Jumped back into ACOD yesterday, it is an easy game to jump back and forth to as the controls are just intuitive for me and I suppose 1,00+ hours of playing it will do that.  saandrig page 185!!!!  Anyway had responded to a call by "Kyra"  to come help with some dastardly cult member called "Poldarkes" and found myself on Mykonos. Met Kyra drunk with her Rebels and did not get off to the best of starts but after some talking Kass set out to weaken Poldarkes grip on the island. Destroyed some supplies and killed some Athenian soldiers. Did some flirting and then stole the Islands Treasure chest after stealthily killing every soldier in the fort where it was located. Did more flirting and went hunting with Kyra where Cupid shot his arrow into Kyra's heart for Kass. Some drinking, storytelling and some frolicking ensued from dusk to dawn. At this point due to old man memory I had to check online the right order to do the quests as it is quite specific and easy to mess up the ending. Discovered I needed to go to Delos to do a quest for Sokrates to free or not free or even to kill a rebel, I decided to free the Malaka. Sokrates I think (who can ever tell) was not I think impressed I killed a couple of guards. I forgot I could knock them out.  Then had to do a quest to help Iola by killing a bear, bear was killed and Kass showed kindness to her as this leads to a nice ending for Barnabas.  Then back to Mykonos but that was all the time I had. Next to do the conquest battle then time for Poldarkes to meet Hades. Pic's Reverted to The Adrestia Sails and The Eagle Figurehead Not the warmest of welcomes Sorry Thaletas Kyra is Kass's Iola you have a perfect match waiting for you Kass/Myself goes a bit selfish even bad in the pursuit of Kyra but I think she is by far the best romance option for Kass in the game. So finished with Mykonos, "parting is such sad sorrow" I hope to go there in RL one day but I suspect Kyra won't be around.   So Kass dealt with Poldarkes and then helped Kyra through the conflict and sending him to The Ferryman. Kass also went to speak to Thaletas who was not a happy chappy and blood was spilt and nearly all of it was his. Then it was party time and time to meet Barny's new girlfriend |

So yesterday did nothing but muck around with my build resetting the skill points all 350+ of the damn things and of course stuffed up and had to do it again.
Cannot get ignore half damage to 100% without sacrificing something else I don't want to. Of course, Blacksmiths and game mechanics will not let me sacrifice anything I want to so 60% it is.
I totally did not invest in Fire and substituted Fury of The Bloodline in for Fire which I had already substituted Hero Strike for. FoTBL is a much better cinematic and it fits better with my build as it is a warrior skill.
Made some other background skill changes to up resistances and help more with Critical Assassination but alas it still lacks punch. End game is I am almost indestructible but pack some punch with Fury of The Bloodline, Rush Assassination, Shield Breaker and Ring of Chaos all of which have been beefed up.
Sadly I struggled to make myself play after all that. Hopefully find my mojo today but am struggling with every game I try, may need to find a shorter game.

So have been playing ACOD every day but for a few hours each day at the most. Been jumping backwards and forwards re doing side quests, chasing down cultists and killing Mercenaries. Yesterday started "Epi's" quest to find the Mycenaean artifacts and Stele. I like it when the enemies are dumb enough to just keep climbing up the ladders and getting speared.  Another Mercenary down  I liked this ones name  And another  Investing my new points into Heroic Strike to build an arsenal for the times I cannot use Rush Assassination Fury of The Bloodline, Heroic Strike, Shield Breaker and Ring of Chaos with Heroic Strike subbing out for RA in general play.  When I went to Epi to do his quests I not only had to deal with the numerous wolves but a Cultist, her friend Astra and a damn Mercenary.  |

Well, I jumped back into Odyssey as a warm-up for DA: Veilguard. I needed to get used to the ARPG style of game again and... it's been a while. I think the last game I played at this pace was Valhalla, actually. In-between it's been a string of generally slow-paced puzzle and exploration games, then BG3. So I decided to try NG+ in Odyssey. I figured it'd be a cakewalk until I was nearly 2-shot by the first wolf I ran across, then 1-shot by the first shark I ran across.  So... some gear & ability adjustments needed to be made. And then learning how to parry & dodge again. And real-time decision-making. But after a couple of days now, it's starting to come back to me. |

Happy 6th Anniversary, Odyssey!  OOF. I opened the map the other day and actually took a good look at it. I honestly forgot just how big this game is. I'm curious to see how much of dent I'll make in it before DA:V lands. And that's all it'll be... a dent.  Damn 6 years!!!!!! Doesn't seem that long TBH????? Sign of a good game??? The trick to getting through it much faster last time was not to do the big forts unless it was story based and to skip wherever possible any other fighting like taking down camps etc. as I assume you have all the gear you want and money and resources.

Happy 6th Anniversary, Odyssey! OOF. I opened the map the other day and actually took a good look at it. I honestly forgot just how big this game is. Yeah, it does NOT feel like 6 years.  As far as this PT goes... Money. Gear. That's true - I don't need any more of those. I still experiment with the odd build, so I'm upgrading every now and then. And I was hoping to pick up the Orichalcum I never went looking for in my first PT. The major side quests I'm still picking away at, but I'm skipping the Mercenary job postings, military camps (unless there's a reason), and the timed quests out in the wild. That does lighten the load a bit.
