Origin sucks a lot more than usual...

Can't log in to Origin, what's wrong with EA? Too much work jumping sharks with previously popular IPs, so they needed some origin people to help out?

Nah, nothing major, really. It's just that as usual, Origin was working...

Origin takes forever to start, online friends appear offline or do not exist until they send you text. Receiving message has no sound notifications when chat is not the active window and friend list is by default attached to main window, splitting takes forever to load friend list again, search is horrible. Good thing that banners are back. But new players still cannot make any progress on their profiles.

I have the offline friends bug since last year, and a Google search has shown that this bug is even older. And most of the time i cant see thr blue arrow on friend avatars so, if they ask me to join their game, i have to force them to send me an invite. I have no sound notifications too, but because i disabled them: they were causing my origin to crash. Let's not talk about the chat window that crashes most of the time, or origin overlay not working in game; and when it's working sometimes typing in game is so slow, so I'm forced to alt tab thr game and typing from Windows. What a shitty software. One day i had even the "origin feedback" window popping up: i proceeded to send my feedback of 2/10 rating, but i couldn't. That window froze and i had to kill thr process in task manager.

I was about to say the same thing. Got another update today and I think I had one yesterday or the day before as well. So it also "updates a lot more than usual" but seems to not get it right and I don't see any noticable changes in the client itself. I also still always land in the settings sections after launch (which is a bug, has to do with launching as administrator or not launching as or whatever... I did look into it but seriously WTF just fix that damn thing EA).
