Yea, even with my algorithm on Twitter mostly set up to pick up noise about Veilguard, mostly I see people being like 'why was DLC for 2022 game nominated for GOTY???"

I got called the N word and the F word on the Veilguard subreddit last night for liking the game. Those kinds of fans on Reddit aren't people to be talking to. 

And you think thats a good sign? That shows most people don't even give a shit about this game. Imagine if back in 2010 if Mass Effect 2 got zero nominations..I doubt people would just ignore that. People would be pissed. Where are all the Veilguard fans?

And its not just about this award, I doubt it will get any major awards which is a bad thing no matter how you try to justify it

Because they know its a lost cause. They paid off the major gaming sites before release to generate hype to sell copies. Now that people actually played it and the overall reception has been awful there is no point to buy off a GOTY nomination. The backlash would be horrible. Ask yourself why didn't IGN post the critical review first, instead they posted one where the reviewer couldn't stop jerking off to the game.

Because the game sucks. The DA sub loves DA2 and Inquisition despite their flaws but even they couldn't defend this. 99% of the posts there are bashing the game. 

You can say they don't represent most fans (even though its the largest fan community for the game on the internet) but then were are all the numerous Veilguard fans? Even on this forum tons of people are hating on it. On youtube or twitter its even worse.

Really, I couldn't care less what goes on in the internet about the game. I do not look for approval of other people if I like a game or not. I do not care whether it's nominated for some award or not.
It fascinates me to no end that people actually gather "evidence" of a game fail, when we STILL don't know how well it sold so far. EA will let us know, or not. But hey, now even I was curious and checked the German game charts. Veilguard is in 6th place, not too shabby I guess.

Remember when there was no internet and all we did was play games for fun and we either liked them or not? Yeah...

So they are just conveniently silent..which is interesting because usually fans of popular games are anything but silent even if their games get some backlash (see The Last of Us 2, Cyberpunk 2077 etc.). But Veilguard fans are somehow not found (apart from a small minority) on any major sites because they are playing the game.

Sounds a bit silly...especially since its been over two weeks. Most hardcore fans would be finished at this point.

You clearly haven't seen the discourse of TLOU 2 and Cyberpunk when It was released. Just say you don't like the game and move on. Or if you really want to talk about Veilguard, go to the skepticism thread and just trash the game there. The people in that thread will welcome you. 

 Even there, there were reports of people being called low IQ for liking Veilguard. 

I think we only learned that Inquisition was the best-selling Bioware game to date and sold 12 million copies only shortly before release of Veilguard and mentioned off-handedly by a dev who's not working there anymore (well, working, but in a consultant role)
