Tentacle Fever - blue waifu thread

Never felt comfortable romancing either Kaiden or Ashley due to Alliance regulations and protocol as I imagine them. That's usually meant that I've waited until 2 to get lovin', if I did at all. This time around though, I'm going for Liara. Always had a thing for insecure and awkward academic girls, and I've gained a deep appreciation for history these past few years that makes her doubly attractive and interesting to talk to.

And I really like playing on the differences between their mindsets. It's adorable to see Liara get flustered and ask for time to process and analyze things contrasted with Paragade Shepard's bursts of temper at being asked to flat-out state her attraction and fascination which she might just as well have ignored and suppressed if not, and then forced to wait for the longer-lived Asari to catch up.

It makes for this unique and tumultuous but very heartfelt dynamic that really feels like they're treading new ground getting used to each other.

And the more I think about it, the more I like the Asari idea of strengthening the species by having relations outside it. It gives them a peaceful and grounded way to share the wisdom and enlightenment of their culture, while also forcing themselves to be open to learning to appreciate things about people of species that they have very real reason to otherwise feel superior to.
