Yeah its fun when you are walking along and some see something in the distance and are like what is that???? Only to find out its a flying wild boar or some other animal. Lots of that in MEA, have experienced several flying Eiroch's and Aadhi recently on Kadara!!!!

Shockingly, I've never seen this in Odyssey. I once saw some colliding ships attempting to take flight. Alexios was standing on the deck of one of them. I eventually managed to have him dive overboard. It was pretty tricky with the crazy, unnatural navigation angles.

Hah, just yesterday I found something new in the game - you can ram ships...going backwards too Actually destroyed one that had the misfortune of being on low health and sneaking behind me while Kass was trying to do "Need for speed" drifting maneuvers.
Man, the things you could get for 10 Orichalcum in Ancient Greece... Want the deadliest Demigodess of all time to be your personal package delivery mail service and run 50 meters instead of you? Just 10 Orichalcum. Someone talked smack to you last year and you need him dead? Just 10 Orichalcum. Need literally anything dead anywhere in the world? Just 10 Orichalcum...
While we are at it, I seem to be getting just the bloodthirsty Orichalcum quests lately. In the old days it was 50/50 for you to get a delivery or steal item task. Now when you ask what the quest NPC wants, it's always "Wipe them out...all of them" Ok...I will just go kill your neighbors, bandits, cultists, witches, pirates, sharks, animals, etc...while your package and property issues remain unsolved...

I stopped playing Odyssey months ago. I'd played over 720 hours of it, and predictably I just ran into a wall. I felt nothing when Kassandra arrived in Hades, and I honestly couldn't even tolerate Kassandra herself for another minute. I'd played way too much.
Today I decided that I'd try to finish what I'd started. I logged in and enjoyed several hours in Hades. Kassandra was great again. I happily completed side content featuring NPCs from throughout the game. If my wife didn't need sleep, I'd be wrapping up Hades tonight.
I liked the resolution of Phoibe's quest. For all that it might be considered predictable, it was sweet and I enjoyed it.
I was less happy with Brasidas' outcome. I felt the game pushing me very strongly in one direction, but I stuck to my personal take and made a call. It went poorly. Hades' closing remarks made some sense and Kassandra/I felt duly humbled for second-guessing him.
I kept expecting some type of BS from Elpenor, but he didn't pull anything too bad. I guess I should wait until I depart Hades before assuming that ship has sailed. I enjoyed interacting with that skeezy schemer once more. He was probably the most interesting of the Cultists for me, but died very early in the story.
I've liked pretty much all of the side quests. I'm presently helping Charon's would-be passengers recover their fares. I think this quest will leave me pretty much finished with Hades, as all else is explored and completed.
I like Hades much more than I enjoyed Elysium. That said, the crappy visibility is sometimes annoying. I do look forward to clear skies in Atlantis.
I like Hades. He's condescending, but not annoyingly so. The coins keep changing hands between Poseidon and Hades as they wager on Kassandra's actions. That's been humorous to watch. I'm curious to see how things end with Hades and how I feel about Poseidon.
I do not look forward to seeing Layla again. I hate the current cast and plot of the present day storyline. Layla's chosen one arc is terrible, and somehow she's still the most likable of the current cast of modern day characters. Ugh. They're all just that bad.
I'll need to hit some vendors when I return to Greece. I think there's gear I missed, stuff added during my break. I need to purge my inventory after Hades and make sure I'm still fully optimized. My all-around Assassin is still brokenly good, but I'd like to see if my newly acquired gear opens any new and interesting doors. I have to assess some of the new power evolutions as well.

I wish they'd just abruptly write her out of the story like they do with every other plotline. Do it in a comic that no one reads. That's a solid go-to.
We could all play next year's Viking game expecting more Layla garbage, and be pleasantly confused at her complete, and totally unexplained, absence.
I recall Layla saying that Berg is on his way into Atlantis. He's one of three good present-day characters they have. If they kill Berg I'll be pissed.

I eventually managed to have him dive overboard. It was pretty tricky with the crazy, unnatural navigation angles. I've never had my ship fly, but once I experienced a hilarious bug after upgrading the hull.
It respawned in riding so high in the water that with the oars down, it looked like it was a hydrofoil. After ten minutes of trying to see if it'd sort itself out naturally, I decided to reload when I realised that in addition to being hard to board the ship from the docks, it was now impossible to get back on the ship after diving into the water to look for sunken treasure.
Poor Kassie was left floating in the water, cursing her crew for being too lazy to throw down a rope.
I suspect Leda might have been paying me back for burning down her farm.

I finished Hades. The missions were pretty cool. It was fun to revisit the various NPCs.
I groaned when the modern day shite loaded. I told my wife, "I wish rocks would fall and kill both of these obnoxious women." I could only laugh and roll my eyes as the situation played out in front of me. Terrible writing. It just keeps getting worse. Maybe they really should just eliminate the modern day storyline. It's so bad now that I dread it.
Atlantis looks pretty cool. I've explored a bit and resolved a couple of side quests. I've also been raiding repositories of knowledge. I built the Isu-forged Assassin Spear. Holy moly. If the game wasn't completely broken before, it certainly is now, based upon my stat page. I may not get to play anymore tonight. I'll try out my newly boosted capabilities tomorrow.
I want to hurry up and find that final skill enhancement. I need to kill 10 isu for that trophy, and I like to just get those types of trophies out of the way. Alternatively, I'll ignore it and collect it after finishing the game.
Speaking of killing Isu, it's silly that I'm killing my way through so many. I thought Dikastes had absolute authority over all but Poseidon. 🙄 Oh, well. I guess no "simulation" is perfect.

I completed the Atlantis DLC today. I really enjoyed the Animus stuff. Reliving Aletheia's time in Atlantis, the city's final days, was pretty cool. The lore revealed in this chapter matched up perfectly with all that came in earlier games, and answered a lot of questions we've had for years. They did a great job bringing that all to life, and in tying up lots of dangling threads.
The angle of Aletheia training two keepers via a single simulation was cool. It made sense. This PT was with Kassandra, and I really enjoyed this final part of her story. I had been thinking, "This is cool, but it's not really what I'm looking for from AC". As I played, though, I got drawn into it. Sometimes something is just so well executed, and a character so likeable, that it just works.
I enjoyed the crazy levels of power attained by the end. Of course, taking that power back into Greece for the Sokrates LToG was absurd. I have been playing on Nightmare for a long time now, and it felt like Easy as the skills and 58 mastery levels (or whatever they're called) piled higher, aside from the fragility that's part of Nightmare. As much as I want to enjoy my new Gear with Alexios in a NG+, I'm not sure it will be remotely feasible.
I did enjoy the final LToG. I always enjoy Sokrates. I enjoyed interacting with him once more. Given how I'm playing it one year after launch, and after finishing everything else, it felt like a goodbye.
Now for the bad. I speak of Layla, of course. The modern story is a mess. The good news is that Deanna and Victoria are gone. The bad news is that the screaming woman on the radio still lives. The worst news is that Layla has gone from poorly written and a bit cheesy to completely unlikeable.
I respect the way they've blended the past and present stories into one linked narrative; but the modern day stuff is just badly written. I do think this modern day chapter was better done than the earlier ones, despite Layla's losing her shit. It seems that Berg remains important to the story, though who can say whether his story will be resolved in the next game or in an off-screen comic? I highly doubt that the next game will begin with Berg and Layla chilling in Atlantis.
So, after 4 100% PTs, I've finally experienced the full Odyssey. I didn't care for LotFB, and doubt I'll bother to play it during future PTs. The main campaign feels like a full story, and the Atlantis arc like an entirely new chapter in the Eagle Bearer's life. That's entirely fitting, and I think they did a good job with it.
The game was good at launch, and it just got better and better with the amazing features added throughout the year. (Odyssey has really spoiled me with its visual customization.) While LotFB was a miss for me, Atlantis was good. I think future PTs will flow nicely from destroying the Cult to resolving the mystery of Atlantis. This is a great game that I'll continue to enjoy for many years.
I look forward to revisiting the game with Alexios again, but I'm not sure when I'll do that. While my break refreshed my enjoyment of the game, I don't want to push my luck. I'm not sure if I'm ready to take this journey again just yet. We'll see. I'll probably start another Alexios PT tomorrow. 🤣
EDIT: I just remembered-- I need to kill a few more Isu with the Such-and-Such of Kronos skill to nab the final trophy. I guess Kass will return to the Atlantis simulation for a few minutes, at least.

You liked those two? I didn't mind the characters in principle; I just found the VA work unbearable. Well, I haven't played Origins so can't speak for Deanna but if the other you're referring to is Alannah then yes I liked those two. That's what pissed me off about that DLC, since it made me utterly despise Layla whom I used to like. And since the series is following her, that really hurts my interest in the series since why follow a character I hate? In that regard this DLC is worse than LotFB, since at least the other one only ruined a game rather than a series.

Yeah, Layla went from irritating to extremely unlikeable in the span of two DLC chapters. I hope they don't expect us to warm up to her really quickly. I already hated the "chosen one" theme. Now, I also find the character nearly unbearable.
Victoria got much better for me in chapters 2 and 3. I even thought, "Just as her VA finds the right voice, they kill her. Damn." Alannah is the woman on the radio? I like her personality okay; I just need her to stop yelling all of her lines. I don't think any of these issues are the VAs. I think it's the VA direction they're receiving. Layla's VA has made some really bad writing tolerable, at times.
Deanna was horrible. Again, probably direction, but she screamed every line in a high-pitched monotone. It was bad. She and Layla had terrible dialogue, too. It was like reading texts between 12yo kids. It was very cringey.
I'm sorry they killed the character you liked. I'd have preferred they develop her more. The VA seemed more in character and at ease those final chapters. Hell, maybe Layla will figure out how to resurrect her or some craziness. At this point, nothing feels out of the question.
I really miss Sean Hastings and Rebecca Crane. Rebecca was cringey at first, too; and Sean was a douche. The thing is, they stayed around long enough for the actors to really become the characters. We had time to build relationships and get attached. Even just hearing Sean ("Deacon") in my ear during AC Unity made that game feel more like AC for me. (Having a serious cliffhanger with the characters at the end of Syndicate get resolved offscreen and go unmentioned was really piss poor.) NPCs mean a lot.

So, I did turn Odyssey on again today. I loaded Kassandra, gated to Elysium, and killed the needed Isu with "Blessing of Kronos". I felt like I'd only need two or three more, but I must have killed 8 or more before the trophy triggered. Whatever the case, my Odyssey trophy percentage is finally restored to 100%. It's been a very long time since that's been the case, with all of the updates and LToG ever moving the goalposts. I did start up a NG+ with Alexios. I progressed as far as Megaris, and I've already completed many of Stentor's requests. My dog is freaking spoiled. He actually pouted because I was playing today instead of doing what he wanted. This little dude is hilarious. He's clearly way too accustomed to monopolizing my attention. I got killed by Cyclop's thugs just after hearing, "Hey, Shitface!" 🤣 My finger locked up and I didn't parry the first two attacks. So goes Nightmare difficulty. There's no margin for error. The good news is that my crazy, OP build (59 Mastery Levels, now) keeps even level 99 Nightmare from getting grindy. I forgot to sneak back into the cave on Kephallonia and listen to the petitioners. I'd always assume that had been cut from the game (it was in previews) until I read saandrig's post about it. I might need to fast travel back just to do that. I thought the super-hero powers might feel weird in another NG+, but it's been fine. I'm not even using the super flashy stuff from FoA in the main game, anyway. I think it was the flashy Kronos powers, the glowing outfits, and the ambience of Atlantis itself that made going back to Greece feel implausible. I've got Alexios stomping about Megaris in black iron basics and all feels fine. I'll give him and Adrestia a makeover after talking to Elpenor in Khyrra. I like the Dikastes chest and helmet. The Eagle & Serpent emblem is pretty cool. I'll upgrade his look to that for a time, and put the same theme on Adrestia. Every demigod worth his or her salt needs good branding. I'm not sure if this PT will last, but I kind of hope it does. I've missed gaming, but just couldn't summon the will to play any particular game. It's good to be playing again. Edit: Gameplay note I'm thinking of dropping the "Assassin Damage over a Radius" engraving. It's undeniably helpful on Nightmare to kill an encircling swarm with a timely Heroic Strike. Still, it's messy in that it leaves bodies. I prefer leaving no evidence when sneaking. It's also just weird, even by this game's standards. I might drop it and restore the "Rush Assassination Chains to +1 Target" engraving.

I'm still playing Odyssey, though I spun my wheels for a few days. I was annoyed that my 100% Kassandra was missing a few of the Isu cosmetic options after so many hours. (Yes, little stuff like that bothers me.) This was the file I'd used to create my latest Alexios NG+. So, I deleted him and loaded Kassandra.
I immediately bought two of the missing items from the Atlantis smith and felt pretty pleased about it. I thought, "I'll just revisit the various Domae and loot the remaining pieces." I did loot one item, which left two missing. I spent the next two days failing to loot anything of value. Moreover, the damn smith wouldn't update his stock. Eventually, I wised up and forced him to restock by buying everything. I went through 11M drachmae, but I got the desired pieces.
Ultimately, after selling my now ridiculously bloated inventory, I escaped Atlantis/this PT with about 2M drachmae. I created another Alexios NG+, and I've progressed almost to the same point in Phokis/Malis.
The highlights, such as they are: * Nikolaos survived to search for his lost honor. * Elpenor is dead, killed in a cave overlooking an inexplicably large snake skeleton. * Alexios attended the Cult meeting, and learned all about their plans. He met Kassandra, too.
I've completed all of the content in Phokis and I'm pushing northward through Malis. I had to save for the night, but I'm enjoying it again. I'll wrap up Malis, and then backtrack to meet Herodotos at Thermopylai. We'll make a stop in Lokris, and maybe even in Euboea, before hitting Andros and Athens. I'm trying not to think too far ahead, as I want it to feel fresh.
One of the things I like about Alexios is that he looks cool in a much greater variety of armors and outfits than does Kassandra. I'm currently rocking Dikastes Helmet & Belt + Brawler Chest (I think) + Spartan Vambraces + Heavy Spartan Greeves. The chest, arms and legs are in black iron. This outfit nails the "not too shabby and perfectly effective, yet not rich" look. As I head out to start hunting cultists, I may swap in the Dikastes chest with its eagle clutching a serpent emblem. It's a very similar look, but just a bit shinier.
A good look on Kassandra is the Dikastes Chest & Belt + Achilles' vambraces, sandals and helmet. The contours of the Achilles helm just look badass with her seemingly smaller face. You'll have to have completed an Alexios PT, of course, to have the Armor of Achilles.
I keep hoping to land a better Assassin chest. I've used this one through more than an entire PT. It's +24% Assassin, +10% All Damage, +40% Poison Damage plus my engraving (I think +20% Assassin). It's solid, and boosts my poisonous bow damage. Still, I'd have expected to find that perfect item by now, whatever it might be. I'll know it when I see it.
