We're going to have to agree to disagree on Ragnarok. But I'm a kiwi, so Waititi's humour is pretty much what I look for when I want funny. Same with What We Do In The Shadows (both film and series - although the film was funnier). I do like the first Thor more than Ragnarok, though.
On Endgame and the hammer...he couldn't do it until that point because he hadn't traveled into the past before then. At that point in Endgame, they were 6 years before Hela re-emerged and squished mjolnir. Makes perfect sense (if you accept that time travel is a possibilty.

I liked both Ragnarok and Dark World about the same. Mid-tier MCU flicks
You guys liked Dr Strange? Are you as amped about the sequel as I am?

I liked the first Dr. Strange movie yes...and I am interested in what they do with the sequel though I haven't seen "WandaVision" yet (I just can't get passed the 1950s vibe)....I'm sure there's s story-driven reason for that look and that the entire series isn't filmed that way...I just can't bring myself to sit long enough to get through it.
But I've always liked Dr. Strange and I think Benedict Cumberbatch was a perfect casting job. I"m also curious to see what role Mordo has to play in this movie since he parted ways with Stephen Strange in the first movie.

I just woke up from watched The Eternals......And the only highlight for me was the character of Makari. It's been a long time since I actually slept through most of a movie, or was otherwise distracted by something else for anywhere from 15 minutes to 40 minutes-- only to look up and see that little to nothing of note has actually happened. I'm so glad I didn't go to the movie theater or pay Rogers 35.00 dollars, much less rush out to buy it without seeing it first. Yeah, I made that mistake with THOR Ragnarok. Never again.
Eternals wasn't a "BAD" movie (in my books, that title still belongs to THOR: Ragnarok......Sorry Dragon.). It was just BORING. Oh, and "Star Fox" (I know he also goes by the name Eros in this movie...figured that was going to be it given the other plays on names from Greek Mythology) is an SNES character, Wesley Snipes is the one and only BLADE. Please tell me tha they're not going to bring BLADE into the same world as the Avengers and have him fight with them (though I know there is precdence for that in the comics and cartoons). In my mind the BLADE movies with Wesley Snipes are the only ones that need to be. And why did they choose Mahershala Ali? He was totally the wrong actor for the role of Vector in ALITA. I can't stand him as an actor (though I do hear he is very good in Green Book). Still, in my mind BLADE is none other then Wesley Snipes. But honestly, I thik that voice over at the end was....pointless.

This trailer was just Oscar Isaac freaking out like he was on Acid or soemthing. Not knowing who he was, hearing voices, talking to himself....the whole thing didn't really make sense (on first watch). I kept thinking what the hell is this? Whats going on? What is this supposed to be?
*Does some reading up on the character* Ooh....That's why it was so weird.

Tried to watch The Eternals today.
Now, some MCU movies are better than others, but how they hell did they manage to make a BORING one!?
Turned it off halfway through, and I made it all the way through Captain Marvel...once...

CAPT. marvel was quite good. I would even rather watch Transformers The Last Knight again (as boring and pointless as that was) it was better than Eternals. The only thing holding my interest in Eternals was Lauren Ridloff's character of Makari because she was Deaf but she was drastically under-used.

I love how in Eternals they try to explain why they or the Celestials didn’t help against Thanos (only get involved with Deviants) yet later have it where they would create an even bigger reason why they should’ve (snapping away half the universe ruined all the Celestial’s Emergence plans).

Watched Eternals. Wasn't as bad as made out to be but was... irrelevant? The entire MCU could exist without that movie being made and not a whit would change. It didn't quite feel, canon. I highly suspect that was conditional and contractual. I enjoyed parts, didn't play out quite how I expected from the beginning. It was also pretty, I liked the gold filigree powers. I expected a traitor and a twist from the get-go, but I was expecting Ajak to be the ringleader early on. I also first saw Gemma Chan on Humans and loved her in the role. (Never did get past the second season though.) Her performance definitely helped move things along. I'm glad she wasn't just relegated to a random role in Cpt Marvel. One of the bigger problems I think it suffered from was stardom. Too many chefs in the kitchen. Endgame worked because everyone you saw showing up were introduced previously. You got repeated cameo dumps without backstory but it worked as part of an epic conclusion. This movie was the origin story for several main characters at once, all portrayed by big names. Consequently, we get little time to generate investment. All the big punches that require a quick attachment to invoke emotion were there but the attachment wasn't. I did get a bit of "Marvel, Game of Thrones" feeling. Kit Harrington was a superfluous character in a superfluous movie. Felt like the entire casting was an exercise in name recognition and twitter followings. They didn't have much time to develop those characters, and I was just typing how I thought they didn't have time to develop their secondary or tertiary characters either, yet on second thought I've changed my mind. I liked Patel, the assistant to Kingo. He brought the room back in focus a few times while my eyes glazed over. He did a great job of simply being human. The Eternals felt like round pegs trying to slip through square holes in comparison to his simple role he matched perfectly. Sure the round pegs might squeeze through but you've rather missed the point then. I'll say that their moral quandary while fairly obvious has a bit of nuance. If a Celestial seemed a bit less like a "planet-golem" and more like an angelic divine being of creation, sacrificing a planet for the continuance of the universe might be a consideration. But as simple "star makers" they hit antagonist very pointedly. They didn't necessarily need to though. There was depth there they could've explored. *** You guys liked Dr Strange? One of my favourite MCU movies. Got some backlash for whitewashing and I am 110% glad they chose who they did, I loved Tilda Swinton's portrayal. "It's not about you" is one of my favourite lines/moments in MCU. That and the way she absolutely controlled the battlefield a couple times. One of my favourite MCU characters now I think about it.

Agreed, Swinton is a great actress. Dr Strange is probably my 3rd fav of all MCU flicks after Infinity War and Civil War. Here's hoping Multi-verse of Madness opens things up regarding the ramping up to SECRET WARS! Also, as a recovering Alcoholic the parallels between Dr Strange's transformation & the 12 steps of AA is pretty cool (both have tragedies that make them suicidal and hopeless, both are egomaniacs, both use spirituality to grow and develop new abilities, both strive to be better people and serve others)

I'd say so. Only question now is who else is in it. Comicverse founders are Charles, Strange himself, Iron Man, Black Bolt, Namor and Mr. Fantastic.
Ioan Gruffudd Reed Richards seems like a good bet. Dunno if they'll bring back Anson Mount as Black Bolt or not, but I'd like to see it. (The Inhumans show was by far the worst thing in the whole MCU so far, but not because of the cast.) Don't think we'll see Namor introduced this way since he hasn't been on screen at all due to complex rights issues in the past.

Namor is said to be an antagonist in the next Black Panther movie, so he could theoretically make an appearance. Rumor has it John Krazinski is in talks to play Reed Richards. There are also rumors that Tom Cruise will be in this movie as a Tony Stark variant (interestingly, he also turned down the Iron Man role before it went to RFJ) It also would not surprise me at all if we see Doctor Strange variants. I'm more convinced than ever that Doctor Strange Supreme from What If...? is gonna be in this.
