I haven't played a ton lately, but I did start episode 3 of Legacy of the Hidden Blade today and...eh. Spoilery stuff inside the tag. I can absolutely see how some people might hate the forced marriage and child. It doesn't particularly bother me as much as: 1. being forced to be an absentee parent, even though I went straight from episode 2 to 3, and Kassandra was only "gone" to get the boars Darius asked for. 2. being forced to lie to Darius in promising to keep Natakas and the baby safe. I should have had the choice to stay with Natakas and the baby to help them flee, just like I'd promised to do, instead of going back to help Darius and leaving the family undefended. They could still have had the same outcome if they wanted. Have Kassandra overwhelmed by a surprise attack at the beach, resulting in Natakas' death and the baby's capture. Darius could still survive because his attackers regroup to attack Kassandra. Maybe he even followed the attackers at the beach and arrived in time to see Natakas being sliced to bits, a group running off with the baby, and another attacker about to kill Kassandra. He is too late to save Natakas and the baby, but his arrival allows Kassandra to gain the upper hand again, and the two finish off the attackers who hadn't escaped. 3. being forced into an adversarial relationship with Darius. I can understand him being unfriendly toward her (given that she abandoned his son to die), but so far Kassandra is also being pretty snippy with him, aside from when she admitted to Natakas' death being her fault. (So far, I'm to the point where I met him at the weapons factory and he gave me my quests, and I agreed we should work together on a strategic approach.) 4. having such a creepy looking baby I mean, look at him. Also, glad I left some cultists alive, otherwise this would make no sense. Unless the line changes if you've already eliminated the cult? Gratuitous whale!

Uh...question. Kassandra is roaming Elysium right now, and I keep getting popups about reducing Persephone's control (and took down one fort for Adonis already). But I just talked to Persephone, and she seems...sort of reasonable? Like she's willing to work with Kassandra? Why would I want to reduce her control of Elysium before giving her a chance?

This is one of those cases where it feels like they had to cut a bunch of content, then tried to patch things together as best they could. They definitely don't establish Kassandra's motivation well enough. Persephone is using mind control on her soldiers, and keeping Adonis against his will - so that's supposed to be your encouragement.

Knocking the guards out rather than killing them then means you can "learn" to free them from Persephone's mind control and is something you'll need to do later for a quest. So won't hurt to practice it. Unfortunately the story is a bit ridiculous in Elysium in particular, you'll get the same ending pretty much regardless of what you do.

Thanks Aletheia said this was a simulation she'd created, so I figured Kassandra knows she isn't helping the "real" Adonis by doing any of this, so she might as well take the easier way out and suck up to the immortal in charge of the place. I guess I'll just...go with it. Roleplaying Kassandra playing an RPG within the game

I just played A Life for a Life, where you... have to choose whether to kill Leonidas or Kyros in exchange for having either Brasidas or Phoibe brought to life. I was surprised that Natakas wasn't an option here for people who finished that DLC. But I was also surprised that there wasn't an option to just say, "no deal." Kassandra knows she's inside a simulation and no one is coming back for real, so what's the point of accepting the deal? I killed Kyros, because for whatever reason I couldn't knock him out , but it pained me He was so shocked and sad when Kassandra attacked him.

I'll have to look up that scene on YouTube. She banished me from the palace, but didn't seem too happy with her supposed best friend, either. I had to defeat Hermes twice, but I don't know if that's normal, or a result of my actions.

Lmao!! I thought the first fight might have been a consequence of my actions (I refused to kill some rebels), but both of them? Oh god, what did I do?? I lied to him a few times. Maybe that did it? First lie was when I went to get Kyros, and allowed Kyros to deliver a message to Adonis before taking him to Hermes. I told Hermes we just got delayed. He wasn't happy, but seemed to believe me. Second lie was when he instructed me to go infiltrate one of the forts and NOT get spotted...well, I got spotted near the end of it and didn't want to redo the whole fort, so I lied when I reported back to him. He seemed to believe that, too. I also didn't let him keep the recipe of the eternal flame, but didn't give it to Adonis, either. And I told him Persephone was just using him ...so maybe I shouldn't be surprised. After the second fight, Persephone ...told Hermes he was pathetic and sent him flying off the cliff to his death.

Got thrown into a pit with Cerberus. Tried to fight him with arrows from a distance, and failed miserably. Reloaded and decided to see how much more quickly I would die at melee range with daggers. He is SO much easier that way. Surprise! Met Hades. He ruffled Kassandra's hair. Savage I kinda like him, and will be sure to regret probably killing him later?

So jumped in and did the Weekly Ship because I thought I didn't have the sail but of course I did then decided to do the daily and the weekly. Not too much drama, one fort, one warehouse and one leaders house and was all done. Using the staff was a bit painful as I wasn't spec'd in it and it's so damn slow to wield but as Kass always says:

I liked the map specifically because it was ugly and a bit different. I loved Hades character and I liked the return of previous characters and I liked a lot of the quests more in terms again they were a bit different but yeah some of them were definitely tiresome if not boring for me.

It was my least favorite of the 3. Ugly map, boring quests, and things that will remain unsaid due to not everyone having played it. I liked the map specifically because it was ugly and a bit different. I loved Hades character and I liked the return of previous characters and I liked a lot of the quests more in terms again they were a bit different but yeah some of them were definitely tiresome if not boring for me. Hades was another thing I hated in the DLC. I mean, they ruined all the deities in that DLC but Hades I wished they didn't go with the stereotype that they did. Not my least favorite character in the DLC (again won't spoil but I know you know) but still not enjoyable for me. As for the returning characters, my feelings towards them were meh since I developed no attachment to them even in the main game.
