Elfroot Mama ✨💍💜 bluemilkmama No Vyrantium Dragon Age packs at my Walmart, but you can order this bundle. #DragonAge #Veilguard Want to clarify this is in Canadian dollars. Maker's balls. Why is the slim that price?! The price you pay for being Canadian.

that's not an entirely unreasonable perspective. The suggestion is that there will be a lot of payoff from the set-up made across the past games^^ I also assume it will re-contextualize some things and make others make more sense, same way playing DAI after Solas reveal did. And for every question they answer, they'll raise two more...

that's not an entirely unreasonable perspective. Also, not entirely a bad thing either to have a refresher course, so to speak, even for longtime fans. Yea, I think we have to remember that we're the outliers even among the Dragon Age fandom - most didn't discuss lore and stuff over the course of last 10 years, MOST people, whether clued into DA worldbuilding or not, will need a refresher. Never mind reiterating information strewn across 3 titles that take hundreds of hours to play through.

And Canada writes proper English with correct spelling (mostly) like the Brits.
And an actual point. Interesting nugget from Shinobi on Resetera (the link may or may not work for you). SOURCEI'd read that Inquisition tac cam was used significantly by c.15% of players. Shinobi says it's even less, down into single figures. And that Origins tac cam was also very low. So whilst I can respect noisy complaints, tac cam is really not how the games were played, they were very much predominantly played as action games, all 3 titles.

The price you pay for being Canadian. Oh, sorry. I didn't know, but I thought Canada uses the dollar? $1 US ~= $0.72 CAN ... The US is the little brother country to the larger country of Canada, but has a different currency (different dollar). ... not to be confused with the AUS dollar ...

x.com/Jorraptor/status/1848792698125168740See new posts Conversation JorRaptor @jorraptor We Played Dragon Age The Veilguard and have tons of details to share! - Dragon Age The Veilguard has both very linear levels with carefully crafted combat encounters and larger locations to freely explore - Explore these larger locations to find new gear, crafting materials and optional enemies & bosses - Side quests are pretty much designed to get you to previously unexplored area’s - Every companion has a fully fleshed out quest line - Except for Harding, each companion belongs to one of the major factions in Veilguard - Your faction choice gives access to unique dialog options - The faction you chose at the start also comes with 3 unique bonuses (like extra health and defense or increased damage vs Darkspawn, the enemies in the game) - Rook, our main character, will be confronted with the consequences of big decisions made in the game - Choices can also impact & alter the locations you’ll visit - It’s easier to track decisions made in the game as you’ll now see the results of your choices in addition to who approves or disapproves - The character creator is very easy to use, with tons of options to choose from - Every companion has a unique ability to use in the world (Bellara can interact with ancient Elven machinery, while Lucanis can pull terrain from the dream dimension called The Fade) - Backtracking seems totally worth it as different companions can open up previously unexplored paths - The game takes place 10 years after DA: Inquisition (although new players can jump in pretty easily too) - There’s a special region called The Crossroads, a mysterious part of the Fade-realm - The Fade isn’t accessible to normal people, but you & your party can explore the Crossroads and unlock new parts of that realm by defeating Blight Champions (mini bosses) - The Crossroads also seems like a very interesting area for lore hunters as there’s a lot to find that’s related to both Solas/Fen’Harel - Each of the 3 classes feel really good to play, with different play styles for each class (like the Warrior’s sword/shield combo or the two-handed weapon) - The mage has 2 weapon options as well, with a staff or the orb/dagger combo (use the orb to set a primer from a destance & detonate it with the dagger from closeby) - The rogue doesn’t swap out his daggers at any point, but he seemingly has the most powerful ranged attack with his bow - Taking down enemies quickly will require you to use your full moveset (enemies with an armor-bar will need to be hit with heavy attacks to deal with the armor quickly, for example) - The skill tree is huge, with tons of options to add new passive effects, abilities, and combos - Dragon Age The Veilguards makes you think about how you want to build out your character as many nodes in the skill tree unlock new moves to use in combat or buffs that trigger when you perform a specific action - Rook can only equip 3 active abilities found in the skill tree, which adds to the fact that you’ll need to craft a build (and you can always respec later) - Each of the 7 companions has their own skill tree (not as expansive as Rooks), allowing you to pick how they handle battles - You can set up skill combos combining abilities with your companions using the ability wheel - Some companions have access to healing spells - Some outfits only unlock depending on your choices during a companion-specific quest line

Yeah, I've heard the numbers were pretty low before. Personally, I used Tac Cam a lot, in any encounter that wasn't a cakewalk. I liked that we could be surgical in our use of AoEs and combos. I've watched a number of DA:V videos where the player missed or was just inefficient with AoE attacks. Even in one of BWs, they missed a boss with their nuke attack, trying to hit as many enemies as possible. And this when they had the game paused.

It wasn't always easy setting up the AOE effects in the various pause menus either, you still had to lead the target well enough usually and had a lot more luck letting the companions just set it up on their own especially Dorian and the Static Cage.

I only used the tac cam in DAI for boss fights or more difficult battles. I recall using the tac cam more extensively in DAO to pre-position party members a ways from the enemy, while my rogue would stealthily attack the enemy with a bow, then kite the enemy back to my party for an ambush.

^ It’s not that I don’t use tac cam, but I prefer to set up tactics for my companions and let them do their thing and focus on my character. And I like fluid, dynamic real-time action, so, I welcome the new combat system, for the most part.
Not a fan of the hack n’ slash w/ overkill visual effects, especially for warriors and rogues, looks a little cheap and mobile game-ish, even with customizable AI, it’s still a problem. But whatever, I’ve talked enough about this and it’s not going to change anything.
