But isn't it romantic and hot to get such intense pain when kissing the person you love? I prefer to be cause of the intense pain. So I guess you didn't romance Iron Bull?

For me in DAI, Bulls romance was pretty much perfect for me. His personal quest was relevant/interesting, the romance itself had a nice progression, he had muscles and made puns which is a huge plus . The only thing what annoyed me was his small head (I didn't intend to make this filthy pun... honest , there was no better expression!). He had the broad shoulders/neck and the big horns but then he had a marble for a head. It just looked out of place. Anyway if DA4 had someone similar to Iron Bull, I would be chuffed. However if I'm thinking about a new romance altogether, I'm not too fussed about the appearance as long as they have an Irish accent . Ideally, let's have something like a happy-go-lucky Robin Hood type Qunari with an Irish accent. Bioware give me an Irish LI please, it can be a companion but I would even take an NPC or anything really. Otherwise I'll have to settle with the lyrium idol .

I look forward to seeing our choices. If we could entertain a little wish fulfillment...I would love to have some romanceable dwarf options for everybody. And it would be nice to have a female qunari available for relationships in one of the next installments.
Oh, almost forgot! Bioware gamers need a strong female warrior for gay romancing!

If people get a Cass Equiv level KISA and she's a lesbian and then people also get the Gay Male Dwarf KISA <- which will you choose between, I find it unlikely they'll make two KISAs gay and zero KISAs for all the het people?

I mean, gay male dwarf KISA (Rock Knocker/Legion of the Dead) is literally my #1 wish for the series. Make him a ginger and I'm officially the happiest DA fan ever. But I typically run at least one female playthrough as well, so por que no los dos, right? My first (male) character can get with the gay dwarf KISA and my second (female) character can get with the Cass-like lady KISA (extra bonus points if she's a qunari or dwarf as well). And the my third playthrough will go for the other m/m LI. That's why I've got three canon states going right now (although two of them share the same DA2 outcome since that game is bootleg and I don't have it in me to play through as a female character - who, if it ever happens, would romance Isabela). But, like you said, I suspect we wouldn't get both of these in the same game. So I might have to wait until 2027 or 2028 to get them both. LOL.

So this proves they'll put 2-3 straight KISAs in but would they put 2-3 gay/bi KISAs in leaving mages and rogues for the straight folk?

Aveline wasn't romanceable, but she wasn't necessarily straight either. She gives both male and female Hawke a smooch if you flirt with her enough. I don't know why they wouldn't. Straight people have romanced rogues and mages in every game (Morrigan, Leliana, Zevran, Isabela, Merrill, Anders, Sebastian, Solas, Josie[sorta]), ultimately it just doesn't strike me as anything unusual for the two "wholesome warrior" types in a party to be gay or bi.

I don't think a KISA character is a die-hard need for any romanceables You make it sound like it is some kind of divine sin to take away such a possible romanceable.

You make it sound like it is some kind of divine sin to take away such a possible romanceable. I'm more curiously interacting with the idea then feeling anything so dramatic about it. I roll other genders to romance all options, so regardless of how they Sexually-prefarize them (aw, such a mangled lazy verb) I'll get what I want out of the content. So far I've been lucky in that when I roll my female whatever, I've always found someone I like among the bi and straight people available. MEA was the first time I ever didn't find a single person to lurve among all the options and that was a very strange experience for me. Closest was Avela who only offers a a male Ryder a kiss before saying her career is her focus right now. Everyone else was very much like... I think when MEA2 rolls round, I would be very okay with importing a single Ryder.

Dragon Age hasn't delivered a gay romance I really love yet. I appreciate all of them, but none of them are really like, YES I LOVE THIS AHH THIS IS MY JAM!!! Mass Effect was a total fail until Jaal came out of the closet, but I can't really count him because of it and ME:A was a complete bust anyway.
I like being obsessed with one specific character. I like being a nerd about a character, like a kpop fangirl/boy towards their bias. I'm hoping for a character like that for DA4, someone who will sweep me off my goddamn feet!

I would've loved to have Blackwall and Solas as my options in DA:I. I wouldn't ask for like anything from DA4 if I had them as my gay options. But they are not, and I respect that. DA:I wasn't too hype because Trespasser ruined Iron Bull for me, and Dorian is a sack of shit with an obnoxious storyline (still a good buddy though, my mage of choice). But, BUT, I still went through both of those romances like 10 times anyway lol. Maybe that's the reason I kinda started resenting them...

I don't think it's an unreasonable expectation. I know I felt that for the first time with Sera. My inner self was like, YES THANK YOU I LOVE HER, 10/10 WOULD (AND DID) ROMANCE AGAIN. Then I went back to DA2, rolled a female Hawke and fell in love with Isabela. And there are lots of LIs and romances I've liked even if they weren't strictly up my alley, know what I'm sayin'. I hope everyone has at least one romance in the franchise that makes them feel like that. Though ideally it'd be more like one or two per game! Just something that makes you happy to revisit the romance every playthrough and nerd out about it online.

Ah, Sera. I still remember back on OGBSN when she was revealed to be 100% lesbian, to a horrified chorus of "NO SHE'S THE ONLY PASSABLE ONE".
When the nights are bitterly cold, I cast my mind back, back to that day. And the lingering schadenfreude warms me to my bones, and brings me sweet dreams.

It's just that I'm a militant gay, and I'm just looking out for that one gay I will devote my nerdism to. I said before but if Sera was a gay dude, hell yeah I wouldn't even ask for gay dudes in DA4 (okay that's kind of a lie but still). Or if Blackwall was open for dudes, I'd be really content and would be going to DA4 with extremely open minds and without many expectations or needs. It's a bit stupid and vain I guess, locking myself out like this, out of content I'd enjoy but hey, it's my dirty stinking vain life and i'll make things hard for myself if I want to!!!!

No, I get it and tbh I don't think it's vain or stupid. I like Morrigan's romance but I'd sure like it better if I could romance her as a lady, alas, she's hetero so I rolled a dude for her. But there's that little bit of disconnect where it just doesn't feel the same as romancing Isabela or Sera, 'cause I'm playing this dude in their very heterosexual relationship. Lol. And even though I'm able to enjoy lots of other content for what it is - stepping into someone else's shoes and roleplaying - every time someone says there are ~toooo many~ gays or they couldn't take orders from a woman or w/e I'm just like OH YEAH?? I'm gonna make all these legendary heroes women. Or gay or bi. Or gay or bi women.

I'm not going to play as anything other than a gay man, so I don't consider other romances to be available at all. I only ever bought DAO in the first place BECAUSE it allowed me to play as my authentic self, in a way no game had previously.
If any straight person think that's frivolous or stupid, well that just goes to show that they don't have much empathy or imagination.

A young, beautiful tevinter mage who seeks to be a part of the upper echelon in the imperium.
She'll at first use the main protagonist to somehow gather dirt, backstory material and what not so that she can blackmail others into allowing her a position within that 'upper echelon' in the imperium.
But she'll gradually falls in love over the course of the game.
Of course she likes a silver-tongue. She likes blackmailing. She does not mind slavery all too much. She'd have an immediate dislike for any race NOT human, but convertable. She generally like manipulation.
She'd be a fairly good fit for a straight romance for men.

Very much like the sound of that I suppose one of her redeeming features could be that she is not totally stupid. So some of her dialogue options that could potentially grant a lot of approval Would basically be to choose options that smartly contradicts her whole belief-system. (Her fondness of manipulation and a silver-tongue) Dialogues that would grant a normal amount of approval would just be to agree with her. (Her being a tevinter mage) And directly opposing her viewpoints with mockery or just straight out disagreement would grant disapproval.(Her being a tevinter mage and having a fondness of manipulation and a silver-tongue)
