I prefer to believe that the loot expert, hired a while back, convinced them of his/her's loot drop mechanics. This frees Bio to think about game progression and story arcs and the battle mechanics for the char. types (ie: mage, archer, tank).

OK, so this would probably be a better fit for another thread, but I don't wanna necro it if it turns out to be unjustified.
So I was discussing the writing team with some people in another forum, and one of them told me that Joanna Berry was working on a secret unannounced project that could be DA4. Last I checked, she was still working at the Montreal studio that got merged into Motive, so I'd like to ask if she's still actually working with Bioware, or if she's still with the Montreal studio (or somewhere else).
Anticipated games: Mass Effect 5, Warframe 1999, XCOM 3, Exodus, Witcher 4 & Remake, Doom: The Dark Ages, Cyberpunk 2, Fable, Grime II, Perfect Dark, STALKER 2, Death Stranding 2, Avowed, Titan Quest 2, Control 2, Slay the Spire 2, Wolverine, Subnautica 2, The Alters, Metroid Prime 4, Soulframe, AC Shadows & Hexe, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Pokemon Legends Z-A, Atomfall, Project 007, Gears of War: E-Day, Clockwork Revolution, Blade, Humanoid Origin game
Little Bengel Her twitter biography says this: "I write games (worked on @bioware's SWTOR, DA:I, MEA; new project TBA) and short stories. Currently writing something longer. She / her. All opinions are mine."
Her linked in profile says she has been at Electronic Arts for nearly 2 years and is "Working on an unannounced project, developing storylines; writing characters, dialogue, and key scenes; creating and maintaining documentation; providing narrative design support for other departments."
I'm doubtful that she is working on Dragon Age. I think it's more likely that she is working on something new for EA directly since that is who she is working for right now. But who knows.

Without giving too much away that I'm not allowed to say out loud: She was on the Dragon Age team prior to 2018 and moved over to Motive after that. A specific event that may or may not have occured around this time might have, hypothetically, completely refactored all staff on the DA project.
Also, some comments about said project from before 2018 may or may not still be accurate. Game Dev is complicated.
I just wonder How Mary Kirby could still not be confirmed as a DA4 writer. She's so important to the franchise.
Her presence on Anthem is not enough to rescue Anthem.
It must be frustrating working on a sinking spaceship, when she could be using her extensive lore knowledge and her fantastic story and character writing abilities on Dragon Age.
