They're still in pre-production, so what could they even show outside another vague teaser like last time? And while those teasers are kinda neat, it doesn't alter the fact THE GAME IS STILL 3 YEARS AWAY!   Who knows how much will change between pre-prod and the final game...

Any info they could hand out would only waken the fandom to pester the devs for even more info and endless "clarifications". And they would have to hope what info they did give out... didn't change by the final game. Even "basic" information like "Will there be multiple races for the PC?" changed late in production on DA:I.

I think last year's teaser was to counter the doom 'n gloom talk that was running pretty rampant at the time. Let people know they're still making RPGs. But as I've always said, the fandom is like a sleeping beast. Once you rouse it, it wants to be fed - constantly. And can get ornery if it's left to go hungry again. Best just let it sleep.   

And disclaimers like "pre-alpha", "subject to change" never quite work in reality. If you say it/show it, fans are going to hold you to it. Gaming sites have a field day with this.

Tweets are... I guess a love/hate thing? People will either find them amusing or just find the endless teasing annoying. But they don't give out details, at least nothing people could hold them to.

I wonder if they were inspired by Bethesda's E3 presentation... Hey, if they can tease ES6 this far out from launch, why can't we??   

I'm commissioning a scientific study into what percentage of Hanako's 14,402 posts are on the subject of whether/wanting the Inquisitor will/to return as PC in DA4

Then when it's confirmed that the Inquisitor won't return, how many posts will Hanako Ikezawa create saying Bioware is wrong and won't buy the game?

I wonder how much information they can give at this stage without avoiding the crestwood situation.

They could have a teaser trailer that shows the Inquisitor with a new prosthetic arm.

I really wish they would show concept art. I remember the print they released of DAI before we knew much about it with the special edition of WOT Vol.1. It has Varric in it. I was so freaked out and excited to see him back lol

I want concept art, a Dev Diary, and maybe some looks at 3D models of creatures, monsters and NPC’s. It can be all in one video, but it’s been a year and...the beast has been awoken and not greeted with any coffee.

Well one would think they'd know who the protagonist of the game is by this point. Lol crestwood was a matter of a set piece ending up different not “does the main character have the anchor?”
