Oh - just that I think she's cool. And wish it was the sort of game where she could be more involved. Like a companion in a Bioware game (although wouldn't have to be to that extent). Meaning; it was a wistful sigh, not a sigh of resignation.

So yesterday continued with the Weekly (did some forts for Strategoi) and only have one marksman yet to kill. Sunk the weekly ship without too much grief and the nearest port and place I hadn't opened up was Roxana's Island so headed there knocker her on her ass in a fight, killed some wolves and then beat her in a running race even though I wasn't paying enough attention (damn wife distracting me with inane gibberish) and got stuck on a post. Epic comeback and beat her by a couple of steps. Also killed many Mercenaries after a fort went wrong. Then Kass decided it was time to relax with some wine with Roxy and indulge in some night time exercise!!!! Pic's Kass on killing one of many in a quarry Messed around with my armour Reverted back thought it'd impress Roxana more. Having fun with Roxanna Off to defeat the weekly ship

I'm kinda wishing I hadn't uninstalled Odyssey now, I think I could've used the practice before Valhalla dropped. BG3 is glacial by comparison, I'm gonna be so out of it by the time it drops.

Meaning; it was a wistful sigh, not a sigh of resignation. I think she is one of the best NPC's in the game and I romanced her even though it meant killing Thaletas and lying to her. Here's a Kyra gallery for you.

That's the main reason I have been doing the weekly's. Yesterday spent a lot of time practicing block or whatever it's called "Q" on the keyboard and dodging. I don't think I can make myself uninstall ACOD, I am even regretting MEA as I have never played the mp (TOO SCARED) and was going to give it a try via the Strike Team thing on the Tempest but forgot until after I uninstalled it. Thinking of reinstalling it but space on my C:\ will be tight when I download Valhalla.

So.... Pt 2 of 'Assassins Creed Odyssey is really uncomfortable to play during the year 2020.' Got to the Athens in a bottle arc, the Phoibe dies arc, the finally tracking down Myrnnie arc and reporting in on all the clues, arc. And let's see here we have a plague ravaging Athens and killing people, a Greek politician who promises...to restore Athens to its former glory...by going against the elitist politicians who are ignoring the plight of the common man. Oh and also those same elitist politicians are also concerned that those nuckle draggers will destroy everything they have been working for. Perhaps bonus points that the Cult of Kosmos has infiltrated both parties...yeah I'll just leave that there. Also bumped into Myrnnie and worked through...well her entire plot line. Given that I was supposed to weaken Paros for the eventual attack and considering that Myrnnie mentioned they were in control of a cultist I had little issue with killing every last one of tem. This, of course, took me to the fortified marble quarry and well another one of the distinct areas in the game that also ends up being a lot of trouble for me. And well I solved that by being super aggressive...so it was still a lot of trouble for me! A merc showed up at the end as they do but at least I got through with it at one sitting I just eventually went all Green Arrow on them and killed every last one of them and got some seriously sexy bow action. Which of course led to the duel naval battles, first time breaking the blockade I lost but a lot more aggressive the second time and I got through it...despite being down to red health...same ting happened again when I took out the fleet around Paros island. I find it a bit off putting that Silanos ends up being a Cultist for the P-league and not the Gods of the Aegean given he comes out and fights in a ship... So back to Achaia and keeping in mind some of the above I engaged a merc with the intention to subdue them, I succeeded and seemed I lucked out, one of their crew perks is to 'create weakspots on start of conflict'. Should be interesting to test out...in the few fights I will fight. Also cleared out the fort and brought the Nation level to zero so lets hope it stays that way for the conquest battle so I can keel the cultist.

So yesterday handed the last of the seals into Desmothenes and Lysander and chose to fight for Athens in a conquest battle. Even in my CRIT build it was pretty easy and I took down heaps of Captains and a Mercenary. Then did the battle of 100 hands, again it was pretty easy because most of the time i could get in a position to use Rush Assassination and take down 5 enemies at a time or use Hero Strike with Melee damage applies to nearby enemies and it was all over in a very short time. Having romanced Roxana convinced her to join the Adrestia instead of fighting. Then completed Epie's task which was sped up by me having some of the Stele already. Told poor Epie the truth and he was upset. Did a fort and killed at least half a dozen mnercenaries, they never learn or well they do because they stopped coming. The battle of 100 Hands I love these bracers Fought this mercenary and wanted to recruit her, took a while of trying not to killer then the stupid woman fell off the damn tower thing we were on. I liked her name Poor Epie

I wanted to go through the thread and start picking some of my favorites of the thread, but it wound up being just a bit on the busy side with ME (and certain world events). Could you create a new "What you did today..." thread when the game launches?

Hey Hrungr sure, can't see a reason why we can't do it now as if we wait till the game is playable I will be playing at least 12hrs after other countries because it will release at midnight here. What I really liked about this thread and the people who contributed was that there was a lot of fun and enjoyment and not a lot of negativity. Tt was also great to see people play an AC game for the first time and for the most part enjoy it. One of the main things I remember in the thread without delving back through it was DragonKingReborn comments re the Roosters and how funny the resultant comments were. But overall yes it was amazing that it has been running for 2 years and that people are still playing and posting re the game.

Is that what Alkibiades was doing? I thought he was being loud, obnoxious, and entirely inappropriate. . Ahem. Boy is Messara quite the den of Cultist activity. I think other then the two central areas there is just so many cultists and cult activities that appears in Messara/ Pephka. And I was clearing them all out. First off I went up to do Catch and Release or whatever it was which takes you to Anaphi. On the way there I decided to tangle with a Pirate vessel and actually engage for a chance, it was in the way. And...well that triggered of course a four on one naval battle but one of those four ended up being the Octopus which just happened to stumble into it. Of course it was a really close thing as my health was in the red sinking both him and then the final pirate ship in the struggle. Then in short order did the Swordfish, the other Cultist in the East, then the one hanging off the eastern coast. So I finally also decided to actually give myself a different set of armor to complement my different weapons for conquest battles and the like...and upon great but amused consideration...I chose the Amazonian warrior set. . So Kassandra is looking rather...Wonderous . I did like the health regen which could be beneficial for fighting bosses and things. I did all this work of upgrading and engraving everything because I was expecting a tough fight against the Minotaur because last time it gave me one hell of a fight I believe...and this time I took it out in less then a minute. . Wrapped up with the Obsidian Isles naval battle. Which took me three times.

I did the Kytheria arc with Diona and A. my God that has to be horniest woman in the entire game. I was about to say something else but not sure how it would be received. and B. Its a really good thing I was paying attention. I was just musing to myself before finishing the quest that it would be neat if the order of the sisters changes randomly on new PTs that way you could not remember via a 'cheat'. Well if that's true or not it was a good thing I was paying attention to the actual dialog because I could've sworn it was the sister on the LEFT but when the one on the right said "BY THE FATES" my face did that blinky guy meme. Also it was funny that I know that guards ambush you on the way to the temple and they did this time, but I didn't see them so I ran on to the confrontation and as I approached it said 'must be anonymous to interact'. So I looked behind me, still did not see anything, so i tried again...and this time I noticed a cultist guard confused looking in the distance so I told the girls "hang on I'll brb" and then predatored the guard in question. For the first time this playthrough I also finished a timed bounty quest before actually talking to the quest giver. Was surrounded by Followers of Ares so I bashed em with my staff then when 'arrow for you...arrow for you...arrow for you.' Then got the notice which always makes me smile '...or perhaps she was feeling especially violent that day.' And one more thing too, I've been using Battlecry of Ares the enhanced version now a lot more finally irnoginr my wife's advice...but its hilarious because my initial sock wave that happens when you activate it is enough to kill all people. I think of it as going super-saiyan.

You know that is kind of the trouble with not knowing exactly *when* one will be able to get their grubby little hands on Vaalla considering because I realized what I am about to say could end up back firing. Anyways though in an effort to actually get through this game faster I am pretty much just doing the actual quest objectives and not anything else or really the actual location objectives. I mean Kass is obviously level 99 right now and all her armor is upgraded and so is her gear only thing that is lagging a little behind is the ship so its not really like I need to spend time looting or exploring. But I feel a little bad and...also as I mentioned may find it a little difficult if I do not get Vahalla until late next month which is...possible. And I also feel a little bad because I genuinely like clearing out the camps and forts in the area to and I feel like I am doing the game a disservice...but I have no reason to. Well lets see how much time this actually cuts from my PT. In that spirit I actually got to Sparta to meet with mommy and well I went North through Sparta first before hitting the town so that was fun since I had to go back north with her. Also killed my horse for the first time...and it was funny because I was goofing around and began shooting arrows at Myrinnie's back...well this ended up being too close to the guards in Sparta so they all came after me and activated. Civilians joined in but I figured I'd go in a nice secluded spot and actually staff them. I did this and didn't end up killing anyone.

So there was an entire whole quest line cluster in Lakonia that I had no idea wich existed. Trying to track down the Trojan Horse quest and well it starts with another quest so no wonder I did not get it. But yeah Training Days was...actually kind of an interesting quest. Didn't just sound too appealing or I confused it with something else. It was also amusing though because the kid was going to tell Kass about why shields were so important to Spartans...but ten was cut off by a boar attac or something. But other than that te kid was kind of cute. The quest later with Theoreos one of those annoying little investigation quests but yeah I did that too which then unlocked an additional four quests.

So that was the most frustrating day I had with this game in awhile. So I went and was doing three of the four quests I mentioned in Lakonia. First one was going ok...just the second part of it well...I have found someone who is hornier then Diona! My dialogue options were either A. flirt with her or B. Flirt with her. Probably the worse aspect in the game of that sort of thing so alas I flirted with her. Then we both rode our horses and Kass started acting all horny too but alas since i am playing 99.9% celebate I was like 'no Kass no' so she backed away. Crisis averted. And then I spent probably about a half hour trying to clear a river of some corpses and well I thought the game glitched but no, don't think it did but it was really hard to see te corpse with all the clashes of color and it almost camoed the objective marker I think. But I got it after reloading but yea...now is not the time to be wasting time. Then of course there was the quest with the Trojan Horse which was very short and very chuckle worthy but it was a bit annoying that the Spartan guy lampashed so hard hiim 'falling' for it. And in spite of this all I still might do the fourth one of these things later tonight.

So my frustration with the Lakonia quest thing came to further frustration last night. I did decide to do the story quest and well...the kids were not nice. Apparnetly I told the story wrong (Is there a right way to read the story) Fun idea...but I took my revenge on the kids by beating them bloody with my staff. Its kind of weird experience. I think this is the closest thing I have gotten to 'speed running' a game and its a rather interesting experience. Again feel a bit bad about not playing the game as intended, its a bit unimmersive, but its also kind of amusing for that reason to. In this way I did 'On a High Horse' and the quest chain with Empikodies. And in both instances we alerted the guards but just ran right on by them. It was actually fun to because I didn't get a good start chasing the horse thief from the quest and going into slo mo when being detected as we raced out into the open I was able to essentially catch up with him and maintained a fair distance until I was able to stop. I am thinking when I do get Vahalla I might do my old switcheroo thing where I play one game and then flip back to Odyssey, at least until Odyseey is finished which I still think will be pretty soon honestly.
