Recent Game Highlights and/or Low Points

No, it didn't. On the positive side, I figured out how to disconnect/connect to the internet using keyboard shortcuts, so it is not as much hustle when I have to do it every damn time I start the game. 

Low: gave Cabal another try after... don't know how long, really. And I was reminded why I haven't played with her for so long. I just don't get her. I do fine with kits who have no dodge(fat turians, krogan, Destroyer) and I do great with fragile speedsters(no-fitness asari, drell, geth), but cabal... she's just... something else. She's all over the place, she goes through walls(not a mechanic I'm fond of personally), she has on-demand invulnerability that doesn't seem to work as advertised(though that may be PS3 trolling me)... seriously, I just can't get her. Was proud of myself to get 25 kills and even that was hard to do. Felt like I'm a bronze noob again. Thank gods we had a great Shadow and kroguard on team who carried us.

I think I'll file Cabal under "lost and never found again". If you ask me, the two fat turians are still the best hierarchy had to offer and they should stop there. Because everything that came after(Armier legion and Cabal) is but a pale shadow of the fatsos.

High: I was just called a " try hard " for using a GI with the Indra.

My lows lately have been the usual mix of lag and PUGs. Am I cursing at the screen? Yes. "Pressing" keys with my fist? Occasionally. But nothing worthy of remembering the specifics.

The highs can all be summed up as: Lash.

I deployed the Smashdept for the first time about a month ago, finished his 200 waves challenge, and immediately deployed the Smashguard, also for the first time.

Why did I wait so long? Lash is the best power ever. Maybe not the most efficient or effective at all times, but it's certainly the most fun. Especially with multiple lash kits all lashing the same hapless target.

Eh, she is the last character I have never finished 200 waves with for Commando mastery and I thought I'd rectify that. But I'm missing sixty waves and I doubt I have it in me to pull it off. Plus, it's been forever since I finished Poison Strike for Biotic mastery, that one should be easier to do.

Don't know, just not seeing the appeal of her personally. Even reload canceling is hard to do with her, since she doesn't have a regular charge like most vanguards and she has dodge, so yeah, kinda hard to do proper reload canceling on PS3.

I love the Cabal Vanguard for her uniqueness of gameplay! I'm usually playing her as a close-quarters DoT-Build similar to my Batarian Soldier. Ignoring Biotic Focus sounds crazy, I know, but I do it for the same reason I omit Concussive Shot on the Human and Turian Soldier: While you're in BF you can't Poison Strike and when you do PS you can't use BF.

Using the Wraith has the benefit of auto-reloading the gun when you do PS the moment you empty that clip. Exploding Blades on Nightshade Blades gives added crowd control which really helps when you don't have BF. Against groups of mooks you throw in one or two Nightshade Blades depending on the group size, shoot the Wraith, then auto-reload with PS. Against a boss you throw a Blade, shoot once, do PS, turn around, shoot again, auto-reload with the second PS. Throwing another Blade and shooting once bridges the PS cooldown - rince and repeat. Of course you must be careful when choosing your targets - attacking two Scions at once is tricky, for instance

Which brings me to OT:

High: Playing the Cabal more often because of Commando Mastery. I managed to not die once after I rage-gelled six times - perhaps I should do that more often, seems to help me being less suicidal reckless Got Trollectors/Dagger Hazard/Gold of course - nothing beats Collectors and a Hazard map when playing the Cabal

Low: Having a Reegar AIU in the group who doesn't do objectives, nukes excessively on extraction ('cause you must be at least 50k ahead of everyone else when playing that combo - of course...) and also nukes groups her other three team mates were already focussing on for quite some time before she showed up on the scene

As the voice of wisdom has spoken, totally worth the eye rape: you get 40% of your shields back (plus some invulnerability frames) and for 20sec you get 25%DR, a 10% increase in speed and a 15% increase in melee (which is kind of cool for a melee build) - sorry, what's not to like?

I personally love her dodge. And do not forget she's got Turian Veteran passives, which are better than Armiger Legion's: put a BPP or Hurricane on her, then watch her melt Brutes and Ravagers (even on plat)...

As I said before, she 's an acquired taste... 

As other have mentioned, she has Glorious Turian Passives, so if all else fails you could try her as a weapon platform. Saber? Crusader? Spam Biotic Focus to keep your shields up.

But hey, not every character suits every player. I don't play her much myself, I find the teleport dodge disconcerting.
