It's the Achilles armor set (male counterpart to the Wonder woman set, aka Amazon set) with a random Isu helmet I put on for the quest where I needed to hide my face.
Heh, I forgot about this love stroll. Persephone is one tall date But I swear I found a female Mercenary that was even taller (and not bulky too). Alexios was quite intimidated. So you get the Achilles set for playing as Alexios and doing Diana's legendary beasts quests do you? Found the helmet in my inventory its the Myrmidon Supervisors helmet or some such thing. I preferred hekate to Perspehone myself but she turned out to be a using double crossing B$tch!!!! Yep, both sets are unique to male/female protagonist and received by the same activity.
Another Isu, not on top of the food chain, had a personal agenda and used Alexios to climb up. More news at 11 Hekate was too much of a Daenerys twin. Persephone was at least honest in all her dealings with you.

So Sokrates's trials is now in my rearview mirror...and it might not have been the best of the Lost Tales of Greece (that would be 'A Very Bad Day' and 'A Brother's Seduction), but it was still a fairly solid way to 'end the game.' And I pretty much don't have any complaints about the quest line in general, maybe not too knocking my socks off. So lets see here, two quest lines in a row with pretty limited combat. If it wasn't for the little mistake they did at the end of the last one, it would've worked out alright. But I do appreciate the direction that they seem to be heading in...or could be heading in. Philosophical conversations, slow walks, dinners, small stuff that is ripe for character and nice ways to solve new quests. I hope this is something that they continue to do for the next Assassin's Creed and its something that BioWare should definitley look into more. More unique quests. More unique ways to solve quests. Not everything requires combat or some silly 'morality check'. Speaking of which I did really enjoy getting to hang out with Sokrates again. I had Kass play up the ignorance and frustration angle a little bit. After all that is the way she acted in the game with the auto dialogue...and his stuff can be a little confusing sometimes. But at the end I do like how they are friends and I do like how the two of them learned from eachother and engaged in a little philosophy...though I am surprised that he was married... So the sequence where you go back to meet with the Pythia was hillarious. The majordomo was all like 'oh no not you again'...lol...then I curbstomped a bunch of surprised guards...lawl...and then the Pythia was like 'not you again'. Lawl.
Kind of like how they acknowledged the whole bit between the Cult...even though they are all dead...an idea isn't so easy to kill. Perhaps coincidental but I also had to fight a lot of cult guards in here.
As a bonus I was really happy to run into the young Plato...though I thought it was the other way around.
Sokrates's last argument miffed my wife a bit but I kind of understand his point. I mean yes obviously writing is very important..but at least the kind of writing he was practicing...it can't defend himsef.

Checked out the Discovery Tour for a bit, and yes... they're still excellently narrated. I see they also added a little quiz you can take at the end too - nice. And just like in Origins, you can also mimic the NPC animations at specific spots. Kassandra... Rock Star.

Question regarding character building, is archery (well hunter) any good at low levels? Or should I focus on assassin or warrior?

Question regarding character building, is archery (well hunter) any good at low levels? Or should I focus on assassin or warrior? My first PT I used the bow a lot but didn't invest enough early on in Hunter skills, so it became a bit hard. Second time I went full Assassin and relied on stealth (AKA Patience ) with lots of points/engravings in CRIT and CRIT Damage and Assassin abilities. I found this really rewarding but it can be hard going early on. Rush Assassination is great and once you get your spear to level 3 you can take down whole small camps with one hit of whatever button you have it assigned to. Heroic Strike is really good for when you get caught in melee as it does massage damage if you have invested in assassin abilities. And once you get the full pirate set Assassin with heavy investment in CRIT and Crit damage will take down even most of the touchest enemies in one hit or at worst 2.

Question regarding character building, is archery (well hunter) any good at low levels? Or should I focus on assassin or warrior? Both Assassin and Hunter are viable early on, but I swear the game is trying to push you mostly to Warrior in the Prologue phase, probably to get you better acquainted with the combat. At around level 15 you should have enough points and gear to really feel the specializations being quite different from one another. You can go purely for one style (not saying "spec" since there are skills in all 3 trees that are useful for all playstyles), but it's good to mix them. I'd say having some Hunter stuff works well both with Warrior and Assassin playstyles. Combining Warrior and Assassin is somewhat counter intuitive, but it has interesting builds too.
Gear matters a lot. Keep any decent piece that has Crit stuff on it - "Crit on full health" and "Crit damage on full health" are especially good (if you can keep your Health full in combat). Stuff like "Damage to Athenians/Spartans/Animals" is usually vendor/recycle trash and it hurts when they are on gear with good Crit stuff too The "chance to reduce damage by half" is also helpful if you get hit a lot.

I was going to write that too, I think several of us discussed that when we first played it.

I got some sort of hunter/assassin thing going (almost level 8, I've done everything on Kephallonia, I'm ready to leave now). I really like the multi-arrow skills.
I'll see how it goes.

Have you used Rush Assassination yet? That's really cool because it teleports you up onto walls or across fairly decent distances so you not only get a kill but can move to different area where there are no guards without being seen.

When I first saw the skill animation (love the feature) I took it, no questions asked And I knew it screamed "immersion breaker" for many conservative AC fans that preach "historical realism" and point back at AC1 or AC2. Because yeah, there totally was that dude in a white bathrobe who had a boxing match with the pope in the ruins of an extinct Apex civilization under the Sistine chapel. We talk about it in history class.
Also it's a great skill to have for the two seconds pre-battle window after a cutscene, because you have the time to activate it and pretty much end the fight in no time. I also use it for those pesky horseman or to move around vertically. Works well with Smoke bomb too.

What's the verdict? The pope has a nice footwork, but his left hook leaves a lot to be desired.

I played a bit more, I'm at the "final push" on Megaris now. I really like the bow more than going warrior, but I still need to slash people with weapons as the bow in melee is atrocious.
Also, the multi-arrow skill is great for gathering leather, you just need to find a bunch of animals hanging out near each others.

The damn resource requirements for armour upgrades etc. unfortunately leads to mass animal slaughter on many occasions. You'll find on occasion places where there are just loads of animals a that continually respawn, there is a small lake in Makedonia and a place in southern Lakonia and I just sat in cover there for ages slaughtering the poor beasts.

Didn't get much time to game yesterday so skipped my MEA PT to do the daily mercenary quest and also got hooked into a few other message board quests.
I thought there was supposed to be an elite ship quest as well for Ori but couldn't find it? I did pick up a kill 5 merchant ship quests but couldn't find the marker or any damn ships anywhere so that one is going to expire!!!!

Was a bit bored tonight, so took a couple of odd jobs so I could pick up that period-appropriate Abstergo combat belt (to go along with the equally period-appropriate combat boots I had from earlier ). Why...? I have no idea.

Hunter+assassin seems the way to go for stealthy play that also work in conquest. I finished Megaris (well maybe there is a camp or two I didn't clear but whatever). Sniping people is fun. Backstabbing people is fun. Shooting 4 people at the same time is fun. I also killed two mercenaries. The first one was a bounty I picked because the guy was right beside the message board, the other one came over after the first fight turned into a bloodbath... I then killed the guy who put a bounty on me while he slept. My Kassandra might be a bit violent.
