I want to make a human adept build, does anyone know if shockwave radius was ever fixed or works or console? I remember hearing an issue that it was broken on pc but I’m on the xbone I want to make a human adept build, does anyone know if shockwave radius was ever fixed or works or console? I remember hearing an issue that it was broken on pc but I’m on the xbone It's broken on pc, but fine on Xbox. I have seen Mgamerz say it is broken on console just like pc (which makes sense since it's a port), but I haven't noticed and I always spec radius. Never had a problem with it on PS3 either. I've always just suspected it was people aiming it wrong because they don't understand how the hitbox for it works. There seems to be a "deadzone" in the hitbox right in the centre where you aim (at least with radius evo), so picture firing donuts at the enemy, and aim a little to the side, never had a radius shockwave miss when aimed like that, only when directly at. Plus, the very centre, and very edges have a pretty small hitbox as well, another reason why the donut aiming works, you avoid the weakpoints that can easily fit between even swarmers charging at you, and focus on using the most reliable part of the hitbox. What this actually means in taking radius vs non-radius is a slightly different aiming method needs to be employed, but it CAN create a wider AoE (useful for stagger and multi-detonation), it just takes a little getting used to. After learning to use radius shockwave, I have a lot of difficulty with non-radius. And yes, this is not all a STRICTLY correct description of the hitbox for shockwave, and I'm too lazy to dig up the old pics, but this is a visual aid description.

Eventually it will come back in to phase and start hitting again, but may not happen within the match. The more you use it, the quicker out of phase it becomes. All that can be avoided by specing for damage instead.

All that can be avoided by specing for damage instead. Yeah, I just tested it, and the radius evo behaves exactly the same as on PS3 for hitbox changes, but yeah, due to some hardware differences (since the code is apparently the same), it does go negative briefly occassionally. It was fun finally being able to hit stuff with shockwave again (I really suck at non-radius shockwave aiming), though it was frustrating the two times it stopped working for me. Made husks/abombs/phantoms REALLY scary. Very odd behaviour, but as someone who's tinkered with emulation a lot, it's not surprising to me that the same code can cause different effects on different hardware. It's also sad, I wish there was a fix for it, because I love my radius shockwave (and as a side effect, I've stopped playing shockwave kits on PC since I did spec out of it based on people saying it was bugged on PC, just never tested it myself before tonight). Part of the test was really wanting to test what duhhspacecowboy said about it not changing the power at all, which would point at the evo checking the wrong subroutine instead of just calculating "wrongly", but nope, the hitbox changes all went the same as I am used to.

Say whaaaaat? I had no idea that they don't even have to hit you to sync kill you. A friend of mine said they can ONLY sync kill if they land their melee on you. Its never come up except for Platinum. The Phantom that got me last night missed and I had no idea where she was. Maybe she was invisible to me. I guess I should have just dodged regardless but I thought I was fine since she missed.Good to know that. I had no idea that was how it worked. Thanks a lot.
As for the Shadow, from what I've tried, I really like the Carnifex with AP rounds heavy barrell and melee stunner. I will try the Talon as well.

I run Power Mag + Stunner with Drill Rounds on her with a hybrid build.

I did know that you can cancel electric slash and it doesn't trigger a cool down. I detonate her own tech bursts this way after a shadow strike. Also, I know this is totally unnecessary, but one of my favorite things to do in the game is when I see a possessed abomination, I do electric slash to down the barrier and than instantly heavy melee. It just looks so cool is all. Though I die once in a while against abominations because of annoying trigger happy randoms who need to kill everything and don't know the Shadow's heavy melee will kill them without detonating them. I tried the Talon. it is very good for her. But I like the range on the Carnifex and Paladin myself. I don't know if I can give up heavy barrel for power magnifier. I feel like I need heavy barrel against bosses. I use power magnifier as a mod instead for her so I don't have to sacrifice the heavy barrel. Not sure if that's the best move, but its my current setup for her.

Since you SHOULD be cloaking before using powers, weight isn't really an issue. BPP was my first (and only) level X UR SMG, so it might not be the best choice, but I've used it a lot (I got it to X when my Hurricane was 1 and my CSMG was 2).

Worse still is that they do not need to complete the priming animation either. They can be staggered or have the initial melee hit interrupted and would still be considered primed for sync. Happens to my melee kits from time to time. I'll see maybe a few frames of a Phantom's priming swing, which will be cancelled by a weapon shot. If I miss the followup melee, then I can be pretty sure a sync will follow. You can kinda notice when this happens as an almost imperceptible hesitation or stutter-step in Phantoms. It can technically occur with any sync-killing unit too.

I've been using either Wraith or Piranha on her forever now. And is it just me, or can the Krogan Soldier actually end up being tankier than the Krogan Sentinel? I am really liked the Krogan soldier with Claymore. And I always knew the Paladin was powerful as hell, but no idea he was THIS powerful. I rebuilt him a bit better and he's a monster. Is he like one of the most powerful characters in the game? Has to be top 5 at least.

My KroSol build 's damage, particularly anti-armour damage is so high he completely trivializes Gold Reapers in ways that should be illegal. BatSol, as mentioned, is also a very good character, but output wise, Claymoar KroSol is something else. Only ever seen a GI drop stuff faster.

Was running a Human Adept(6/6/6/4/4) with a Talon in gold last night. Extracted in all of my games besides one where I had the misfortune of some awful teammates. Solo’d 3 different rounds when they died and then the 4th guy left. Ended up wiping after the objective on wave 10 because I got grabbed by a Banshee and they couldn’t kill one without a rocket. imgur.com/a/1Eud0 (couldn’t get img preview to work)

I've tried the Wraith and Piranha. They are my favorite shotguns for her. Its just that I want to use different weapons on her other than shotguns. Claymoar KroSol is best KroSol. Been running him like that for a long time now. Thanks. I'm definitely going to try this build tonight. I have only 3 points in carnage and maxed out rage. That is the only thing different in our builds. But I guess the Carnage really helps against armor as you said. And I know the Batarian Soldier is great. He can steam roll enemies really well. Its just that outside of the Krogan Warlord, I wasn't a big fan of any other Krogan, but I gave Krogan Soldier another shot. He seemed like he was way harder to kill than the Krogan Sentinel. And isn't pretty much every soldier character a decent one outside of maybe Battlefield 3? I mean, the Destroyer, Turian Soldier, and Geth Trooper are all really solid.

I've had this happen to me as the Krogan Warlord and it was annoying when it happened. Its happened to me as a Vanguard as well. I know how to deal with Phantoms but every once in a while I die to them and its just annoying. I've had instances where they have sync killed me but I fell out of it. Same with Praetorians as well. This is how it works \ Yup, have had something similar like that happen to me. I was not amused. Phantoms can be such nonsense sometimes. I know I've mentioned this before, but seeing the Phantom sync kill enemies that are 5 times larger than her (Krogans, Batarian, Destroyer) just looks really stupid.

sync kill units are primed for sync when spawning, at least i m sure for banshees. Maybe not always though? Or Do u see any swing sign in the vid ? Nah Don't know for sure (you are usually the one i turn to for game mechanics) but this classic has happened all to often; I take down one near the LZ on Giant just to have a new spawning right behind me for a sync kill. Maybe if a bit of lag is added to the equation, it distorts the outcome?

It's not just the armour Carnage helps with, as a Detonator, explosion damage is based on the rank of the two powers (Inferno Grenade and Carnage) involved, so a rank 6 Carnage not only does >2k armour damage, it also improves your Fire Explosions. It's also a great stagger power for mooks, also doing not-insignificant damage to them (and if you have team-members with Detonators, Carnage has a very small priming window). It's my favourite power in the game. As to that build, a Grenade, a Carnage, and a Claymore shot, in ANY order will instantly drop a Brute, probably also an unpossessed Scion. Claymore+Carnage will kill a Brute via DoT, but it's also not many ticks at all as neither have a particularly long DoT duration. A Grenade or two lobbed into a spawn will often kill every non-shielded/barriered boss in it. Even shielded mooks will die to the DoT, and unpossessed Scion or Brute or Ravager is also dead. Arguably, Phasic rounds would work better, covering his weakness (Shields/Barriers), but I have a thing for Incendiary Ammo on a Claymore, and also on such a fire-centric character, it's suitable for his gun to also set people on fire.

The Battlefield 3 is a monster too, don't underestimate the burst damage he can do. The routine is Claymore>AR Claymore>Carnage>Frag. Most shit dies very quickly, some people swear by IA, but disruptor gives you a TB and a 6+6 FE instead of a 6+1 and disruptor is better for boss shield/barrier. kalence.weebly.com/me3-builder.html#25!3803565!!34O53334!GDFA.G
