So many games have been review bombed in the past, is now almost the sign the game have merit. Even Silent Hill 2 is being attacched by the grifters.

The review bombing will be the most discouraging. I'm expecting: - Savage review bombing.
- Any positive posts on social media to be met with arguments that it's 'woke garbage'
- The ending of the game to be shared on social media (with thumbnails) once the first physical disk leaks.
I don't expect the coming weeks will be pretty.
What will be interesting to see is how 'average gamers' react to the noise, how good the reviews are and whether they drop early and whether DAV picks up any GOTY nominations.
It probably doesn't matter if a game polarises if it also finds its audience, there are more than enough gamers to go around. BioWare marketing's job will be to find ways to cut through that noise.

I think on the 18th pre order for DATV soundtrack will be available. If we get access to song titles those usually spoil plot points and the overall structure of the game.

The review bombing will be the most discouraging. I'm expecting: On Metacritic, definitely. Dragon Age II also still has a negative user score. On Steam I think you have to own a copy, so that will be a bit different. Reviews are also labeled on whether the user refunded their copy after writing their review, so it's more transparent what they're doing. They also display scores for all reviews and recent reviews, so I think the latter will improve with time.

Bioware has been in trouble since Jade Empire bombed in sales. BioWare has been in trouble since Shattered Steel failed to adequately balance graphical fidelity with performance.

If you're having fun with the game, who gives a shit? I play Earth Defense Force games. Games that look like they came out of the early Xbox 360 era and have the jankiest mechanics you'd ever see. The games also have a REALLY fun combat loop.
Like I've told some of the people here when Andromeda released, whether or not the game had mixed reception, if you're enjoying it then have fun with it and stop worrying about what other people say. Only taking in what critics say is the quickest way to start disliking something you enjoy (or gaming in general).

On one hand I expect all of this, on the other - I see some movement on the opposite direction, and by that I mean the emerging criticism of constant toxicity in audience, review bombs and complaining about 'woke' - to the point that one of the biggest grifters lately has been like 'uh, maybe we should stop calling everything woke? It looks kinda silly". Like, at least the largest grifters start seeing the negative side of whipping a raging mob into a frenzy and descend on something like a zerg of bots. It may be that this will only make them double down - things like this happened before. But a larger audience noticing just how stupid and intentional their actions are also had a cooling effect in the long run.

I'm genuinely going to buy the game and play the game, reviews be blarfed. I'm fully expecting to like DA2 better than Veilguard, because thus far I like it better than Origins and DA:I and that's okay. I still like the other games as well, so even if I don't think that Veilguard is the best thing ever, I'm still going to like it at least as much as Origins.

I once existed for the briefest of times, as a games reviewer. I hated it. It was like being that friend you stop inviting anywhere because they just can't have a good time. Just moaning at everything the minute they step out the house. Going in to every game with a mindset of looking for criticism is so draining. Also, and I say this as lovingly as possible... Some of the reviewers I met along the way made me really question how much stake I should put into the reviews I read. Some of those guys lives were, ahem, messy.
For that reason it's been many many years since I paid any attention to the world of game reviews. Does Gamespot still give any game that's getting 8/9's from everywhere else a 6/7 review? It was like clockwork. Always felt like clickbait. I fully expect that anywhere that gives above a 7 is a paid corporate shill. Anywhere under 6 is THE TRUTH. People just see what they want to see.
And of course now woke is a thing, lots of that. Same noise, different name. Once it was Political Correctness Gone Mad. Then it was all Snowflakes. Now it's the Woke Brigade. Aka, if it's not a straight white man it's not representative of the entire world.
People who are always represented just have no understanding of how it feels when you never are, and what it means to you when you finally get that chance.
