I think I liked the sylvan smut better.

I mean, plant-fucking porn exists, but it’s like 40% “being vored by a giant flower” and 60% “something with vines I guess”. And it’s all very centered around human pleasure, so even the aggressive plants come across as very accommodating.

Porn doesn’t have a lot of time to contemplate what the plant might find appealing, beyond planting seeds in the human (in a way that’s conveniently similar to human reproduction), using them for energy (in a way that’s conveniently similar to human sex), or something equally clinical. If we had a sylvan LI, I presume there’d be a bit more give and take.

And what could be more distracting than a tree, the mythic symbol of awakenings? Bearer of pomegranates, the six-seed chain binding us to Hades. Bearer of knowledge, knowledge so enticing we would have the angels throw us out of paradise. Bearer of the sparkling bounty in any fae court, the jeweled desserts that forever shut the door that leads back home.

To engage with a tree, particularly a demon-possessed one, is to irrevocably trade one life for another. Hoping the new one is better, fearing that it isn’t, but too overcome with desire to stop our lips from closing around its flesh. And oh, the fall is sweet, and the poison floods our mouth so we can think of nothing else. Tomorrow we will wake in a new world, an adult world, and all the simple answers will be gone. But today there is only this, the warm ripeness, the snap of release, the trembling overflow of juices, and we can tell ourselves that the bargain was fair.

If it doesn't surpass Witcher romance, or Vivienne as a romance option then I'm not interested.

Very OT but I don’t care: man, she is legit my favorite Disney villain. She’s a contract devil in the form of an octopus-witch and I appreciate every word of that description. There’s something so satisfying about a villain that describes exactly what will happen and lets the hero willingly fuck themselves over.

He’s a close second for sure! I do love Ursula’s directness though. She doesn’t have to resort to wordplay to disguise what’s happening, she lays it all out plainly and lets people miscalculate from there.

I would the option to be able to romance someone you grew up with like a childhood sweetheart or something, and someone who isn't a walking stereotype whose sole existence is to corner you into a topic to info dump on to you how uneducated and ignorant you are.

The walking stereotype thing is why I’d definitely like to see more ordinary Qunari as companions/LIs. The current spread of Qunari has been a bit like asking “what are Americans like?” and then only looking at marines and cops.

This would be a nice option, if the game let you you choose your backstory. But a good RPG should NEVER assign motives to the player, like "you automatically liked this person, regardless whether it makes sense for the PC you are trying to craft".
