Origin sucks a lot more than usual...

Same for me.

I've been checking hourly since the middle of the night, and servers are still down.

Origin:

1) Keeps verifying game files (only for ME3) every time I turn PC on.

2) Keeps trying to install 'The Final Hours Of Mass Effect ™ 3'. Which won't install anyway.

3) Is getting on my fucking tits.

Hey everyone, I really think you all should try out that new EA App! Because it's new right? Which means it's better! And smarter and faster. You'll get the best possible gaming experience!

It's an App! Much cooler than Origin, which is just one of those .exe files.

It's also still in beta and will remain so forever. Which means you get to test drive it! How awesome is that - just like driving a new Ferrari at the Fiorani Circuit. You'll be the next Senna or Schumacher!

Just look at how much EA has achieved already: They have already fixed various bugs and made more new improvements! All because of the feedback from gamers they value so much. I say, we owe it to EA to help out. EA is working so hard on this project and has given us so much in the past. It's a win-win for everyone.

I don't have any friends but if you have, it gets even better! You can connect with those friends! Truly next generation - way ahead of any other social media platform.

I miss buying discs and installing them onto my pc.

I had me2 on disc, only thing online for it was the Cerberus Network.

Last PC game I bought on disc was Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, it was cheaper the pre-order the disc on Amazon so that’s what I did. I ended up throwing the serial number into steam and downloading. Disc never left the case

You didn't mention the crowning achievement of the EA Desktop App: It is the only way to play ME3 through GamePass. And ... wait for it ... it doesn't allow you to dl the FREE MP DLC!

So, if you are new to ME3, and only have access to ME3 through Gamepass, YOU CAN'T PLAY ME3 MULTIPLAYER!

Yes, the EA App is freeing you from many hours wasted running away from Banshees!

  This is a good ploy to make money.  if you want the whole game, you gotsta pay up.  Of course, this also means that Gamepass has dummies paying for what is essentially free demo versions of games....  


  But I digress.  It is a smart way to make money  - and at this point I am not at all surprised that Microsoft and EA are doing shady schtuff.
