Can you read? A straight person rejecting a bisexual/pansexual person just because their sexuality is homophobia. This will be my last comment about this but is nice to know this place hasnt changed one bit lmao I can read. I wasn't only be sure what exactly you meant by that. Thank you for clarification. Have a nice day. And sorry that i have brought up bad memories.
You asked an authentic worthwhile question seeking clarity, and you shouldn't be rebuked for it. You are fine. "Davrin's boobs" can tone it down a notch. A straight person being respectful and rejecting a gay person's romantic or sexual advances is not homophobic. As a gay man, I think a lot of gay people love to throw the word "homophobic" around because it gives them a type of leverage they wouldn't otherwise have and they enjoy the advantage it gives them when they fling it. That's abusing the word. In reality, the only time someone is homophobic is when they hold a harmful prejudice, deny basic human dignity such as refusing services or rights freely given to others, or harass, intimidate and/or assault someone else due to being gay. Straight people have innate preferences to court someone of the opposite gender, just like us gays do to court someone of the same gender. I would be appalled if the situation was reversed and I was called heterophobic for not wanting to court a woman whether she be straight, bi, or gay. So as for our "pan" companions who are also not "playersexual" (they kind of are), I'm glad- as that makes the most sense for playability and making people happy- at the expense of a little immersion. Dorian was amusing, but I would've gone for Cullen in a heart beat. I'm glad I won't be stuck with one character to chose from.

I know very little about LGBTQ+. But i try to be carful what i say and ask first before I assume something. I know very relaxed LGBTQ+ people like you, but I've also met some where no matter what I did was wrong. Just because I didn't know how they would like me to behave. I have no problem with LGBTQ+. But it's not okay, no matter what your sexuality is, to be mean to someone just because they don't know everything.

They also confirmed in the Q&A that the companions have unique specializations not available to Rook (so Taash very likely is indeed a dual wield warrior) but they do fall into the categories of warrior, rogue, mage so they will also have abilities available to all characters within those base classes. The example they gave was Neve, who is the only ice mage, but her and Bellara still have access to some of the same base mage abilities, as well, like Time Slow.

I think the Qunari now have horns and hair separate and you can mix and match them (this is how I interpret what Corinne said, take that with a grain of salt) Now that I slept, to give more clarity on what I said here. Corinne said she loves the Qunari, she's a massive fan of playing as one and loves the customization options of horns and hair in the CC. She said she understands how hard it was to find good hair for Qunari in the DAI CC but she is very happy with the DAV CC, so that's what makes me think they may have unlinked horns and hair for Qunari, so you can pick which one you want from both.

Swashbuckler, Tevinter Fugitive, even Tallis had her own spec.

Hanako Ikezawa Do you think innocent romance can mean a no sex option? Hmm, don’t recall where that term was used to describe the romances in this game so don’t know the definition they’re using.I suppose it’s possible, but with what else they’ve said I’m not holding out much hope. Liara, Tali, Merrill, Jaal all have romances you’d consider innocent but involve sex regardless of your choices for example.

I hear there are story reasons for this. I wonder if the Evanuris can do something horrible to mages who use blood magic. I wondered about it too, and I rush to point out that - while saying that he doesn't have that many problems with it - Solas tells us that he avoids blood magic. Solas comments about blood magic always puzzled me because he said it made his contact with the Fade more difficult and yet we had been told that blood magic or the shedding of blood generally through battle in an area thinned the Veil. Corypheus even used a massive blood sacrifice to access the Fade/Black City, so there has to be more to it than Solas let on. (Hardly surprising). I would imagine that letting Rook be a blood mage would have created too many problems because people would keep asking (as they did with DA2) don't people notice and why doesn't X have an objection to it? Even in Tevinter blood magic is officially outlawed, although most Altus families still do it behind closed doors. Thus, Neve and any Shadow Dragon would likely not approve, particularly how often slaves are used and abused with blood magic. The Venatori are big into blood magic. That seemed part of the motivation driving Lucanis to kill them, other than his generous fee. Meanwhile, if it does interfere with the Veil, that is likely a reason why Veil Jumpers would avoid it. We had no blood mages in the Inquisition and it is definitely outlawed in the south, so Harding would likely be prejudiced against it too. That's 4 out of 7 companions that would disapprove and if consistent with their character would not wish to work with you. Whilst the Wardens were less picky in the past, in the Last Flight the First Warden seemed to be researching instances of its use in the past. That was how Valya discovered the diary from Isseya that led to the griffon eggs. It was using blood magic on infected griffons to make them accept the Joining intended to "cure" them that caused the disease that wiped them out, so if Davrin is aware of this I imagine he would want nothing to do with blood magic either, certainly anywhere near his beloved Assan. There does seem some evidence that Sarabaas use a form of blood magic, actually drawing on their own blood for power and this could be why the Qunari are so wary of demons because the Sarabaas are more vulnerable to possession as a result. It is possible that Taash may be more relaxed about mages having lived among the Lords of Fortune but she may still be a bit wary of blood mages. That just leaves Emmrich. One of the Devs suggested the Necromancy was a form of blood magic, which was news to me. However, the Mortalitassi in Tevinter Nights didn't seem entirely averse to using blood magic, so perhaps it is more a case of whose blood you use. I suppose it is possible that their rituals do require some sort of blood element to bind the spirit to the corpse. It was originally devised by a Tevinter mage after all and I'm fairly convinced that the rituals were far older, probably dating back to the ancient Imperium and connected specifically to one of the Old Gods. I think we are going to discover that in the game and one of those gods we released is going to be particularly interested in the Grand Necropolis.

Liara, Tali, Merrill, Jaal all have romances you’d consider innocent but involve sex regardless of your choices for example. I think they may have the option for you to be able to head canon it that it is no sex like they did in DAI for some characters. It was possible to see it that way with Josephine and to be honest even with Dorian at a stretch because there was an option to ask him to slow it down, he acknowledges that what you are looking for is a proper relationship and then you never see them in bed together. However, Dorian definitely wasn't the innocent one there and clearly wanted more. So, it will be interesting to see how they handle the relationships this time round. I heard that each companion will be different in their approach to romance so some relationships will be steamy, some tender and intimate and may be possibly one or two can be kept more innocent according to the dialogue choices. The fact they have claimed they have put more into developing actual friendships this time round has me hopeful that I will not be obliged to flirt with someone straight off to maintain the romance option but can get to know them first and have it develop from there. People can be really devoted friends without having sex. So more Philia (devoted love that can develop into a sexual relationship but doesn't have to) and less Eros (its all about physical attraction from the start).

There is likely a marked difference between (violently) entering the Fade the way Corypheyus did it and what Solas does - especially that, at the time, he likely talks about blood magic in relation to his talent as a Dreamer: an ability to enter the Fade without lyrium OR blood magic. Clearly, blood magic does something undesirable - maybe prevents studying the Fade in-depth; or maybe it does something to its inhabitants? So perhaps blood - as a potent, but physical thing and blood magic basing itself on pain and such - may prevent people from exploring old regions of the Fade that still harbor ancient memories. Because... I mean, I think it's rather clear now that we'll be entering the Fade and finding some *very* ancient memories? 'Cuz I somehow doubt Solas will fall into some de-aging time vortex and re-grow his hair

I think we are going to discover that in the game and one of those gods we released is going to be particularly interested in the Grand Necropolis. That last bit is interesting about the Grand Necropolis given things and I suppose any one of the Evanuris might be interested in them for their own reasons. But just thinking about the idea of what will likely be the plot trajectory of the game. Heh. So the Veil seems to be the biggest winner take all for the entire game. I think we have the Veil Guard who will want to protect the Veil, Solas who wants to tear it down, then the Evanuris who will want to tear it down for their own reasons. Just going to be interesting to see not only their motivations but how each group will go about trying to bring about these aims. What if there is some sort of magical power in the Grand Necropolis that could aid them? Also its going to be interesting since the Qunari are still presumably out there. Wonder if they will want to keep it up but in such a way that will still put them into opposition with the Veil Guard?

'Cuz I somehow doubt Solas will fall into some de-aging time vortex and re-grow his hair Since spirits are usually mimics in the end and since blood magic usually involves negative emotions stemming from pain and what not its likely that Blood magic also has an inherent corruptive effect on the spirits of the fade. Just twisting them into rage, fear, even desire in a way. Which then maybe this is how such things like blood magic mind control even works some way through that connection as well.

So first off, I just noticed that if you try tagging me under "quizzybunny" I don't actually get tagged (probably because my original name was TheyCallMeBunny), so for everyone I have unwittingly ignored - sorry! It works though if you use the tag button in the toolbar.
Second, I think at some point we were supposed to have a female Crow on our team, but she was switched out for Lucanis (probably because they really wanted to include Bellara/Neve/Taash and that would make it too female dominant). I also think Emmerich at some point was supposed to be younger, but they probably felt he was a bit too close to Dorian then in terms of character.
Third, remember discussing Lucanis and what ability he had that gave him wings in that one pic? I don't think that's Lucanis, I think that's Rook - for one, Rook having wings make sense because of the name, and I also saw that one of the abilities mage Rook seems to have features a bird.

I don't think that's Lucanis, I think that's Rook - for one, Rook having wings make sense because of the name, and I also saw that one of the abilities mage Rook seems to have features a bird. Isn't Rook on the right side of the pic? It's more noticeable in motion. That's what I used to think, but seeing that mage ability icon with a rook has made me have doubts.
