It is definitely a sound we heard in DAI, and is part of an elk bugle, I think. They used elk bugles for the Ringwraiths' wyverns in LotR, as well. It seems to be a popular choice among foley artists for dragon sounds .

It's a franchise that I loved up to DA2. DA:I started downhill with the castration of the mage and the new combat for MP purposes. I fear that DA4 will continue the trend. Marketing is promoting everything but DA4. Can anyone say why Bio is not admitting that DA4 will be an aRPG? That's all they need to say.... "DA4 is a story driven RPG with deep characters". That's all we need. But, no.... total silence.... what are they giving away with revealing it's an RPG? ... 'cause maybe it isn't?

they have pretty much already said that. And they really haven't confirmed DA4 yet. Why say that game x will be genre y when game x is still being worked on. When they are ready to share they will.
As for why they may be more cagey, see the reaction to...well pretty much every game ever these days.

Yeah, when people were worried about ME and DA being like Anthem BioWare straight up said they wouldn’t but instead would still be the games everyone loves. They couldn’t be more explicit if they tried until we get to the point they can show it.

If it's true the game is slated for sometime in mid-to-late 2022, why would they promote merchandise or info for a game about 3 years from release? Not to mention all the stuff you are seeing right now is related DAO's 10th anniversary, DAI's 5th anniversary and December 4th, Dragon Age Day...that's a lot. I wouldn't be shocked if we got a tease at the game awards and a more in depth look at EA Play in June next year and 2 years ahead is about the right timing

Plot revelation of the game is not what I'm interested in. it's whether it's an aRPG or shooter. The fact it's 2-3 years away is also irrelevant. Bio ought to know by now what their goal is for the game. RPG, shooter or a hybrid. What are they waiting for?... until the very last moments and then it's crunch time?
If Bio says anything regarding DA4 at the GOTY awards, I's be surprised.
