Dammit, you're almost managing to lure me back to PS3 for some games. I even recently cleaned out the PS3s' spots, reconnected them to various TVs and LAN cables as I was re-doing all the cables in the area anyway. It's just sad that I can't run my mods there, would totally love to have run them with the old PS3-squad. Excuses, excuses! Funnily enough I thought of you the last time I committed suicide-by-possessed abomb melee. Insert your own Shia LaBeouf meme in your imagination at this point. Pretty sure they need Firmware updates, but I could very well be tempted there in the near future. You and Firerider could pretty much make it worth it, even without mods

Of course, when I come last on the scoreboard I can always blame being off-host, right?

High: Got in a few matches late last night. Found a group of players that were good, but not going full gas. It was enough that I could self-nerf and still have stuff to kill.
Low: A regular good player kept dropping in, armed to the teeth for Gold. I disengaged and admired the snoozefest that they had created. Perhaps they could find any Plat games, but I think they were deliberately roflstomping which is far too dull for me.

I occasionally use the Disciple on the Justicar too I'm actually starting to put points into Pull too I usually go no Pull, but it is nice to get an enemy off the ground every now and then. my QFE was using it with the headshot booster last night - the combination with Cryo Blast I really enjoy it on the KroGuard too...so much stagger with that one and the accuracy is nice enough to get easy headshots after a Charge or heavy melee. but I think they were deliberately roflstomping which is far too dull for me. I get what you mean, but a roflstomp every now and then is cathartic and good for the mind.

I guess it's been a while since there's been a debate about the best Justicar builds. No Pull on the Justicar was punishable by death in the Empire. I always put 4 ranks, as the extra diameter can often lift two mooks, and more often than not combine that with a Cryo ammo Acolyte, which is just off-the-charts in terms of entertainment value. Venom is most powerful build, Lancer might be second, but the Acolyte is the most fun - assuming you do spec into Pull, which you should.

No Pull on the Justicar was punishable by death in the Empire. Good thing I'm a rebel scum then. I usually roll with the Raider on her anyway Venom is most powerful build, Lancer might be second, but the Acolyte is the most fun - assuming you do spec into Pull, which you should. I'm only putting 3 in Pull and I usually forget it's there and, well, Venom is love, Venom is life so that's a given. Also, don't discount the Wraith or Talon (Power Mod, Heavy Barrel, APIV) as that will rip Plat and I'm definitely speccing out of Pull then I'm also a big fan of the Falcon on her for gold too. Warp or Phasic (if Geth preset) are my go to ammo choices. Stagger, stagger, stagger, stagger, etc

How does that Cryo-Acolyte-Pull build work? Floating, rotating ice sculptures. More for entertainment build that power (that said, no denying Acolyte+Pull+Reave combination being effective). I ALWAYS god Pull/Passive split on the Justicar, especially since I mostly play Gold, Pull+Reave is an excellent combo. As for weapon, usually Wraith/Talon/BPP (You'd be surprised how well BPP does on her).

We've got guys using weird kits, uncommon weapons, etc. It's not exactly fun when someone shows up with the Infiltrator+BW with level 4 consumables and just smokes through everything. If you're at the level, you need to self-nerf to play Gold. For example, if you're at muahmuah's level, it is impossible to self-nerf enough for Gold and he knows it.

If you're at the level, you need to self-nerf to play Gold. I totally agree with you and I self nerf as much as possible. That said, lately on Xbox it seems most pugs are running the OP kits more often on Gold or they're complete newbies that, while they help as much as possible, they're still fighting above their weight-class (whether they can't find bronze/silver idk), but I do enjoy all the 15 revive medals I've been getting lately It may be an indictment on the quantity of the player base as it is a 7 year old coop game. I'm just talking once in a blue moon I'll host a Gold with a Carrier GI and just go to town after a shitty Plat match or solo, there's just something to smoking an entire spawn within two mags on a Carrier. For example, if you're at muahmuah's level, it is impossible to self-nerf enough for Gold and he knows it. Lol I've played with him a few times on PC and that man needs a nerf on Plat

It's not exactly fun when someone shows up with the Infiltrator+BW with level 4 consumables and just smokes through everything. Aren't Phasic Ammo and SPCs better than any level 4 consumables for Gold snipers? I disagree with the very notion of "overpowered". It's ill-defined because it has an implicit assumption of some criteria, by which something is "over"powered, unspecified by default and if you want to specify them, it's gonna be something like "giving me fun" or "allowing me to have fun with something else", which is nearly as subjective as purely arbitrary. "Imbalanced", at the other hand, can be well defined and is consistent with the intuition. That being sorted out, I hardly ever play some of the imbalanced weapons (Reegar, Harrier...) because they don't meet my ergonomy requirements, or classes (geth...) for aesthetic reasons, and I reserve a stock of a few top level consumables of each type for Platinum (I play Gold by default because I feel more comfortable playing with strangers than with friends and if I am to solo Platinum objectives, I want it to be formally viable for the PHOF). But I don't lose the fun because of the power: as long as I miss one shot or spawn, there's a challenge to git gudder, same regardless of what and how I play, and the power spares me the annoyance of having to retreat. Not saying that hilarity, teh setting and complex gameplay aren't usually even more fun than pure power – my most played class is the N7 Shadow. But I don't see the fun in playing against enemies that soak your attacks like sponges for nothing extraordinary in return – in fact, this is one of the reasons I grew disappointed with MEAMP and went to check if ME3 is still alive. "Roflstomping" in a coop game is a slight misrecognition of the purpose at best and Harrier TGI is overrated.

"Roflstomping" in a coop game is a slight misrecognition of the purpose at best and Harrier TGI is overrated. Actually, pretty sure the person in question was using Phasic III, I was just using level 4 consumables to make my point. Perhaps I wasn't clear on what I mean by overpowered. I'm not referring to any one kit (although certainly there are weapons/kits that can use some balancing), I'm referring specifically to how a player chooses to play. I don't want to get into the "kill-stealing in a co-op game" argument, but it's more stylish to work with your teammates rather than it is to steamroll. That is unless, your team is trying to steamroll – then it's fine. There's also the fine balance to be struck. If the lobby looks a little weaker I may bump up my kit a bit just to provide some ease if I need to solo some waves. However, when I run into a lobby with people using Falcons, Eagle, etc. when it's clear they have better weapons, you know I'll break out my Eviscerator/Scimitar and follow suit. Variety is why I'm still playing this game after all.

Low: 37 minute trio on Hydra, due in part to me spending a ridiculous amount of time hurling Cluster 'nades and Venom shots at a map glitcher and blinding him with my Flamer. Private account too so I couldn't even send him a #L2PScrub message.
High: They say lightning never strikes twice in the same place, but something similar has happened during my last two games on Vancouver, both against Collectors. On the first occasion things were heading south very suddenly on W8 when the host quit. Luckily she came back within a couple of minutes and the full complement of missiles etc got us through with ease. Then in the second something similar happened, although it wasn't the host. A Vorcha quit, also on W8 and reincarnated within a couple of minutes as a Jugg. Result!
Higher: I still can't quite believe neither game ended in a hard freeze.

Low: Kinda rusty again... High: Back at helping to save the Galaxy! HIGH: For a start 2 FQEs with Claymores in a nice sunset on FB Ghost can never be wrong. (Low: Geth...)High: And to end the comeback Asari Adept and Justicar (6/6/6/6/0 btw; still survivable enough) with Raiders gave a good show. (Low: Condor/Collectors... Yepp, the game still knows how to troll...)New Day new games and High: Vindicator-Fury Duo time on Hydra vs Reapers fraggle curried I just clutched and we both made it into the shuttle after just 30min And to cool off for the night another High: 2 Cryo Solders with Locusts (sadly vs Geth) well played BPP-Slayer and a Paladin, who looked a bit like a new but good player and learned how to melee greet in about 2 waves. They are well on their way to an even better player Oh, and about the Geth?... Who cares about the scrap? Also LOW: Giggles is down to 8 Cryo Ammo III... Thanks for the games and fun.

I died once deliberately as I was locked up by Shield Boost, then a Turret got me as I was reviving another little ball of fun. Squad was me and another experienced guy and then a pair of truly game noobs. At one point the experienced guy hosting said something like, "I think Grunt's done this before." We had devices and a hack and an escort through turret-infested territory. They died a lot, but it was absolutely worth it, and as I said the game was never really in doubt. One of the noobs even had a BatGlove equipped. For Irune!

High: ChildOfThessia played yesterday few games with Cchris1602B and me. He truly lived up his name and played only Asari characters. I willingly picked Asari and lots of biotic booms were made.
High: Melee krogan duo with Cchris1602B. Krogan laughter never gets old.

No lows tonight. High: Playing for the first time in days, got into shaqfu's lobby and had two good matches on Giant and White (both hazard). Higher: Not much lag in the first game, so I switched to my Cabal for the White match. Still learning how to play her, but loving her mobility and that was a good game for her. Highest: Went to the store after the match and finally maxed my manifest with an Eagle X!
