Ah, Electrifying. May I suggest Static Cage on top/front of enemies, chain lightning and then fade step with freezing evolution through the enemies. Always mighty effective and fun Put a Fire Mine under the Static Cage and watch enemies get blown up (Fire Mine) and then pulled back (Static Cage). And in case of a bear, who cannot be yanked around, also put up a Firewall to make it stay there.

LukeBarrett ; I have a small question. When do you know what specification of PC people will need to play the game? Is it near the beginning of the process or only at the very end? You see my PC is getting on a bit and I had originally planned on getting a new one once I knew what I would need for the next Dragon Age as I don't want to buy something and then find it isn't good enough. However, I thought we'd have heard by now, so I am in a bit of a quandary, particularly if the game isn't due out for a while yet. So is there any possibility that the system requirements might be revealed a bit sooner than the actual game? As long as you get something either the same as or slightly more powerful than the next gen consoles, you'll probably be fine. That is, considering you want the upgrade to be significant and want your machine to have games soar on it, not just be adequate.

Jos Hendriks @sjosz Me needing to write a description for a thing I'm working on: "Oh cool, I get to do this thing our writers and editors always get to do!" Me needing to write a description for the 50th thing: "Oh, jeez, this is something our writers and editors have to do all the time."
(I already appreciate the wonderful writers and editors I get to work/have worked with, but today that appreciation increased)

The only thing I ever ask is that people articulate concerns if they want something changed I would like to articulate my concerns over ME3 and its ending. I believe it to have been the TLJ moment of the ME franchise, the TLOU that we didn't need. I think it hurt the franchise more than what was originally perceived and, in spite of Andromeda's troubled release state, the inevitable comparisons to the MET would bury the title regardless. I think ME3's endings need to be undone in a meaningful way to the community, before the franchise can really depart from Shepard and co. I don't think any new crew could win that comparison, especially when the community is as divided as it is right now and the market reception of the last couple of titles. I also think that I haven't told you something you don't already know. From what I've heard, I'm not going to like what comes next, for ME. Have I heard correctly? I mean, you can see my profile pic, I am sure you guys will do a fantastic job, just as good as any game in the trilogy or even better, but that's not what I am personally holding out for. I shouldn't be holding my breath, right? I mean, the official stance is that anything Trilogy related is over and done with so you could give me the company line again. Unless there is reason to think it might have changed? In which case a "can neither confirm or deny" would work. And you wouldn't be breaking any NDA if you did. Even saying you're not suited to answer that would work. Well, I guess the silence to this is deafening. You didn't have to even say anything about my concerns, actually you shouldn't. But nothing about the trilogy? Just a "Shepard is done" would have been enough, as one would expect. But not even that. That's ... telling. And, of course, I am not owed an answer, but even if something were to have changed, you'd simply redirect me to Mike or Casey, therefore plausible deniability, you're just not involved in the process. On the other hand, maybe I came off as smug or insulting, which I don't think so, but therefore decided not to answer back. Which is expected. And just to be clear, I wouldn't be asking about a remaster. I am not interested in some upscaled textures and a reshade setting.
Or maybe I shouldn't press the matter. Well, that's that, anyway.

All I can say is that this is a very vocalized opinion and that team is quite aware of these concerns about METs ending. Apologies if I gave the impression that I would respond to all things within a short time window, my statement was intended to be more like a general statement about constructive criticism. I will address what I can when I can but I'm not a community manager in any way so I'm mostly just popping in here when I have time.
And yes, I have very minimal interaction with anything to do with ME.

They are typically revealed sooner than the launch of the game but never sooner than the announcements. I don't really work with hardware and performance much so I can't give a great answer but my best stab is,
Studios always have rough targets but it changes fairly rapidly as the game gets developed. In pre-prod and concepting performance isn't really a top concern - there are still teams focused on it but it's kind of an after-thought for the majority of the work. As things move in to production and closer to launch optimizations and technical audits become aggressive and that helps basically answer the question: "What is the lowest spec a PC needs to be to run this game at 30fps (for most of the time)?".
Best bet is to probably watch trends on other HD PC games and see where they're benchmarking and then assume it'll go up slightly each year from that.

LukeBarrett I was curious: How soon in development of a game is a protagonist determined. My main worry is whether or not the Inquisitor will return as the protagonist (hoping they are returning) so I was curious generally when that kind of information is decided and revealed. Obviously you can’t answer whether they are or not, so it’s more just when that kind of info will be revealed in comparison to other things such as full announcement.

Jesus Christ, is anything ever allowed to end anymore? While we're at it why don't we all badger HBO and Nickelodeon to bring back Game of Thrones and freakin Avatar.
"ME3's ending was the TLJ moment of the franchise". What the fuck does that even mean? A lot of people LIKED TLJ, myself for one, so are you saying that media and stories should be conpletely undone when they are "divisive" or only when YOU PERSONALLY didn't like it?

Best bet is to probably watch trends on other HD PC games and see where they're benchmarking and then assume it'll go up slightly each year from that. Thank you, that answer was helpful. Shrug, I guess I'll just have to nurse this old PC along a bit longer then. I originally bought it a couple of years before the release of DAI and was assured at the time it could cope with any game currently around, which was true, but then it only met the minimum, not the recommended, spec for DAI. It is because I know computers seem to advance so quickly that I didn't want to get a replacement until I knew categorically what the next game will need. I'm not bothered about playing other games in the meantime if it is not good enough for them, just the next Dragon Age.

Just tossing my support behind this question. As Hanako said, know he can't actually tell us what has been decided for the current game. But it'd be nice to know whether the (seemingly logical?) assumption that the protagonist would be nailed down by the time levels are being rendered and quests are being written is *actually* correct or not.

'nothing special on the screen' but some small details of the TDWR teaser trailer background image on the desktop are different 👀 I was like "What's threaddad talking about?" and then I compared it with google images and yeah. That's weird. I see a lense flare/glare on one of the Dread Wolf eyes. The circle around Solas has a gold outline that goes in front of his body. Definitely gives more of a feeling of it being a bubble of energy he's emanating instead of like... a halo effect.
Still doesn't fix the wierd lighting on Solas' head that had a lot of us thinking it was a different elf just wearing a hat at first, but oh well.
Any other differences I missed? I feel like I'm reading a Highlights magazine.

Apologies if I gave the impression that I would respond to all things within a short time window I do not mean to impose on your time. I assumed it would be ... well, erroneously on my part, enough. I will address what I can when I can but I'm not a community manager in any way so I'm mostly just popping in here when I have time. And yes, I have very minimal interaction with anything to do with ME Well, as I said, the company line, so far, is that everything Shepard and co. related is over and done with. And if you could just repeat that for me, if it isn't asking too much, that would be great. Unless you are given reason to believe otherwise? Of course that doesn't include, understandably, the occasional cameos, like Liara's in ME:A or even a potential remaster, though I also heard that one isn't happening. Those would be inescapable. Just fyi, for the future Luke rarely engages. Understandable. I did pile up on him, so I may have been a little too ... aggressive in engaging him.

SirSourpuss, out of curiosity - if the company line has been "we are done with that" why and how is having one more dev say it to you going to make a difference? It does come across as unnecessary badgering. For the record, I've seen similar behaviours with Dragon Age fans, some of whom, even in this the year 2020, are still wondering if BioWare is working on a new Dragon Age game. They have said as much as they can to assure people it is being worked on, but people still keep questioning them about it. (And media keeps reporting it as if it's news. It isn't.)

out of curiosity - if the company line has been "we are done with that" why and how is having one more dev say it to you going to make a difference? It does come across as unnecessary badgering. Just out of curiosity. I wonder if something might have changed. It isn't.) I'm not asking if Bioware is currently working on bringing Shepard and co back, nor am I asking Luke to push for it, that's just absurd. I'm simply asking if, since ME got "thawed out", as the media covering it described, if Bioware had, at least initially, began operating on a new basis, or if the corporate line since ME3 would still be in effect. If Luke is aware and it's not too much trouble, I'd love if he could tell me that nothing has changed. Which is what I've heard, but I'd definitely welcome some input from anyone. And Luke doesn't even have to answer, I'd be perfectly fine with being ignored, at this point. In fact, I'd encourage it . Badgering wasn't my intention. I'd definitely not want to ruin Luke's enjoyment of visiting this place. I won't pester him any further, regardless and I am already very grateful for what time he has dedicated to my concerns.

Hue 😁 Yeah what I noticed was the different eyes on the DW and the bubble ring! curious
