You know modding doesen't probably matter for most gamers? Depends on the game. The modding community in TES, for example, is huge. Same for Fallout. ME3 is as well, mostly by necessity. You want to say mods don't count whatsoever? The remaster is a mod. A texture mod. An official texture mod. For $60. And I don't know about the plans for the XBoxSx...oh that is so awkward to type...but the current rumors for the PS5 that it is just going to be backwards compatable with the PS4 generation only...or skip over the PS3 entirely since the arcitecture on that console was so hinky. So at best, it might address the much smaller userbase ME has on the PS, since ME started as a XBOX360 exclusive, before, finally being available in the MET collection and ME2 was a timed exclusive that came out on PS3 way too late. Basically, only ME3 could have gained any traction for ME, or Andromeda. That's a pretty wonky basis. Personally I have little interest in a remake...unless of course they either go full tilt on it or just remake the endings...but that does not make much sense to me. A remaster though? It depends on exactly when its coming out and on what consoles but I would highly be interested in getting it. There is value getting the game on the PS4 (or even the PS5) again. Sure its only benefit may be just 'its prettier' but it is also more convenient to me to play it on the modern consoles...the prettiness is just a bonus. If you already have it on your account, you already have it. No need to buy it again. PS is going to have backward compatibility with 4k past gen titles. Did 4k games really release for the PS4? I doubt it. It's probably going to include PS3 titles as well. I don't see this remaster being a hit. |

If Dragon Age 4 is like 2-3 years away, I'd rather they not show anything. Probably an unpopular opinion but I only want to get on the hype train when the game is like a year away, and every month or second month there's something the devs want to say about the game or even showcase. Otherwise, keep it, keep it all locked up and be silent until you're ready to go full out with the promo. Though there's always a chance that they can't be silent, especially if EA has nothing noteworthy to showcase, so they might need DA4 teaser to incite at least SOME excitement. How about this: Bioware can release another DA4 teaser trailer for anyone who wants to see it (like I do!), and anyone who doesn't want to see it yet can just hold off on watching it until 6 months before release. Should work for everyone!

Ah, yes... hair. I expect no breakthrough with the CC hair options. The main NPC character will have decent hair but that's about it.

Forget years, yesterday I was waiting for DLC to download on my Switch and I managed to spoil myself with YouTube thumbnail  And while I don't mind spoilers, I don't like long hype build-up, so I'm with you on not showing things too early.

The name changed to be DAI later. In E3 2013 the first trailer was released. Since then, tons of information was released, including interviews and trailers. So the waiting for DAI is no so painful like this.
