Ah geez. People arguing about other people's choices for the ending. Its 2012 all over again. You're right - getting back on topic. No one has givem me any reasons that work for me to nuke Andromeda utterly to go back and reinvent the ME3 ending wheel instead. The franchise should eventually return to the Milky Way after tying up story threads left open in Andromeda. They can and should just move forward now without declaring a canon ending to ME3. I still can't vote in the poll because there is no option for returning to the Milky Way via Andromeda.

I admit I've been tempted to do that, but I think there are a number of different other options, so I decided just to not vote unless the poll was changed to make things clearer. (I can be stubborn )

If it were up to me the ME franchise would consist of two sub franchises one for the Milky Way and one for Andromeda. I think the Milky Way is more interesting but that is because of how the trilogy fleshed it out. Andromeda has a lot of potential and unanswered questions. That said I think the Milky Way is the safer bet for the franchise.

That's what I've posted a few times before. Have the team that made MEA stay in Andromeda while EA brings in another team to work on a game that takes place in the Milky Way. I would have the da team continue making da.

I choose destroy. The game gives me no reason to choose the green or blue. Yet, you support the genophage... which was a non-destroy solution to the krogan problem that altered their DNA without their consent. That's one theme of synthesis... and it's woven right into the story throughout it. I don't care what you choose or whether or not you see any reason to choose differently. I'm saying all three endings are woven into the story throughout it and you shouldn't "nuke" the other two just because you consistently choose only one of them. There are people who do choose differently than you and have seen reasons within the story for doing so. Your need to have Bioware rubber stamp your choice does not override the fact that Bioware gave us alternate choices in the first place. To make any one ending canon breaks with that idea of choice; and that IS something they have actively avoided doing in the past. <iframe width="23.960000000000036" height="6.480000000000018" style="position: absolute; width: 23.960000000000036px; height: 6.480000000000018px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_34450954" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="23.960000000000036" height="6.480000000000018" style="position: absolute; width: 23.96px; height: 6.48px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1138px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_48403842" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="23.960000000000036" height="6.480000000000018" style="position: absolute; width: 23.96px; height: 6.48px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 261px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_91989983" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="23.960000000000036" height="6.480000000000018" style="position: absolute; width: 23.96px; height: 6.48px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1138px; top: 261px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_26710502" scrolling="no"></iframe> True my characters choose based on their personality and what they feel is the bes toption so I've hd She'#s who have gone destroy some who have gone with controlling the Reapers and some have chosen synthesis.

My personal opinion though is going back to the MW will divide the fan base even more.

Although I also believe with each new game that comes out since ME1 also does this. I suppose that's true of any franchise though.
Let's say they did go back to the Milky Way, but decided not to make a sequel to ME3 as they said they wouldn't earlier. Or they changed their minds on that, but chose a canon ending that people didn't like. Or went back to the Milky Way to write a story about some random person not in any way related to Shepard or the Reapers.

At this stage they just need to decide what the best option is. Imo Andromeda is it.

I love the environment and story behind andromeda and the remnant. However, andromeda only has catsquids to seduce, while the milky way has a dozen or more species to get freaky with.

as long as there is a good Mass Effect game with a sensible plotline, I am voting for either.
IF Ryder returns for Andromeda, I do want him to mature as a Leader that is in character for him. If someone else, the New PC should be capable to be a believable leader and in addition to have a sense of human.
If Milk way, having an New PC would be nice. Being different from Shepard and Ryder is a must.
Either way or both, I would love to punch a Batarian in a repackaged punch the reporter thing that Shepard is known for.

Yeah I don’t think the setting should really dictate whether the game is good or not, and I would like to see Ryder progress from the first game. Everything summing up to the end game should have some effect on the character. As for punching things, I want to punch a space paparazzi.
