Yo, what are the Staff damage types in Veilguard? Fire, Ice, Lightning and Spirit? Ice is actually called Cold and I think it is Necrotic instead of Spirit.

Yo, what are the Staff damage types in Veilguard? Fire, Ice, Lightning and Spirit? Ice is actually called Cold and I think it is Necrotic instead of Spirit. Sounds about right. It also impacts your damage Traits as well, such as the Heavy Staff attack that release a wide, elemental cone of magic damage.

Necrotic sounds like it could be either Spirit or Nature. For Rogue, it replace "poison". For Mage, it replace spirit (Spirit bomb). For Warrior, it's more spirit (especially Reaper), but some skills could work as poison too. So basically they merged spirit and nature.

They were actually heavily iterated on throughout development - I can't (at least currently) go into specifics as to why though. I can say (because the info is in various review videos) that the damage types are: - physical - fire - electricity - necrotic - cold
