Movement Speed > Shields /thread (but I have to admit some things like Ravager goo, Swarmers and Banshee Warp can be really annoying at times)

Bring back the Reave söund effect. Also, buff yo game to 120 fps and your Drell shields will stop regenerating.

My last solo with a Drell was at 165 fps and lets say, went very interesting.Drellguard with claymore or wraith(can't remember).I was without shield the whole run, because of that bug.Not only that, but the enemies, especially the phantrolls and pyros are awful at 120 or more FPS,but managed to finish it somehow.

You gotta have 500+ shields for regeneration to work more or less properly. The more you have the better it works, but the Drell can never even reach 500. Same goes for Vorcha.

Lol funny gif, but so wrong.
The most dominant displays I have ever witnessed on PSN came from the Drells.
Drell Vanguard is ridiculous, and a well played Drell Adept obliterates all.
Ironically, IMO even though the DAI is one of the premiere damage dealers in this game, he still isn't as powerful as the other two.

The problem I find, is when I start to write qualifiers on every opinion, I end up writing this epic novel of qualifiers. Lol I can't be bothered.
Here's another one, the DAI potentially surpasses a GI for damage output if you are willing to go an all 6 build. RM, TC & HG plus the almighty Drell passives & fitness = ME3MP god.

Playing all the Drell regularly the DAI is usually the most deadly one for me personally. No HG, just pure RM Drill Round Black Widow sniping on either gold or plat. Just because it doesn't matter if the enemy is right in front of me or miles away. And I can shoot through walls easily.
Edit: here's a video I made a while back playing with BSN friends in an all Drell Squad. Not with flawless aim but it shows the potential of this DAI build I guess. Works nicely on platinum as well.

I get how the Drell Adept and Drell Infiltrator can be down right lethal. They are arguably the best in their class. But I don't see it with the Drell Vanguard.
I recently tried him with no pull build and Claymore. It was fun, but I wouldn't say he was super strong. I feel like the Asari Vanguard does what he does but better. There is likely something I am missing though.

When the game came out the Drell Vanguard was considered by many to be the weakest Vanguard but he was strong even back then and got even better with grenade capacity gear later on. I know what you mean when you compare him to the Asari Vanguard which is a good kit and seems better on paper but in the end I'm better with the Drell even though I have played the Asari A LOT and usually used it for the first games when levelling up the Vanguard class from level 1. Weapon damage is higher on the Drell and he is faster, maybe that is all it takes. And some practice. I did a video of him with the Claymore as well but it's not online anymore unfortunately. But there should be quite a few on Youtube, solos as well as full squad games. Oh and the Drell can carry more weight by default, so cooldowns are better when running a Claymore setup...

This thread has caused me to realize I've literally never played a drell in this game. Or if I did, it was probably for ~2 waves before giving up.

As far as I can remember the carrying capacity and weapon damage were already high right from the start on all Drell. I might be wrong though and would have to look that stuff up. And he was kicking ass even before the fire explosion stuff - which I don't use most of the time nowadays anyways. Can't remember charge being buffed significantly either and my first few matches were with the Novaguard (and a Mantis Infiltrator) - or do you mean Charge specifically for the Drellguard and not in general? I unlocked the Black Widow and Javelin in the first few packs and mainly played the Salarian Infiltrator for quick credit farming runs to unlock everything as fast as possible. And I remember the Drell Vanguard being harder to handle and more frustrating than the other Vanguards but I never really thought of him as weak or even shitty. I remember Stardusk and me experimenting with this kit a whole day trying to figure out the best setup for ourselves and a guide he was making.

I remember Stardusk and me experimenting with this kit a whole day trying to figure out the best setup for ourselves and a guide he was making. This is one of the first Gold solos with DV and on low FPS. He's nowhere near the beast he is now. The lack of nades is immediately apparent. He didn't have 1000 newtons of force, so he couldn't stagger fantums. The cooldown without improved carrying weight and a Claymore is more brutal. Half a second on Charge CD is the difference between dying or using an Ops pack or simply Charging and restoring your shields, living and playing in a much more aggressive style, which results in much lower kill time. I mean you take a combo of buffed weapons damage, buffed grenade damage, buffed Charge and that means that a Brute dies in ONE combo. Charge, shotgun to face, grenade to face --> DED Instead of Charge, shotgun to face, grenade to face, reload, shotgun to face. It makes a world of difference when fighting multiple enemies.

Wasn't there a solo before that on Dagger? Anyways, the grenade gear was the most noticable change for me. For any grenade kit actually but for the Drelldept and Drellguard the most I guess. Not arguing against you that the buffs made him into what he is now. I'm just not agreeing that he was useless/shitty at first... just a bit special and harder to get into than most kits. And obviously stronger now. Talking about fire explosions... I just did 2 games with PUGs and used Incendiary on the Claymore with the AP Barrel - so even worse cooldowns, but fire explosions. I used the fire explosion setup with the Wraith for a while. But a Drelldept needs a Claymore Games worked out well but it was only gold. I think on platinum those cooldowns might be a little bit too long for my liking.

DAI>DA>DV-efficiency.Even with all these fixes DV is least efficient drell. Can't say what is the order for fun, because everyone has his preferences.End of discusion Totally agree. I'd rank them the same way when it comes to efficiency and damage output. DAI is also the most versatile in my opinion vs. any faction and diffculty. Then again he's an infiltrator so that's that. Fun order for me personally depends heavily on "mood of the day" although it's usually a close race, also depends who I'm playing with and if the connection to the host is good because then I can play the DV offhost without too much hassle. Guess I play the DAI the most, then DV and DA the least. But still I play Drell more than any other kit, so...

I don't know, he still feels lacking compared to the other Vanguards. I look at all the other Vanguards, and I just can't see anything that makes him a "have to pick this guy" type of character. I didn't know weapon weight was a thing for him, so thanks for that information. But even still, I think other Vanguards are either more fun or more useful. I personally prefer the Slayer, Cerberus, and Batarian for my Vanguards personally. The Drell Vanguard isn't as dangerous to me as the Drell Adept and Infiltrators. I can see why he would be weak when he first came out. The Asari is not only way better but stasis is more useful than pull too.
