Well, they knew eventually he'd be seen as a villain and they wanted to avoid the bisexual thing being associated with that. Apparently. (Though I think they over thought it. Should just be that Solas is straight b/c Solas is straight, imo.)
But I think Lebanese Dude wasn't even concerned about the bisexual bit? Just the villain bit. Getting the impression he's had arguments with people about how to classify Solas.
(...) this entire line of discussion has been pointless
^This.
So yeah, anyone able to identify the location from that Alix and the Anthem protag lady's pic? I looked at the street view of the Expo Tower (the new Bioware building) on Google and it doesn't look like its there(but who knows with construction?). However, does Bioware even do their voice work in-house? Or do they fly people to LA or something?
Basically Alix referencing the Inquisitor, while being jet lagged from travel and hanging out with a currently confirmed Bioware VA, is giving me hopes and I want to squash them as soon as possible, please. lol
Could we just ask her where that pic was taken, do you think? And by "we", I mean someone with a twitter account.
BioWare Edmonton is still in the Terrace Building - they haven't moved to the EPCOR Tower yet. And that photo is definitely not the Terrace Building. (I've been there, nothing about it looks like this.)

Mike Laidlaw @mike_Laidlaw Hey @bengelinas? Did we ever decide if the DA "age" system started at 0 or one? And does it end at 99 or 100? I honestly can't remember which way we landed on that.

0 - 99... It's not that hard... 😜
Maybe we're jumping 56 years forward to 10:0, the games couldn't be called Dragon Age anymore 😯

Ben Gelinas @bengelinas Dragon starts at 9:0, ends at 9:99 ( in theory )
I just woke up. Lemme confirm this first.
So my notes say ages start at X:0 end at X:99. Including @biomarykirby to confirm though because Mary historically loves confirming my timeline questions.
Mary Kirby @biomarykirby Well, this is definitely what I wanted to see first thing on a Monday morning.

Oh good, I didn’t lie to my audience in my Thedas Calendar video then.

Mike Laidlaw @mike_Laidlaw Someone needs to take the Dragon Age fan base quietly aside and remind them that neither Ben nor I are in any way associated with Dragon Age anymore.
Sorry to disappoint, but that's the truth. I was asking because a friend on my stream discord was looking for info for fan fic.
Mike Laidlaw: Not always delivering the news you want to hear, but at least it's avoiding false expectations.
Johnny_Blaze @countryboy24577 My question is what ARE you involved with? Cause after your work on Dragon Age I feel like I should check out any other projects you work on since you seem to really truly care about your work.
Mike Laidlaw @mike_Laidlaw I'm currently working with Ubisoft's Quebec City studio on an unannounced project. Really excited about it, but absolutely can't talk about it.
Previous to that I did some consulting with a number of teams including The Waylanders, which was a super cool period of my life.
Mark Darrah @biomarkdarrah That's why you are both so late to meetings
Patrick Weekes @patrickweekes Lets be honest. That’s AMONG the reasons.
Emily pentapod Among other mysteries at work, there’s a hall that goes nowhere. My game experience tells me there is either a trap or a hidden door here.🤔
Emily (aka Domino) Taylor pentapod Walked by this week and noticed an addition...
David Mergele @elegrem They had a lending library there. And a memorial sign for a Dev that passed. I don't know the full details.
Melissa Davidson deedlite Oh wow. Yeah that hasn't been there for the whole time I've been here (a year and 10 months).
Tim Smith @torlack There goes David giving away the BioWare Narnia secrets again.
Melissa Davidson deedlite But I love old BioWare stories! *sits cross-legged with a cup of cocoa in hopes of hearing more epic tales of old*
Tim Smith @torlack There isn't much to tell. It was during DAI and I think they were finalizing the feel of The Hinterlands. The doorway to Narnia started acting weird. We had always heard things could happen. The... But... I... The bears, the god damn bears.

BioWare @bioware #BioWareGiveaway Time to curl up in front of the fire with a good book and a steaming mug of your favorite reading beverage. RT between 3/12/19 and 3/18/19 for a chance to get special editions of "The Calling" and "The Stolen Throne" by David Gaider! Must be 18+ to participate.
Just for interest’s sake, I’ll note that the teaser for #TheDreadWolfRises has accumulated one million views. That’s more than any other trailer on the #DragonAge YouTube channel.
If a teaser for DA4 got 1M views, gotta wonder how much the official trailer (or anything meatier than that teaser) will have
Especially with some forewarning. They did kind of spring it on us last minute to the point a lot of people might have left the game awards stream or YT afterwards and might not know.
Of course I am probably responsible for like 20 of those views.

Only 20!? What kind of fan are you !? (jk jk)
Anyway, I think that was the idea. They sort of slid it in between unrelated games midway through the show and made it sort of... coded for hardcore fans? As in - if you don't know what's going on in the story there's almost no way you're going to know what the heck all of that was about. I remember stumbling upon Angry Joe's livestream from the event and when they showed the teaser he seemed confused and he was like 'Dread Wolf Who?'...
I think this is why Bioware got positively surprised with exhilarated response of so many people immediately realizing that a.) this is Dragon Age 4 teaser and b.) Solas is back

Melissa Davidson deedlite Our embedded QA just ran up to me and excitedly high fived me for making something that was (in his words), "The most fun he's had so far." This is what I live for. 🦄

Half of those views are probably mine.
I can't help it. That music is so good.
