Q: Congrats. The time a dragon age released, it won the first game awards. 10 years later are you going for another? Mark Darrah: Looking at the year... I think it has a shot. The way the question is phrased... does that person think that Darrah still works at BioWare?

Istanbul would beg to differ. Really hate the traffic there.

London, New York, Istanbul, all cities off the top of my head that changed their name. The eastern bloc had massive changes as well.
Q in Latin is only used when followed by U, I think. But I more meant that they decided to change name, and when they did, have it fall more in line with their current naming conventions for Tevinter. Which is Latin loan words more often than not. But who knows, maybe they’re just Kingdom Hearts fans or something. I still don’t think it’s a big deal in grand scheme of things.

Looks like there's no spiders in the Veilguard. Edit: I've changed the link. Hope it helps. If it still doesn't work, the image is basically EA community manager saying there's no arachnophobe toggle because there's no spiders. i.imgur.com/3OjDadU.png

Links not working, but a relief if true, playing da2 again has reminded me how much more uncomfortable it is dealing with Giant Spiders when you have to be in 3rd person camera instead of detached tac cam - and i wouldn't be able to switch to a different/ranged character to avoid the close up in veilguard's system.

I've copied all the accessibility options for those who can't read the article: GameplayCombatAim Assist Aim Snap Visual / UIRanged & Melee Threat Indicators Uh. Can we talk about this? (I tried to avoid any gameplay captures as well as possible, so this might be obvious to everyone else) Aim Assist / Aim Snap How important is aiming? In previous games, it wasn't really possible to miss with ranged attacks, as they were essentially spells & linked to there being a viable target to begin with. If aiming can be "assisted", i.e. improved, does this imply hit zones? If that is the case, do these apply to melee combat as well ? I might be overinterpreting, but specifically snap aim in third person action games is almost its own genre; since you're playing and moving completely differently. Just look at Red Dead Remption or GTA versus full-on shooters (with 3rd person camera) were aiming precisely is critical. Hit zones in melee combat would be pretty substantial.
Threat indicatorsAre these reaction prompts (i.e. for parrying etc) or aggro meters or just general indicators for the direction of incoming (off screen) damage ? PS I just realized I've apparently reached the age to get excited by text size sliders.

Also oh no, no more spiders… anyway… (More important question, what does the bear population look like up north?)

I hope link's working again. DA2's mansion sized spider gave me a huge scare. On the consequent playthroughs, I had to close my eyes until the damn thing died. But then I remembered it stayed there after being killed, so I had to move Hawke while keeping my one eye opened just a little.

You're telling me that spider with human hands they showed years ago in the Dreadwolf video is not in the game? That's sad.

City names have been changed before, especially in areas with a lot of conflict, not sure it’s that big a deal personally. I also assumed it was to go with a Latin name instead. For accessibility, somewhat worried I see no option to turn off bloom. But motion blur is for sure going off as soon as possible. Also ghil dirthalen posted pictures with persistent dot enabled. what is that even supposed to be? You get a white dot in the middle of the screen. I get motion sickness in car, I have to look at the road or I feel sick. I think it has to do with your internal ear getting one message and your eyes sending another. So I suppose looking at the dot is supposed to help? As an aside , I just realised yesterday you get a white line of sort above the head of your character when you can parry/block a blow, and a red line when you have to dodge. Really didn't see it for weeks, figure that out when a reviewers explained that one.

For me in a car, I feel like throwing up. I don't have that problem with games.

You're telling me that spider with human hands they showed years ago in the Dreadwolf video is not in the game? That's sad. Huh....well how about that. I didn't really think about that. what is that even supposed to be? You get a white dot in the middle of the screen. I get motion sickness in car, I have to look at the road or I feel sick. I think it has to do with your internal ear getting one message and your eyes sending another. So I suppose looking at the dot is supposed to help? Really didn't see it for weeks, figure that out when a reviewers explained that one. That's interesting. I think sometimes I even get motion sickness but can't remember it happening in a game for a really long time. And about the whole threat indicator thing, I noticed it.
