That trailer still fills me with both excitement and nervousness. i think you are going to be nervous about the game for a good while now. Hopefully less than 3 months now.

Anyway, I think that was the idea. They sort of slid it in between unrelated games midway through the show and made it sort of... coded for hardcore fans? As in - if you don't know what's going on in the story there's almost no way you're going to know what the heck all of that was about. I remember stumbling upon Angry Joe's livestream from the event and when they showed the teaser he seemed confused and he was like 'Dread Wolf Who?'... Even my friend, who played all games and heard me rave about DA more that I should didn't realise it was DA teaser. Granted, she played all games in Polish, which might be why "Dread Wolf" meant nothing to her, but I was surprised she didn't recognise Solas' voice

What are we supposed to be looking at on that page? Its just a page of more links. Clarification, please.
According to teh Earnings Slides for Q3, Apex Legends is gonna be looked at alongside Anthem? Apex Legends, from what I understand, is becoming a runaway success. So, I think q4 earnings overall will be fine.

Nevermind that I'm simply used to playing all in English and am familiar with English terminology more than Polish ones - the translation itself could be better. I mean... Straszliwy Wilk? ...Not sure how I'd translate it, but what we have sounds like something from a children story

Like, if I was to translate 'Straszliwy Wilk' back into English, it would translate into "Dreadful Wolf" which... yea, I think it would also be something more from realm of stories for youngsters (I'm the Dreadful Wolf, arrrr!). I think I'd personally refrain from literal translation to more of an adaptive one that conveys the name/character better. Koszmarny Wilk (Nightmare Wolf) may not be a precise translation, but it sounds like something closer to what Dread Wolf/Solas actually is.

It was hard, especially after previous two games in English and spending a lot of time on BSN (I was soooo happy when it turned out to be easier in MEA). Now that I think about it, it's kinda hard to find right words in Polish for Dread Wolf to not make it sound like something from a children story. Doesn't change the fact it's baaaaaad.

I was lucky that at some point I've had issues with Origin that prevented me from opening DAI and nice people in EA help swapped my version to GOTY one which comes with all language versions. No more crude workarounds for me - and I do hope we're not going to get locked out of different language versions in the future And yea, it's not like translations are an easy thing. But I do think we could find better substitutes for how things were translated in DA. I mean.. 'Pustka' (Void) for the Fade? But there is a thing called Void in the Fade, so why is this translated like that (and if they could translate something like 'Fade' into an unrelated word, why such translation wasn't used in places where it was apt, like the aforementioned Dread Wolf?)

Melissa Davidson deedlite Our embedded QA just ran up to me and excitedly high fived me for making something that was (in his words), "The most fun he's had so far." This is what I live for. 🦄 So I guess I'll take this as a sign that DA4 is already playable in some form? As long as they take their sweet, sweet time refining it, I'm cool with it. Such news are good to hear after so many negative voices from the fandom, such as DA4 would never release, or not before 2022. I could bet they have been working secretly on something, or they wouldn't have shown the teaser in December. It could be a strategic mistake to show a teaser for a game that only appears in 3-4 years, as it increases expectations to a company which has been under constant criticism from both fans and media. This is different from the TES6 teaser which served imho mostly as a bait for ongoing releases of Elder Scrolls related games and merchandise. I suppose Bioware is currently only releasing information sparsely and only when they're sure it concerns something that won't get "rebooted" again, meaning it is already quite far in development. There have also been rumours of a voiceover going on after Gareth David-Lloyd tweets. Which would be too early probably, but would at least indicate some touchable work may have already been performed. Well, and I am probably the only one who doesn't mind Bioware releasing an unfinished product I love DA2 to pieces due to the companions and the story, and would prefer releases of smaller but more dynamic games. And I trust Bioware would get those game parts I love done right anyway.

As for the development, I really do hope that the 2021 rumor turns out to be true (preferably Winter 2021). Let them weed out the bugs as much as they need to before releasing the game. They're going to need that time.

Of course, it doesn't help that "Fade" is not being used in the normal sense here.

(Presumably because he's working on The Dread Wolf Rises!) I think he may have had some time off to regenerate after launching the game.
