Nice. The final boss of the stronghold seems to have that familiarity of Destiny’s basic strike boss, alternating between damage phase and add waves, except no silly immunity mechanic. It looks really bullet-spongy, but doesn’t look impossible to do solo, at least so long as ammo can be replenished during the fight. I’m just really curious now as to what the downtime portion really looks like when you’re not in a Javelin just walking around.

Bullet sponge to be expected tbh, unless you want to 1 shot everything an be bored after 10 minutes. It be interesting to see on a higher difficulty cause it wasnt going down anytime fast on normal which i liked but see how it goes fully geared

Nice. Way more informative than the stage demo at E3. Just some random thoughts:
- Flying looks fun! Every time the PC was in flight I was calculating in my head what moves I would do to chain together the longest possible uninterrupted flying time. - Those damage floaties are really distracting. Even for number crunchers like me who like to have that information, it's clear that they obscure too much of your vision. Thankfully options to adjust size and opacity are now confirmed. I would have also preferred that floaties from the same damage source that trigger in quick succession (e.g. from a machine gun like the one the PC had) are combined into just one that adds up the cumulative damage. That would help to cut down on the clutter a lot. - I hope combos do more than just "more damage", because that is kind of boring. It looked like the freeze/shatter combo might have also applied a frozen/slow AoE effect? I couldn't tell with everything that was going on. - Not impressed by the testicle-spider boss fight. Way too bullet-spongey and as a whole the encounter seemed uninspired. Big boss walking around while summoning adds...not exactly breaking the mold here. Everything also seemed to lack any sense of urgency, though that may have been because they cheated the damage from enemies to not have any embarrassing deaths. - For a game that focuses so much on maneuverability what with the jet packs and hovering and whatnot, there seems to be a disappointing lack of interesting ways to exploit that maneuverability during combat. All engagements seemed to happen with the javelins on ground level basically right up in the enemy's face or hovering just above them with little to no movement (vertical or otherwise) except to move between spawns or chase down fleeing enemies. Hopefully this is because the POV was from a colossus, and the impression would be different for the more mobile javelins.

Hypothesis: the Javelins we'd be flying, at least the initial ones will be Haluk's. He's limping which means he likely needs another pilot - which would be us after some shenanigans.

Yeah the numbers need to be toned down a bit. I have a good size TV to hook up to so I don’t need huge yellow numbers to know when I’m getting critical hits. Maybe that may change before launch or a patch.

Flight and combat are not integrated, at all. Iron Man suit can't really Iron Man, you just fly around.
Flying around looks cool, but if all I'm doing is chasing "friends" through a linear path from one ground engagement to another... Meh.
I'm glad to see the video. I am also less interested than I was. Oh well.

Interesting that they are sticking to the co-op gameplay impressions first, while keeping storytelling and hub experience under wraps. I'm curious as to how the Destiny/Division/Rainbow Siege crowd are responding to being courted so directly?

And this from EWKAA: The Colossus can use arm-mounted heavy weapons why flying, but not their shoulder-mounted weapons. It's weird. Despite looking impressive, something in the gameplay seems missing to me. It all looks very...straightforward? Granted we're seeing this out of context. Seeing them perform attacks while maneuvering in the air would be impressive, but most of it is hovering in place or on the ground. Probably biased by the Colossus lead focus. If you keep an eye on the the Storm character, they were zipping around like Tinkerbell, doing some strafing and fly-by attacks, not just hovering. Personally, what I got out of that whole sequence is just a reinforcement that Storm will be my Main.

Well, I did stop watching after a bit. The damage numbers and the repetitive gameplay seemed pretty familiar - the game looks like DAI on guns.
The suit should be able to do combat in full flight mode against regular sized baddies, or get into a hover battle. There are obvious advantages and disadvantages to both modes, and in hover mode you would be vulnerable to GTA attacks.
Variety is the spice. I didn't see enough. Doesn't mean I am 0/10 fuk dis.

Ya i think talents/passives will play into time hoovering in combat no to mention i have no doubt areas with places you can "cooldown" as part of the tactic employed for encounters, storm being a glass canon i suspect may have more flight time than say a colossus before cooling down needed.
As to repetitive combat, it looked about as repetitive as any shooter an only time will tell about variations in encounters, specifically bosses as tbh i expect general fodder to act the same if there the same aswell as elites

So during night it gets Dying Light-ish apparently. that's cool. the combat and designs feels okay but kinda generic, yet the verticality of it all gives it a superhero feeling.
