So I made it off Kepholonia and onto Megaeris and meeting Stentor...
It seems my rust has kind of blown off in terms of remembering this game's combat, controls, and stealth, I am still a bit clunky and finding it difficult to find the right timing when dodging but I cleared out the Cyclops lair to steel the Obsidian eye without being seen and I think pretty much did all of Odyseeus's palace without being seen either with some expert predator shots and stabby stabs. Incuding one hillarious sequence when trying to rescue Odessa they kept spotting me a bit then coming over to investigate so I hid behind the door and murdered like three of them as they came through. I must also say that Devestating Shot must be one of the best, most cinematic, most visceral abilities in the history of everyting. I consistently feel like a bad ass doing it.
And then I did 'Blood Fever' which is a really interesting quest set against the modern context of Covid-19. I mean playing through the game 3 times now and reading up on it (and I think experiencing the consequences for myself 1st PT mayyyyybbbbee) I know what the 'right' decision is in terms of saving the most lives and I can imagine ancient greece did not know about any proper quarentine procedures...but given certain things going on IRL and overall probably a greater understanding of just what a pandemic is as I watch us bungle about the current one I thin I have a little more sympathy for the perspective of the family.
Anyways killing the Cylops is still one of the funniest cutscenes ever just my wife does not like water boarding and she was watching it with me so it made it perhaps a little LESS funny then usual but I dispatched him with ease...I knew I should not have done that one side quest with the brothers but did it anyways...
And I still hate the naval combat. Granted I am still really really rusty at that now entirely forgetting the controls to it which explains the three times it took me to do it. Second attempt was really annoying because two barabarian ships decided to join in on the fun and gank me for...some reason. But then third attempt I burned them al with extreme predudice.

Hopefully not but if the pain continues for an extended period like 6 months or more it can in the worst case cause muscle damage and paralysis. I have had an injection of steroids to the nerve exit site but that has failed to work yet (after 2 weeks) but it can take 30 days. I can keep having shots but they cost $1,200 dollars ago but worst case scenario is I'll have to have an operation but even that isn't a guaranteed solution. I am taking a medicine that mostly eliminates the pain but using the keyboard aggravates the nerve. So it's painful and detrimental to it settling. Anyway hopefully the injection kicks in soon. 🙂 Yikes! I hope the injection works soon! Thank you, me too.

Try not to over think the Naval Combat, I have the benefit of a thousand hours in ACOD and at first even I struggled but the controls are pretty intuitive. Just gotta focus on one target, so picka ship go straight at it's side with the ram, turn and pepper them with javelins and arrows, preferably fire javelins and arrows. Then board and repeat, ring of chaos is great for ship fights knocks them down or sends them over board.

There are a few things in my current ability set that would be really useless for conquest battles, for instance...but then if that is true then I will need to reboot all my attributes and respec Also thinking for conquest battles of changing out my second weapon since I turned my staff into a knockdown staff and staffs are so handy to use in CC battles. That or using an entirely different weapon for that considering I am not sure my other likely legendary staff will be good considering it does poison damage which I do not have any of the poison abilities....hmm testing testing lots of testing to do. Of course if I can respec I might just get poison stuff too.

Re armour sets the abilities are different for all of them, the Pirate set makes a great CRIT assassin build and the Greek Heroes Set make a great set for an indestructible warrior as IIRC it has a 50% plus resistances bonus so you can get Melee, elemental resistance etc to 100% If that is what you were talking about. Obviously normal armour that you find has various diffrent types of ability stats to use and build a strong set. Just in case you don't know the second weapons stats and engravings are added to attack etc. regardless of if you are using it. I really liked Ring of Chaos for the Conquest Battles as well, Are you playing NG+ or a new game because the melee damage affects nearby enemies and assassin damage damages nearby enemies are also useful on things like Heroic Strike in a CC battle.

I normally pay stealth but it was fun playing as an indestructible Lord of Flame Warrior.

Stealth archer assassin right now is probably my go to. Just trying to project in the future to the conquest battles, but I should be fine either way.

Multishot+Explosive arrows. Some extra fire damage on gear is nice, but not a requirement. Just be careful not to hit a target near you. Easily the build that ends a Conquest battle in record time.

You ever wondered what Barnabas does in his spare time?
Yeah, he killed the dog too. Me and his daughter caught him in the act!!!
I don't like climbing and hiking, but if these are the views...
The Predator displayed her prey even in Ancient Greece!

Nice pic's I don't remember Barnabas ever attacking anyone but i do remember the crew of the Adrestia getting involved in a fight on the dock nearby when Kass was attacking someone and the crowd joined in. Who was Kass chasing up the road?

Defeated some husks. Saved some humans. Told an Isu to stick his door where the sun don't shine.
But I do wonder what trickery lay behind that door.

Yeah, I googled it. Glad I didn't walk into that room I would have expected to face some of them in the final boss fight instead of the human spider. ------------- I decided to just finish the DLC. I liked learning about the Isu, but Layla's ending was so...bizarre? Like she's kind of disconnected from reality? I know the staff is affecting her, but one second she's talking to her friend's dead body, the next she's happily chatting over the radio with an ally about the stuff she's learned and how she's just going to hang out in the animus until they come rescue her. What about your friend's corpse, Layla? What about that? And how do you know Otso Berg is stable, given that you refuse to go check on him? Makes no sense that she should end up with the staff. After Kass kept it all that time, she might as well have hung on to it longer, until someone more suited to protecting it could come along.

They did Otso Berg dirty in that DLC.
And yeah I hated Layla’s flippant attitude about murdering Victoria. Not to mention her straight up villain monologue to Otso Berg. They say Valhalla will redeem her and make everyone like her. I highly doubt that.

I mean speaking about being 'disconnected' Alethia's facial reactions was certainly kinda... sus. to the whole thing. I mean they could be going for an 'ultimate power corrupts absolutley' message but that might be hard to stomach when we, the audience, will be playing as her. Could be going for a fairly standard 'redemption' arc but that also would be hard to pull off givne her rather flippant attitude on the whole thing.

Most people I’ve seen who aren’t fans of her actually think it would be neat if this trilogy was setting Layla up not as the next hero but instead the next modern day villain like Juno was.

I mean they could be going for an 'ultimate power corrupts absolutley' message but that might be hard to stomach when we, the audience, will be playing as her. On the contrary - for me, that might actually make her interesting. Getting to play an actual villain in video games that aren't anti-heroes like an evil Warden/Hawke or similar is pretty rare. As it stands, I don't hate Layla...I just don't care about her or anything she does. Turning her into a villain that we have to/get to play might just make her worthy of some attention.

Kass was following the girl from the Daughters of Lalaia quest. The Barnabas bit is from his quest to find his daughter. At some point you all get in a fight. And while the girls were dealing with the armed men on one side, Barnabas was slaughtering dogs and civilians on the other. And no one is going to ask how the bear got there in the last pic? Because truth is I don't know either, but it was a cool shot to take with Kass being in Predator stealth mode.

So here I was feeling quite cock-of-the-walk over getting back into the combat and well a mercenary got me. so far they be getting the drop on me and not vice versa. Worse still I was not able to get my revenge. From there though it was some of the wildest, funiest, gp I have ever seen in this game to date. I ragdolled someone when I was going through and hunting down Hykanos. And well keeping up with my last playthrough bit where I decided to have Kass hunt down any of the mercenaries she can get the drop on and hunt down. I spent a good minute probably laughing though because the first one I ambushed like this was...the mercenary cultist. Kassandra does not even know what the Cultists are and already killing em off...it was all like 'confirm cultist kill' and I was like 'what the?'... then I accidentally crossed way too close to the leader house which was all like the guard was 'you shouldn't be here blargh' *gets triggered* *I priss triangle all casual like and Kass just stabs him through the neck* me: lol. Other than that I had a really surreal battle in the woods above the Spartan Camp after I decided to kill the Athenian Spy and a bunch of bad guys came at me afterwards and it was pitch dark so I had to only kill them via their silleoutes, it was wild. For the very brief moment I am keeping Kass as a bit of a murder murder stab stab, she has not quite adopted her more...oh I just figured out what will be the turning point for her...anyways since Stentor wants me to weaken Athenian forces I will go do that. Didn't quite want to kill everyone in the fort...so naturally I killed everyone on the fort. So I did come up with my 'loadout' for conquest battles too, basically using staff of the dead and added the thing for poison damage and then put fire damage on my sword.
