Here's how Dark Horse Comics describes the new three-issue comic:

"Dragon Age: Blue Wraith starts off with the fanatical Qunari seeking to topple the Tevinter mageocracy. Caught in the middle, one powerful young mage’s desperate search for her father brings her face-to-face with a notorious mage hunter—Fenris, the Blue Wraith."

The exact creative team for Dragon Age: Blue Wraith includes writers Nunzio DeFilippis (Dragon Age: Knight Errant, New X-Men) and Christina Weir (Dragon Age: Deception, New X-Men), artist Fernando Heinz Furukawa (Dragon Age: Knight Errant, God Is Dead), and colorist Michael Atiyeh (The Orville: New Beginnings, Halo: Escalation), with covers done by Sachin Teng. In general, these names should be familiar to anyone that's been following along with the most recent set Dragon Age comics.

Dragon Age: Blue Wraith #1 is set to release on January 15, 2020 with the following two issues releasing after that.

As long as it isn't Dragon Age: Immortal, a la Diablo: Immortal, I'm cool with it. I'm not too sure about the writing team, though. As a (former) X-Men fan, I don't remember liking New X-Men, past the Grant Morrison run. But maybe that's just me. Maybe I'm a Claremont stuck up.

Did Francesca mention her father in the previous comic? I've forgotten the details. If he's mentioned in any capacity I can't think it'd be anyone else, they did make a point (I think) of noting that Francesca was pretty powerful.

The fact that they're making a point of situating Fenris in Tevinter while Important Things are happening sure is interesting.

Like other comics and books, it’s canon with the exception of what conflicts with your canon. In this case, if Fenris isn’t in a position to be in this comic then it is some random character.

Yeah, I've been thinking that they'll probably insert Marius if they want to use Fenris for DA4 but Fenris is dead in your world-state. He's basically a copy paste of Fenris without the tattoos since he's former slave and Tevinter mage hunter.

Bet this ties to the Red Lyrium In Knight Errant/Deception.

So excited to be writing Fenris!

I figure anyone holding out for DA4 in 2020 was dreaming anyway, so they might as well continue to dream that dream... 

My "gut" says Fall 2021...which is based on entirely nothing haha...other than maybe a sense of "momentum" as to how the narrative around the game seems to be ramping up into 2020 and games meant for 2020 seem to be already getting hype (Cyberpunk, Watchdogs, Last of Us 2, etc).  I'd also say they'd probably don't want to straddle console upgrades like they did with PS3/PS4 and XBox360/XBox One but it appears the next console generations are keeping backwards compatibility in their plans so maybe they need iteration with 4K DLC enhancements.
