I'm not. Will Google the solution like I always do. 😆
I like to try and do the puzzle on my own first. I enjoy the challenge but can only spend so long on it before it becomes frustrating. Sometimes I get the premise but the execution is lacking. Sometimes it is just pot luck and I solve it without knowing how I did it, so no wiser on the next run. Sometimes there is a lot of swearing and I resort to Google. That happened with the pretty tiles in the Temple of Mythal. The final one had me stumped and then the Google search said I could only complete it by cheating, climbing onto the wall and running along it. Well, it worked but boy was I pissed at that. If I'd known you could cheat I'd have solved it straight away.
Just so long as they don't put solving it on a timer. I mean there was an implied urgency to the Temple of Mythal but in reality you could take as long as you liked. Having an actual timer doesn't do anything for my blood pressure.
I always find these stories funny, because it's not like this wasn't the case in the previous game.
Dorian's butt, Sera, Cassandra breasts and a FULL FRONTAL of the inquisitor. Even though I'd much rather have seen my love interest's body- which we didn't at all! Got more of Blackwall's skin stripping gear off him in the menu.
I remember being sorely disappointed reading about how much time they spent intricately designing Iron Bull's uh, appendage (did we even get to see it?), but all Solas got was the Ken doll treatment, and we never even got to see anything of either him or Lavellan in any case. It actually feels a little unnatural because it's not like I spent my entire life fully clothed.
I mean its an game for adults so why not have some nude scenes? But to be fair its just female Breasts and some arses like in DAI so no big deal. As an european i am way more ok with nudity even full nudity rather than gore stuff like beheading a enemy. Yeah that is still crazy for me that a simple penis so much worse than a gore splatter fest.
As a Finn we are always nude and live in our Saunas...
As another Finn, I say hogwash. My polar bear lives in the sauna so it's out of use.

I made an igloo for the bear so now can be in sauna all the time, nekkid.
[ LegendCNCD / AsariLoverFI ] Waiting for DA4 & ME5 - Look's like sometime in 2186, everything went to hell. We got out just ahead of it! MEA & ME1 (>>>> 3 > 2) -- DAI > DAO > DA2 -- 3500h+ & maxed out all 02/2020 in MEAMP, APEX 137001+, DAIMP (576/761/201), ANTHEM, SW BF II - Drinking tears of MP lamers since DooM & Quake in 90's softknees.bandcamp.com/
that's not always as easy as it sounds. It can be clunky to look them up, they aren't actually there, sometimes they don't even make sense and you are like 'wait how'd they do that', and since we're going to be Veilguard pioneers its likely that no one will even have them yet. At least for a bit.
Plenty of reviewer sites get early game copies. And they have video and text walkthroughs available as soon as the game releases.
I’d argue against your notion of us “knowing the truth” of being a false Herald. I like how the game argues that you still can be, it’s just the Maker working indirectly.
In an abstract way that is true. I even had my devout Inquisitor defy Cory at the end with the words "I'm the Maker's chosen". Or something to that effect. What I was referring to was the fact that originally people thought the woman behind us in the Fade as we exited at the beginning was Andraste; hence us being the Herald of her return, as in the prophesy of Drakon. Now whether that spirit was Justinia herself or simply a spirit adopting her persona, it definitely wasn't Andraste. As for being her Herald, well I think that idea probably went by the wayside when we lost our arm and the anchor, considering that was linked to the whole Herald thing too, plus would they have dared to challenge our right to continue the Inquisition if we were really working on behalf of her and the Maker? Meanwhile, Flemeth suggested we were a herald of a different sort, the Herald of a new age. There was a lot more to that statement than was apparent at the time, considering who she was and what she knew. Unless Solas is the Maker I doubt we were working for the latter but naturally if that is what someone wants to believe, fair enough.
Drakon's prophecies is him thinking people he saw in his dreams (or multiple people's visions since Drakon rewrote it multiple time before it was published) were Andraste and the Maker. Since he never saw either in person (Andraste was long dead by then), he can't actually identify either. It's the same thing in DAI, people think they saw Andraste, because they wanted her to be Andraste.
The only thing we should take from Exaltations (that haven't happened yet) is the part with Minrathous...and really the whole thing could just be Solas's two buddies coming there and finishing removing the veil and asking everyone to bow to them. Exaltations does mention dark/darkness taking over a few times...

Malcolm @themalcolmtent.bsky.social This week marks three years at BioWare for me, which may not sound like much but it's the first time I've stuck at a studio that long in my (slightly tumultuous) 16 years making video games and it means a lot that it's happened at a studio I've wanted to be a part of since day 1.
I was a BW fan long before I joined, back to the KOTOR/NWN/Jade Empire days. When I got hired, part of me was worried I'd be losing something in not getting the magic of being a player and experiencing the games fresh. But seeing the incredible fan response to DAVe has been revelatory
I think we've made something really, really special - something that I know I would love as a fan - and I cannot wait for y'all to get your goblin paws on it. (also Taash and Emmrich are the best, 100% objective fact)
Brian J. Audette @bjaudette.bsky.social In my experience, what you lose in being surprised by major game events, you gain in knowing exactly who you want to romance from the start and how.
Malcolm @themalcolmtent.bsky.social There is that Plus I know exactly who to yell at about that one bullshit puzzle (it's me)
Mel So, when we get there, we know it was you.
Malcolm @themalcolmtent.bsky.social Just be careful of the lava, okay?
Lava? Sounds like things are going t oget rather steamy.

colfoley Someone will absolutely burn through the game at lightning speed recording all the while way before I get there. I don't love watching the videos and squinting, but they'll be there.
Yea hther's alway ssomething like a IGN walkthrough page. Als oi tdepensd on how trickythe puzzle is. A ssome ae rstraightforward and you can see the answer others not s omuchI nev erhad an yissues with Zero Dawn's puzzles fo rexample or th eunlock door stuff in the ME trilogy. Th eSoduku puzzles in MEA ewre hard though bu tthankfully if you have thos decryption keys the ybecome less of an issue. Forbidden West's puzzles ca nb equiet hard though. Th ehardest puzzle in DA is the bridg epuzzle in th eTeple of Sacred Ashes. The rest wasn't too bad though
but all Solas got was the Ken doll treatment, and we never even got to see anything of either him or Lavellan in any case
What we did in the Fade, stays in the Fade. Censored notice by Solas. This general prohibition was issued to all spirits on pain of having a visitation by Fen'Harel. Come to think of it, Cole was a lot less gabby about their relationship wasn't he? It was Sera who made the most impertinent suggestions.

So how likely do you folks think there will be a New Game +? Previously, BioWare added the Golden Nug along with Inquisition's, Trespasser update. It let us carry over schematics between characters. With this game, I'm wondering if they'll just go the extra step.

I don't see DAVe being designed to have NG+, the way the devs have talked about it.

I never really took Exaltations seriously but I know other people do and it is possible to tie various statements to things that have occurred in previous games or may be yet to come. Considering the Devs said they never definitively wanted to prove the Maker one way or the other, having Drakon make an accurate prophesy about future events 900 years before they occurred would suggest he was divinely inspired and thus the Maker does exist (Or Solas was letting his thoughts leak out of the Fade to influence him). Personally, I think it was all hogwash and just a convenient way for Drakon to legitimise his actions by suggesting he was the Maker's chosen to continue Andraste's work. He even had the cheek to take the title "Blade of the Faith", which to all intents and purposes belonged to Shartan, since Andraste named him her Champion of Freedom when she gave him her own sword. It is noticeable that Drakon seemed more concerned about "simplifying" the faith by destroying all alternatives to his "vision" in the south than the freedom of others from tyranny. I still think the Dalish were right and he was no better than Tevinter in the way he behaved, but then he was the grandson of a Tevinter Altus and most of his ideas about having a State religion came from Tevinter. Hessarian, of course, was another person who converted when it was politically expedient to do so and likely it was the faith in Tevinter at that time which influenced Drakon in the way he established his Chantry. To be fair to him, though, at least he didn't dare attack the Dales. That was his son.

But can things like Golden Nug be even considered NG+?
I know games that can carry though some decisions or items in different playthrough based on e.g. gaining an achievement. Maybe we'll get something like that.

That Drakon interpreted his dream/visions (if they were even his) via his religion doesn't mean he was divinely inspired.
Beside codex mentioning various people having visions, we had a character we could talk to in all 3 games who had vision(s):
- A statue in the Mage Origin in DAO and Witch Hunt (and she's older then Andraste's crusade),
- Sandal in DA2,
- the real Lord Seeker Lucius in Cassandra's personal quest.
And two ancient cults have Augurs as priests.
I'll give you the "cosplaying as Shartan" dream bits to legitimize himself thought.

I personally don't. It just allow you to not have to grind for schematics and Skyhold cosmetics.

I can understand that. Then again, I also would have never thought Bethesda would add NG+ to their games, then came Starfield.

I could see it happen.
Even at max Level 50 there would still be plenty of the PC's ability trees left unexplored. They could tack on another, say, 20 levels or something for NG+, add another tier for your gear, and another difficulty level. Maybe even allow you to unlock a 2nd Specialization. They could even go wild and allow you to unlock a 2nd Class.

🖤Holly💀 @hollyconrad.bsky.social I’m so excited 😭 I’ve been a BioWare fan for a long time (since bg1) and was even a cosplayer for BioWare back in the day, I’m here for all the joy this new game is going to bring 🖤 (and spooky skeletons)
Trick Weekes @trickweekes.bsky.social And also Taash, right, Holly?
AND ALSO MY SWEET DRAGON-HUNTING ANGEL IN ADDITION TO THE NECROMANCER AND HIS SKELETON, RIGHT, HOLLY?
Amber @cosmospetals.bsky.social Forgive me but I have to...
...which, in the Trisky Translator, means she's the opposite of Angel Cookies, Hoss. 🤨 We've been onto you since you inferred Solas was just a mild-mannered nothing-to-see here fellow. 😅
Trick Weekes @trickweekes.bsky.social I have not been surreptitiously liking posts and saving fan pieces since Taash was an unnamed bit of concept art in 2020 just to listen to this slander now.
Amber @cosmospetals.bsky.social <sigh> That's supposed to be 'Tricksy'... fumble fingers here.
Trick Weekes @trickweekes.bsky.social I will know I'm in real trouble when you call me by my full name, Triskelion Irrethelathlialann Weekes.
Trick Weekes @trickweekes.bsky.social And exaggerated favoritism aside, I think we have a great range in our list of companions, and some of the best character arcs I've seen.
We pushed our characters in a lot of different directions. Nobody will be everyone's favorite, but everyone will be someone's favorite.
Malcolm @themalcolmtent.bsky.social And the people who say Taash are slightly more correct than everyone else
Cordelibird @cordelibird.bsky.social @trickweekes.bsky.social Hi, silly hypothetical DA franchise ❓
Are player specs like shapeshifter, bard, blood mage unlikely to return to the series? I know they're not in DAV, but I also know they're prob too resource intensive anyway? Zither the mage bard in DAI was cool! And I HC bard Hawke. Ty
Trick Weekes @trickweekes.bsky.social Never say never. Blood magic is unlikely because we've shifted it from a power boost to really being the key to a lot of nasty stuff we aren't interested in having heroes do. The other stuff just needs the right game.
Dillon (6 Sided Games) @6sidedgames.bsky.social This is interesting because that means that a Blood Mage Warden and/or Hawke are really really subdued blood mages. And that Solas was both right and wrong on it being "not inherently evil" and "just a tool."
Trick Weekes @trickweekes.bsky.social I think it can be ethically neutral if you only use your own blood, but after seeing it used as a required part of mind control and demon binding in DA2 and DAI, it's just not a road we want the hero to walk right now.
Dillon (6 Sided Games) @6sidedgames.bsky.social Wait, you're telling me that Corypheus was the BAD GUY because he used hundreds of slaves to get to the Golden City?
I'm *SO* upset right now. /Sarcasm to the point of being a singularity
Yeah, I wouldn't want a "hero," even a nominal one, that would do stuff like that.
Trick Weekes @trickweekes.bsky.social Which is a shame, because "use your health to cast more spells" is a fun gameplay twist for folks who like that kind of risk/reward playstyle. We might find other ways to get that. Just not blood magic for the hero for now.
Bree (half of Kit Rocha) @mostlybree.kitrocha.com ok but Trick on a scale from 0 to ironically, spiders.... how bad are the spiders in this game????
Trick Weekes @trickweekes.bsky.social Spiders you should be more okay on than in DAI. Like we don't literally have a big main-game mission dedicated to "What if a magical big bad was a giant honkin' spider and all its minions were ALSO spiders?"
