I feel the chateau thing may have also been a place for the side quest where you went to the other areas to unlock the equipment set, but then they decided for something simpler.

Well, magical flight does exist in Thedas, it's just not very common. Corypheus flew in DA:I (Temple of Mythal), and could levitate huge chunks of earth into the air. Dorian confirmed there were flying cows over Minrathous, and in Last Flight they had floating wagons towed by griffons. So the gravity change in the chateau really isn't out of place. It's probably some secondary magic at work like in the Crossroads. I thought the flying cows thing was a joke? And perhaps meant cows that had been launched and only flew temporarily. lol
Also, are we sure the eluvians leading to the secret chateau weren't just leading into the Fade where it *looks* like a chateau? (Since an eluvian seems to be the only proper way in there other than clipping.) That could be a viable explanation for the gravity thing. There's no real rules of physics in the Fade.
Or the story could have been that the veil was thina nd the Fade is doing weird stuff to some Orlesian's house and "elven mirror" collection.
Dorian: Flying cows over Minrathous, hah! What madness! All right, so that one’s actually true. But the cows didn’t have wings. To me, the chateau feels like the other self-contained places across Thedas we travel through via the Eluvians. My guess is one probably altered by a mage in some crazy experiment. If we were in the Fade, I'd expect they would have made that clear. I think it may have gotten cut because they wanted to populate it with enemies to fight. And maybe they just couldn't get that to work properly with enemies on the walls and ceiling.

And like I said in my previous post, it might have been they couldn't get enemy encounters to work the way they wanted with enemies on the walls and ceiling.

USG @usgamernetHow One Rookie Speedrunner Slashed Dragon Age: Inquisition’s World Record to Pieces dlvr.it/RGTpw3 Aaryn Flynn aarynflynn For someone who's seen their fair share of Dragon Age: Inquisition gameplay, this ~30 minute speedrun is INSANE - Mark Darrah @biomarkdarrahStep one: get out of the Hinterlands! Patrick Weekes @patrickweekesLast thing I remember, I was running quite a lot. I had to find a passage back, like to Haven or the plot. Relax, said Scout Harding, we are programmed to receive... 🎶

I haven't looked at the speed run. I don't judge what people have fun in ( I know people repetitively beat Mario games to make quicker speedruns and that sounds even more boring to me.) But it ain't for me.

Oh man, my absolute favorite speedruns are the glitchy ones! I spend so much time fixing weird edge cases in my day job, I love watching someone use bugs to do something fun and silly. Because I’m not in videogames, these kinds of bugs will never show up on my ticket queue. I get to sit back and enjoy the guilty pleasure of picturing how the actual devs would respond. Like aw shit, what are these goofy repro steps, I have to run at a 20 degree angle until I clip through the side of the portal on the opposite side of the wall... and slingshot into the sun? Who found this???

These are glitches not fixed and not found if you're not looking for it.

Having also worked on the more boring side of tech support, I was often amazed at the creativity of random users who would find bugs for us. (None of whom had an answer to 'but if you were trying to get it to do Thing X, what were you even doing in the Thing Y menu in the first place? And why did you think hitting Button Z would help???')

I have found so many glitches in DAI just by playing the game One I just remembered: When you're using Hook & Tackle, or Isabela's Gangway in MP and the enemy dies before you reach them, it can happen, that you "fly" through the wall of the nearest building and end up out of bounds. I never used Hook & Tackle in SP, so no idea if it works there too

I swear 90% of externally-submitted bug reports have some repro step that’s essentially “I momentarily entered a fugue state.” Like, thanks for submitting the bug I guess, but how do I verify the fix if one of the steps is “randomly teleport to another dimension, then return to the application”? When bugs are submitted by internal users, at least they (usually) understand that we need some semi-concrete way to reproduce the bug in order to fix it.

Ran across this fun tip from Reddit... You can use the druffalo you escort in the Hinterlands to attack that high level rift on the way back to farm. It's indestructible in that fight, and you can let him do the heavy lifting for you. The one caveat being you have to make sure he gets hit first or he'll be ignored and won't fight. Standing next to it while a terror demon teleports from under you seems to do the trick.

I recall seeing that tip a while back (perhaps on this site), and I used the Druffalo at that rift on my last playthrough (which I just finished last week). If I had not seen that tip, I would have skipped that Druffalo fetch quest.

Relatedly, if you’re doing Trial of the Fool and don’t want to collect unnecessary XP, you can grab T2 leather by going to the bear campsite in the Hinterlands and following bears around in stealth (ideally using Shot From The Shadows, which grants permastealth and doesn’t require tagging an enemy like Skirmisher does). Eventually they’ll run into enough Carta rogues to kill them. You also get a bunch of sellable stuff from the many, many corpses a bear leaves in its wake. Plus you get to feel like a true hunter, quietly tracking a bear for miles. It was so much fun I ended up pulling similar shenanigans, post-achievement, with Great Bears in the Emerald Graves.

I ran around for a while before trying to find a hole to fall back down through because I hadn't saved for a while and didn't want to restart the entire dungeon. You can sort of see Blackwall and Solas spazzing down below, trying to find their way.

You can just take control of another party member, distant companions respawn near you after a certain distance out of player's view.

This exact same thing happened to me. I was very surprised, because in all of my playthroughs, I found DAI to be remarkable free of bugs on Xbox 1. I still think hook and tackle is one of the greatest things in the game, though.

Octafluoride @octafluorideFor those who haven't revisit Dragon Age Keep in awhile it seems that BW added some more choices you made in DAI. IMO the most interesting one has to be whether or not Varric and Bianca found the Red Lyrium source. Which makes me wonder how will it impact The world state in DA4.

While the update to DA tiles would be welcome (if unexpected at this time) all of the choices mentioned in the tweet were already there from the start. You can see them in this vid from 2015.
