Like almost everyone already said: You don't leave the team when doing objectives, especially not escorts. It annoys the fuck out of me when someone leaves and I won't help him or her for the rest of the game if they die. Everyone should work together as a team, that's what it's about, teamwork and I learned that from the best of you guys here

There are exceptions. I hosted a gold Jugg last night. Reapers/dagger. I was alone for three waves, then one teammate joined--another Jugg. We duoed to extraction.
Let me tell you, two Juggs standing together in a choke point are really powerful.
Anyway, our last objective was a hack, which I stood over. The other Jugg went to the other side of the map for awhile and battled all the bosses. And I had almost no enemies for a long time. He showed up near the end. No problem at all.
So with all the other kits, I agree, but I'm still not sure about the Jugg, at least, not under all circumstances.

I think I would say help with escort is almost always more useful. Out of all games I have ever played, only few escorts were such a clusterfuck that having Juggy locking enemies down elsewhere would help. Most of times, even with weaker teams, the group of four people around the drone can handle things, even if they need revives and Juggy can still be beneficial there by deflecting enemies closest to team either through stun or with shield.

If the Jugge is well-played,shouldn't be a problem to do deal with any objective. It's the strongest character,so don't be shy, help with the objectives . I use it only for solos, without hex shield and works very well for me

The rare occasions that I ever Jugg on gold, I'm actually hoping somebody kills what I've got locked down via melee. I had a pretty crappy Jugg run with |inert| the other day, and I was appreciating whenever his KroSent blasted the shit out of whatever I was gripping. Batter up. As a Jugg, I feel like I need to draw aggro. But when I'm there, I just get stuck in a melee rut...just to keep my shields up within the enemy swarm. Doesn't take very long to get shield juice back. Takes a LOT longer for the actual kill most of the time. So it ends up as: I'll draw the aggro, you deplete the wave budgets. Use weapons and the siegepulse/techcombo explosions to kill , nobody wants a melee only jugger on their team that BS takes ages. Best for weapon only Jugger is reegar with piercing+damage barrel+extra ammo combined with fire ammo the second weapon does not matter that much i prefer a decent level Plasma Rifle.

There is basically no valid reasons for not helping with objectives with any kit in the game, of course a Juggernaut player should help out with an escort.
Why would anyone want to play him like a "tank"? There really is no need for that in this game, the Juggernaut is a killing machine and by far the most fun to play that way (why anyone voluntarily would want to play this game by being the Juggernaut "tank" that goes around heavy meeleing to get the aggro off team mates or the "medic" by spamming shield boost with a Volus is just beyond me.)

Idk, are the Juggs well rounded and can hold an intelligent conversation? But seriously yes Juggs should be in the circle of duty- do eet- or I will consider you a leech or crappy Jugg. Unfortunately my opinion of other randoms doesn't effect much

Yes. Juggs are always better when there is an intelligent woman at the helm. Most randoms can't help but get distracted though and lose focus of wtf to do to make sure the "objective" gets done.

I've been learning the Jugg. After three respecs, I've settled on a 66464 build specced for damage, hurricane/talon incendiary. And I always failed until I learned adreniline III is mandatory. Thing is, I notice the Jugg seems always seems to be the center of enemy attention, so staying in one place is poor tactics, hence the adreniline. But when an escort is underway, especially in a late wave, the Jugg just draws bosses like flies on stink. Use a missle, and they just respawn right there. It overwhelms the team, unless they are really strong. Which they sometimes are NOT. Wouldn't it be better for the Jugg to go elsewhere and draw them all off? No. In an escort everybody being in the circle always trumps the aggro diversion, because of the increase in drone speed. Before completion on objective waves the budget is illimited so you always have the interest to finish as fast as possible. There are exceptions. I hosted a gold Jugg last night. Reapers/dagger. I was alone for three waves, then one teammate joined--another Jugg. We duoed to extraction. Let me tell you, two Juggs standing together in a choke point are really powerful. He showed up near the end. No problem at all. So with all the other kits, I agree, but I'm still not sure about the Jugg, at least, not under all circumstances. Still do not agree. On hacks the speed depends on the number of players in the circle. You are losing money and delaying the completion. You say that two Jugs in a choke point are really powerful. Let me rephrase that: Two Jugs are really powerful. If specced right (and there are some great suggestions in the Jug build thread) they should be able to withstand any aggro together.

The way i work reegar jugger on plat in pugs is i help with the escort but if the rest are escorting too i have no trouble leaving the circle to proactively neutralize things that are easier to handle for me as a jugger then the other pugs. I stop escorting to short heavy melee on host phantoms that are getting close to stun and kill them off with the reegar. I always try to get the attention of banshees that are closing in... not meleeing but killing her fast with reegar or just getting agro over teammates by shooting her (I avoid banshee melee that shit does allot of dps and kills my reegar dps by stunlok spam. If i was dumb enough to stay in that range but if i got her agro after doing damage and she starts spamming warp balls it's good i go back to the escort she is no danger to teammates or me for some time because warpball damage is close to nothing for a jugger) Close Prethorians i will leave the circle for because i will close to its melee range where it will stop spamming AOE beams messing up my team and will be killed fast without doing to much damage because reegar dps tends to stun and mess up their fire paterns, i try to avoid it's melee because it's stun lock hell and messes up my reegar dps. So much reeger is this post.

I agree most of all with Deerber's short-version answer: No
And having stopped laughing at how quickly Nat was in there with a trademark response, I'm just gonna say that if you're not doing the objective you're score-whoring. And that's it. Drawing aggro my bollocks. I've been playing a few waves with the Jugg recently - he actually got my GPR points reasonably quickly before switching to my GPS as I don't have a high level PPR on this account. 66464 with Adrenaline mandatory. A fully boosted GPS is a thing of great beauty on the Jugg. Escorts are quick and simple with small Hex Shield in front or behind, spamming the 4 rank turret every time a squadmate loses shields. Simples. And don't get me started on being outside the hack circle - doc has said what I think more politely. It's just not acceptable and while I'm unlikely to quit mid-game, I won't hang around for another.

If there are any jugs out there on escorts who can't stand up to the amount of attention the jugs get, don't blame the jugs, blame the people mishandling them.

I admit, this has happened to me a few times as well lol I get too caught up in the killing and forget about the escort but I always run to it as quickly as I can when I find out I've been absent from it, so not really much harm done I think that's what matters the most, that you end up in the circle eventually and not openly ignore it like some people do because they wanna keep score whoring.

It counts for any character, not only for Jugge. Something appears to have gone wonky with the quoting, but I just want to emphasize the part about this practice not being appropriate in pug games, as 99.99% of pugs are unaware of the possibility and wouldn't understand what was happening. Also, geezer's match involved two Juggs, so they didn't glitch the circle, and doc's explanation stands - the timer goes at half the speed, which is just stupid. I don't think there's a single potential clusterfuck situation in the game that two properly specced Juggs can't see out, especially working side by side. Two Juggs, two small maxed Hex Shields, two 3 or 4 ranked Turrets, two PPR Xs, or as I said earlier, perhaps one fully boosted GPS (including Shotgun Gear), and even a centre London hack shouldn't be a problem. Assuming basic L2P knowledge, that is. I include speccing into the (small, maxed) Hex Shield as basic L2P knowledge, because there are no points better spent elsewhere. Fact.
