I was so taken aback by it when I played DA:I for the first time. It made me uncomfortable the same way that I got uncomfortable when visiting friends families and they would just break into song at the dinner table before eating. It's not BAD, but it's a situation I didn't anticipate being in the first time it happened. I was very specifically playing a qunari that didn't believe in Andraste and didn't want to be religious about it, and when that happened I was so embarrassed for my character LOL -- but I did appreciate in subsequent playthroughs the range of RP experiences from devout Andrastian Inkys to a Dalish Lavellan Inky that was hanging out with Solas and going "wtf" lmao

I really do like the version of The Dawn Will Come that a bunch of people pulled together during, I think it was covid times? Beautiful.

I think Rook is an ok name if it is a codename in relation to the chess piece and all that, but I'm less excited if it is short for rookie. That's a bit cringy and also I would be so annoyed being called a rookie the whole game.

EA to be sure but of course naysayers will point out that EA could be there to just promo a sports title or two. Now I prefer to believe...it's happening!!

Mind you haven't exactly paid attention to sports games being at big events either.

Then I stand corrected.  Truth be told, I've not played Kingdom Come Deliverance, but I've heard good things and I might check out the next one if I can afford it.  The numbers are comparable, especially if you look at the total number of views across the different teasers for Dreadwolf that Bioware has released over the years.

yeah I'm starting to buy the logic more that they will be especially given the Geoff Keighley connection.

Even still not sure how much they can show given how crowded it is BUT maybe this will be the start of just a series of events that will constitute 'the reveal'?

Given all the negativity around here and the possibility their could be a change I'm gonna breathe such a sigh of relief if they say the word Rook in regards to our protagonist.

Eh, I've heard better, and I've heard worse. It's short and to the point. Regretfully, I have yet to learn how to play chess properly, so that symbolism currently eludes me. If Rook is indeed the protagonist of Dreadwolf's title, I won't complain.

But out of curiosity, for everyone who does dislike it, why? Just what about the name Rook in of itself irritates you so?

Anyway, to continue here, I also looked at Steam Wishlist, DA is 95th most wishlisted, KCD2 is 44th.

I think it's just been too long, literally a decade, and with Andromeda's reception, and how people seem to overall feel about BW... I don't know if there's many outside of this forum who are genuinely hardcore fans.
