you gave the link to and see how it goes (but I'm pretty sure that as soon as I find a custom crosshair that I like, it'll drastically boost my performance).

I think it depends, it always does. I mean, the behavior of certain weapons change dramatically by the way you mod it. Case in point, the Saber. Popping heads or landing nothing but headshots from afar is no small task, and a scope on the Saber can often be the best last-second choice before hitting the spacebar with self-confidence back on the lobby. All scopes can be amazing on the right weapon, on the right hands. I did actually answer 'No' in the poll, but this above, and what Q.Glenn said after that about Saber + scoping, reminded me that Saber is the only gun I've ever put a scope on - because didn't have any other suitable mods available when started on PC. And must admit, I liked it. I haven't used it after the initial matches though, because there are so many better mods to use instead. So other than that short while, I just don't have enough space to use extra scope mods on any guns.

So other than that short while, I just don't have enough space to use extra scope mods on any guns. A scoped Saber on a GI is truly a thing to behold. Phantoms are absolutely allergic to them, I assure you. Come ot think of it, pretty much every thing is. I've done more than a few solos with the Saber. The only thing I don't like about the gun has nothing to do with the gun, coincidentally. Every time I use it, I get people who have to come see me use it. I don't know if they think I am cheating, or if they are bored because everything is dead - but they come stand beside me. I really love it when people want to come hang out next to my infiltrator. We share things like ravager damage, warp balls, scion blasts, grenades.... you get the picture.

Do I have to start it separat or can you somehow autostart it with a beginning match? I guess you see it the whole time, in the menu, in the lobby etc.? How did you get rid of the original crosshair? Does your crosshair change if you swap weapons to something like shotgun where you get a circle usually? Could you provide your crosshair image for some testing so I don't have to create my own? 1. It's just a normal program displaying a custom logo - so yes, you have to start the program and see it all the time. Doesn't bother me. Might be annoying in SP games when you have it in cutscenes, dialogues and such. 2. I did not get rid of the original crosshair. It is still there. The slim blue lines. Also the shotgun circles or the sniper rifle scopes. In some games you have an option to disable the crosshair(s) but I usually don't bother turning them off unless they are totally annoying in some way. 3. No, nothing changes. There is no connection to the game and what happens inside the game. But like I said before I have the original crosshairs turned on so I still the the shotgun circle but in the center there is always my own crosshair as well which is what I focus on the most. 4. The crosshair I use was made by a friend with some input of what I'd like to have (overall look but also 2 colours so it works good on dark and light backgrounds) and I'm not sure if he is okay with me sharing it with other people. But you don't need to design your own - there are so many available on the internet so just google some that you like and try them. It's what I did at first back when I started using an additonal/external crosshair to see what works for me.

Maybe I try to create my own. Though finding the time to play the game might be the first step...
