Element Zero , I'm not surprise. I heard a lot about the carriage races, etc. The arrows penetrate shield stat is also part of the legendary Athenian boots; it doesn't have the depressed 25% hp. AAAGGGGHHHH carriage missions.

So a weird day today, set out to kill Cultists, killed one went to another and he was Level 49 but thought I'd try anyway. Problem was I got to the temple he is in and I ha zero Adrenaline so abandoned that then got caught up doing Barnabas nephew mission as I was on Lemnos and that took forever fighting people at least 4 levels higher than me but finally took down the Ancient Stronghold with all people 4 or 6 levels above me and couldn't complete the for because of a chest locked by another quest. Had a good ending though to the mission with Roxana asking to spend special time with Kass who gladly obliged. Here's an image of the woman/merc I recruited for the Adrestia that shows how huge she is:

Yeah, they’re two separate legendary perks. The one comes from the Athenian Hero set, as you say. The other comes from the Falx of Olympia. The latter caps your health at 25% and increases all of your damage by 100%. It’s a no-brainer for a ranged, or even assassination focused, character. It’s awesome for a warrior too, but far more risky. I got killed earlier just riding past a little Athenian vs Spartan squabble. Phobos slowed like an annoying bastard (I hate that stupid ass auto-slow) and a stray swing hit Kassandra. Freak occurance. The moral is that horse riding is more dangerous than conquest battles. I had done one of those just an hour earlier and killed 76 soldiers, 6 captains and a mercenary with not a scratch.

Element Zero, was Phobos on auto-drive? I always take manual control if I see squabbles because I know how twitchy the AI can be and give such groups a wide berth. You got a point on the sticky terrain. I find Kass stuck at times when she shouldn't. It gets more hairy when I'm at a fort and in a hurry to throw a body over the wall or jump somewhere else. I want to play again but like you, I'd wait for the NG+ which won't be coming soon. I read that it might be next year before it's available.

So pretty pissed off right now, took on a Level 46 Pirate ship and was one shot from finishing it off and the game crashed for the first time ever. Just took down a Level 49 Cultist and his 8 level 49 mooks (I am L42) and now the game won't let me confirm the cultist kill, FFS the guys just lying their with his glowing cult icon and no interact button. Element Zero Obsidian Gryphon saandrig It's Iobates the Stoic King of the Delian Leagueon Lemnos, does anyone know if he is story gated?

Be useful to have it equipped while sniping then swap it out for something else when going to Melee.

dazk , Iobates is not story gated. Is he stuck against something? I once devastated shot a group of Spartans for a bounty and the key guy was flung against a cart and was stuck there. I couldn't interact with him. Perhaps you could DS where the guy is lying, explode some stuff around him to see if he could be jerked loose of whatever is sticking him. The story gated cultists are the ones from; Peloponnesian League Delian League (one or two) Heroes of the Cult (one)

I didn't want to do it again if it is gated. The ones I listed are definitely encountered during the main story. Some of the cultists are listed as automatic story kill. I'm not sure what it means but it's probably linked to some side missions a player can pick up. Take Deianeira for example. Apparently, she is a SQ labeled The Fall of Deianeira. But I didn't pick up her quest, she unexpectedly encountered Kass along the road in the last PT and was killed so this SQ is not necessary to get in order to track her down. Grats, dazk. It's a glitch then. A reload often resolves it.

dazk , as the others said, he’s not fated. If someone’s gated, you won’t find them. Everyone you find is fair game. It’s just a crappy bug. I’ve experienced a fair number of crashes. I’m eager for new features, but I’m also eager for a stable experience. This game is a bit rough. It’s not MEA OMGWHYWASTHISRELEASED? levels of messy, but it’s tough around the edges. EDIT: I don’t mind starting a new PT from level 1, I guess, but not before the level increase is in place. We don’t know yet in which week that will arrive. Also, given how UbiClub seems to work, all of the additional XP I’ve earned will likely benefit a single PT. That means my Kassandra will get an influx of extra skill points, but Alexios likely won’t. I wouldn’t mind deleting my first, somewhat experimental PT in favor of a 1-70 PT for Alexios. The patch gives us 20 new levels, raising the cap to 70. The DLC expansions comprise three episodes. I wonder if they’ll redoectivelyvtake us to 80, 90 and 100? A 1-100 PT is my cup of tea, to be honest. I did constant awards, even when they become less important. MEA handled this perfectky, since even skills you aren’t using boost your passives. For Odyssey, an added benefit is that gear changes in tiers linked to character levels. We’ve already seen that new appearances are incoming post-50. If gear keeps evolving as we approach 100, that would mean more options for the “Fashion’s Creed” feature.

Other than gameplay issues like the cultist today and the other issue I had early one with the line of Sight thing it hasn't been too bad and the actual game crash fighting the ship is the first actual CTD type event I have had. It was weird cause the game was still going in the background but the display was frozen. I am feeling a bit lost/overwhelmed at the moment with ACOD, I am at 90hrs+ Level 43 and I am not sure quite what to do. Figured I'd Clear Lemnos while I was here and then I need to find one more cultist to upgrade the spear to L5 and the only guy showing is an Arena dude apparently. Do you know how much arena work I'd have to do to kill him? I haven't done the arena mission yet. I want to push the story forward but I REALLY want to level 5 my spear as from all the comments I have seen from you guys who have finished it is a significant jump plus I can L3 Abilities. I also have so many areas I still haven't visited. Any suggestions on overall strategy recommended with regards to how to proceed. On a side note Oikos totally screwed me out of 60 Ori yesterday with crap rewards in the lucky dip box.

I find it a joke his armor is part of the WW set. I don't know if he's a he or a she really. Not that I care. Each fight usually starts with four waves of mobs. If it's a huntress champion, you'll get four waves of huntresses and their pets. If it's Spartans, you get four waves of Spartan soldiers. The first round is easy; bandit champion so you get bandits. I think the cultist is the second round and it's Spartans, I think, or is it Athenians. Whatever.

dazk, after 90 hours it’s more than time to advance the story. The story takes you to most of these places you’re visiting preemptively. Spear 5 will come fast if you’re following the story. Spear 6 is the one that takes a while. As Obsidian Gryphon said, Belos is a pushover. You can get that chestpiece very easily. The Arena has 6 low-level challenges. Then, they’re repeated +1 to finish the quest. It’s sort of a shitty structure for the quest, to be honest. I crush the first batch, then come back post-game to defeat the second batch of doppelgängers.

I was able to finish “The Show Must Go On” with no crashes, so my trophy percentage is back to 97%. The as yet unreleased Steropes quest and the Lost Tales are keeping me below 100%. I’m not sure if the addition of unplayable trophies is supposed to be a motivator and signal of upcoming content. Spider-Man did the same thing. The pre-DLC updates were huge, so I suspect it’s the case that most of the DLC, including trophy data, was in those updates. (I never have bothered to earn the final three I’m missing from Spidey. Eventually I will return to it; maybe after all of the DLC is released.)
Anyway, I just rode and sailed around Greece for a while today. I took bounties, deliveries and messenger jobs. I rarely attack ships unprovoked, but I took aim at Spartan vessels as I sailed south of the coast of Messenia. Nothing good has ever happened to Kassandra in Sparta, so “%#*$ ‘em”! I’d cleared four long lingering bounties from my queue by the time I put in at Thera. I want to scramble over those rocks, tomorrow, and just admire the details. Then, I’ll sail north toward Lemnos and Thassos to square up a job. After that, I might go hunting for polemarchos.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will finish clearing the island I am on then hit the finding mum stuff and try and take out the arena guy over the weekend. So you will visit mom in your shining gold armor and tell her "Hi, mom, I conquered Greece single handedly, became a Demigod, got bored and decided to drop by. Got anything to kill?" Level 43 and not Tier 5 spear yet? Do you check the cultist clues on the Cult screen and check them out? Like "a vendor in Korinth has a clue for this Cultist" or "a cultist works on Kythera" or "create a Conquest battle to draw this cultist out"? You can't visit mom with Tier 4 spear, that's just a superhero level of awesome 😁 Btw, did they add body AOE looting with patch 1.06 or earlier? And since when regular soldiers drink health potions? Or is it just that I never noticed because now I am waiting for them to burn down slowly with my stacked Fire gear? 10k crits per tick, malaka! Fun fact - you can burn down an entire market with all the stalls and tents and as long as no one is hurt - it's all fine, no bounty. I got a contracted to protect an Olympic athlete from bandits. Bandits come, I kill, athlete picks a sword and also attacks me. What? Did you expect me to honor the Olympic peace and just use fists? This is not the pankration! Oh, well, I run, come back a minute later to collect my reward and the athlete starts to run away scared when she sees me. Well, I guess it's the Olympics after all. We have a race, I manage to get close and engage a conversation to get paid and leave. I love the orichalcum quests where the NPC only asks for 50 drachmae. And hate the ones where they ask for shark kills. Dude, you are in the middle of the mainland. There isn't a single shark in hundreds of miles radius. What is your malaka beef with the malaka sharks?

Yes, soldiers and mercenaries have health potions. Doesn't help them any though. So, I've encountered two healers. Of the two, I like the first one who wanted to correct the wrongs his grandma made. At least he has character. The second is 'soul less", just plain heal-this-guy and I-want-to-bed-you. About the spear... The funny thing about the spear is at level 5, it looks superb. But when Kass presents it to mom, it's old and broken. heh. I wonder why.

I read the clues but I have mostly been clearing regions and finding the cultists by chance. I'll be sure and get it to Level 5 so I don't disappoint mum. I think AoE looting has been there since the beginning because I remember thinking hey where'd the loot go from those other dead animals I thought I only noticed the health potion drinking enemies when I got past like Level 30. I hope they fix that quest giver thing where they decide to join a fight or are getting attacked by animals and then you intervene and they get all scared and run off. I hate it more when they chase you and want to kill you but I just find a bush to hide it till they "cool down". Those damn shark kills, or kill 5 Athenian ships are annoying I just say no now. I feel bad when I can't give the poor soldiers any goat cause I done sold all my meat already but seriously dude there are about 6 Moose/Sheep etc 30 feet from you. Saw an epic animal battle yesterday, 3 huge boars, 4 Wolves and a Lynx. One boar was the winner!!!!!!

saandrig , I noticed the updated looting-range after the last patch. It’s a big improvement from the frustrating system we had at launch. It sure does make scavenging battlefields like a vulture go quickly. Those 50 drachmae for 8 gazillion XP are also a favorite “quest” of mine. I recall the first time someone asked me for money. I thought, “Why the hell would I just give you money?” That’s still the natural thought, but the metagame makes it a good exchange. I don’t hunt sharks. I turn those annoying ass quests down every time. I may not kill 5 sharks in 100 hours. I’m a misthios, not a fish. I live and work on land, not under the sea. I guess it wouldn’t be AC without some whacky NPC behavior. I like when they cause an uproar without my help. Some dumbass in Athens’ western markets, along the path to the wharves, caused a huge blaze. Several awnings and the contents beneath were ablaze. He was on fire with his peers trying to douse him. It was night and looked pretty impressive. This misthios road through laughing in delight.

I sailed the Aegean some more today, working bounties on pretty much everyone. I got involved in a crazy naval fur ball amidst a thunderstorm. I sunk 6 Athenian ships, 4 Spartan ships and 6 pirate ships. They just kept coming. Landing on Lemnos, I kept working more bounties but ran into the 1 frame-per-6 seconds bug and shut it down for the day. I hope they’re working on all these bugs. New features are good, but I’d love to have a stable experience.

Sometimes, to get some laughs, I'll borrow either side as cat's paw. Some of the camps are placed rather oddly; Athenian right next to Spartan. That's just inviting a fire to spread. I picked up a bounty on a Athenian commander but he's standing smack right among civilians so obviously I've to secretly kill him. I climbed onto the roof of the highest temple which turned out to be under Sparta control. Popped an arrow to kill the commander's guard and he came running, straight to the temple where I sat on the roof, had some popcorn and watched him tried to fight his way out of six Spartans. Picked up a bounty on Athenians, of all things, in Attica. Right outside the city and they're camped right next to the Spartans. Hey guys, come over here, I want to show you something. Watched them fight it out. The Athenians managed to kill the Spartans but I popped off a few of them during the fight. They never noticed. Only one guy left at Athenian camp, popped his head off. On the other hand, it's always a to see NPCs diving out of the way from the horse. I always avoid knocking into them, whether on horse or running about but sometimes, they knee-jerked and rolled out of the way. The funniest is when I went up to the Spartan camp for a conquest battle. The horse was at full gallop but I halted Phobos just inside the gate. The soldiers still jumped into the air and rolled. They were no where near. I've observed soldiers trying to sit down on one of those small stools. He fell, got up and sat down. One was trying to lit his torch from a brazier in the city. he couldn't seem to reach it so he climbed onto one of those flower beds.

Today i overcame my fear of snakes and slaughtered them all in a tomb for an ability point. God my heart is racing.
So I have some questions about Odyssey. Is it worth upgrading an armour set from level 5 and onwards? Or is it only worth to keep Legendary items up to date? I bought the Mycenaean set from the club rewards tab and I love the look so have kept it up to date for awhile, but it is very costly. I am level 19 and in Phokis for reference.
Next question is about our friendly neighborhood snakes. How many are there of these guys? The reason i haven't played through Origins yet is because of the Cobra bonanza. Heard from a few peeps that in Odyssey they are only in Tombs and I can live with that. Is it true through? Are they out in the world space as well?
Other than that I am having great time of it all, though it doesn't really feel all that Assassins Creed to me. Wish they would've made it its own thing and went really nuts with it.

There is a single quest in Athens involving a shady snake breeder. His place has a handful of the suckers about. Other than that mission, you’ll only suffer them in tombs. It’s not worth upgrading unless you’re absolutely in love with a look. An imminent patch is going to divorce cosmetics from mechanics, allowing us to layer our desired look over whatever optimal pieces we’re wearing. The upgrade costs have also been reduced and may be reduced again, if I’ve interpreted the official news accurately. Epic armor is actually better than Legendary Armor. Epic pieces have an extra perk each, and can be engraved with those fancy Legendary perks. Legendary items will also auto-level themselves if you keep them in your personal inventory, as opposed to stashing them aboard Adrestia. For example, a level 23 legendary hood will suddenly jump to level 50 when you finally claim its corresponding chestpiece, or whatnot. It’s a cool feature that isn’t called out anywhere in-game. Seeing as you missed Origins, I can understand why it feels so different, particularly in terms of gameplay. It will probably start feeling much more AC as you start hunting cultists, Isu artifacts, etc... Even without a brotherhood and Templars, it ends up feeling very much an AC game. The themes and activities are thoroughly woven throughout the game.

How many locations does the main quest take you too in total? I mean there are so many Islands. Can I just go to whichever level appropriate one and explore? Also thank you for the snake warning, hate the pesky suckers. You've played Origins right? Probably gonna ask you about them Cobras later.
