while this shift to streaming services is bound to happen, as someone who's been made redundant 3 times (still looking for new job atm) I see this& I think about the loss of jobs to come with it, game retailers will inevitably close their stores as they will have no product to sell, thus putting many out of a job.
The internet is a double-edged sword, as it makes our lives easier & more convenient, it takes from those that it can, in any which way, so yes, cloud-based gaming will be here, but how many jobs will it take?
That's my main take from this anyay
how many jobs will it create?
Whilst a company moving to cloudbased gaming will create some new jobs, potentially, the joblosses I was inferring towards are down the line, particularly on the retail store front side, because they will have no product to sell, so no revenue coming in, thus no money to pay their staff & fold, this is exactly what happened to me in my last job.
We're not going to stop cloudbasd/stream gaming, hell, it's been here for years, ever played a game on Facebook? On your Mobile? That's just game streaming.
Ignore me, I'm still just salty after losing a decent job due to the rise in internet habits & some of my own customers indifference as I told them why, one even getting her phone out & showing me what she wanted, cheaper on Amazon, buying it & telling me that's why I'm losing my job...
The last time I took a personality test I failed it.
*Me: Oh man cosplay looks fun! I could make a damn good attempt at repping some of my fave characters!
*My beer gut: Yeah keep dreaming buddy!
One day it will happen!
There are those in the cosplay community who will be cruel to people who "don't have the right physique" (or "don't have the right skin colour" ) for a given character, but there's also a pretty big faction that is trying to educate and inform those people that anyone can cosplay any character. The idea isn't to replicate a character exactly, but to have fun dressing up as a character you admire. There are a lot of cosplay positivity articles online if you care to learn more about it. If you're on twitter, there's also hashtags you can look up for lots of pictures of people who aren't physically like their characters but are immediately recognizable as those characters by their clothes, wigs, etc.
That one day could be sooner than you think!

BioWare @bioware Video games: best enjoyed with best friends. #VideoGameDay
That last screen isn't femshep. I call BS.
I love that Wicked Grace was included, though. And MEA's movie night, which I also found fun. We need more of that. Like more than one instance of it per game, pls. Though not making it DLC-dependent is a plus, so good job MEA and DAI for that.

Given the way the party bases work, I'd really love a small scene like that after every main quest completion. Nothing major requiring activity (like the MEA movie night finding snacks etc), just a cutscene with some dialogue options.
Skyhold had the tavern which was a perfect place - an opinion I'm sure will shock everyone - for this. In Your Heart Shall Burn already took care of this perfectly. After Adamant we could've gone back there, Solas - quiet and introspective, Sera with touches of trauma from being taken WAY outside her comfort zone, maybe Cassandra and Varric praying together (or something - Varric has been to the Fade before, maybe he's fine and helping others). That sort of thing. A wrap up of what everyone had just been through/experienced. A touch base moment with the whole team.
Maybe that's too much, but yeah - in general - more team gatherings per game would be good.
"Kneel before the Lord Dragon, or you will be knelt." 21 Feb 2019 at 6:59am - It has not been forgotten. It will not be forgiven. We've now met seven times... Revenge is ice cream - Serza, April 2020 Also known as Mike, David, Scott or Bruce

I do try and run around and talk to everyone after each main quests.

So do I - and their own individual 'break down' can be interesting. My point was just that, after big, potentially world-shaping events, it's not unreasonable for the group at the centre of the maelstrom to come together, have a quiet drink and talk about it. It's definitely not a major deal-breaker/maker for me. Just a 'nice to have'.

I agree with both on having more of that kind of scenes between main plots, even more so since they went open world. But in general, I like the party/main characters in your base to come togheter in certain events, even if small.

Your absolutely right! At its heart cosplay should be about having fun and anybody whose put the time, money and effort into making Cosplay, will always get maximum respect from me. Time for me to stop dreaming and start planning!

CourtENAY Taylor 💅🏻 @courtenaytaylor I am right here and also suck
Patrick Weekes @patrickweekes I MAKE them and I suck.
I have fun, though, and that’s what really matters.
Claudia Black @theclaudiablack This thread does nothing for my imposter syndrome and yet I’m here for it. This is hilarious.
"Morrigan" saying "Omg" is the most immersion breaking thing I have ever encountered online.

Emily (aka Domino) Taylor pentapod Last night’s BioWare/Improbable pub night was awesome and turned from BioProbable into a BioProbaBungie meetup with a couple extra visitors. 😊 Everyone’s looking forward so much to playing each others’ games and seeing #YEG #GameDev industry keep growing! 🤗
