I wish Solas had been bi. As much as I love my Solavellan, I respect her too much to make her the type of character to blindly follow wherever Solas leads her. On the other hand, I have a male Lavellan who'd gladely see the world burn for the sake of elvhen glory. He'd be right there by Solas' side, LI or not. He probably even loves Solas secretly, but It'd just have added such a great dimension if his feelings could be official and not just headcanon.

There some context to that? Does it mean Alix is at Bioware currently? Just knows the VA? Or is there a con I don't know about?

I could swear that I heard her voice in Anthem as well...

People glossing over Weekes outright calling Solas a villain.  I recall people theorizing that he's actually an anti-hero.

They were probably referring to Iron Bull.

Because he didn't. All the time he's talking about the perception of Solas among fans.

Their concerns circle around Solas not being prematurely pegged into one role or trope, instead of maintaining a mantle of a complex, somewhat inscrutable, polarizing character we still have discussions about, 4-5 years after DAI. He is the guy whose emotions about carries us in our waiting for DA4 - and while there's no way of telling how much of the narrative of DA4 he will he be carrying on his back, I think we can assume that it may be a lot. So playing with our perception is even more important than it usually is.

If you read my post again you'll notice i specifically mention that Dragon Age has bi characters who aren't promiscuous and thats why there still better than most. I did not forget josephine, leliana, merril, anders or fenris.

I also mention it didn't bother me that there was a slutty bi after the first two games, this is because there were other bi characters and i think its good to have a variety a different types of rep. It was only after inquisition when it became clear that each game had one promiscuous companion, and that one was always bi/pan (aka when it became a pattern) that i became a little irked. And only when Weekes started talking about avoiding bi stereo types when they'd ignored that one that it became proper annoyance.

As for Solas, i don't really care whether what his sexuality is. If they'd just said he felt straight I'd have thought nothing more on it. Although i do think that there is nothing wrong with having a villian be bi, its only if all your villains are bi that it becomes a bother. Just like there's nothing wrong with a promiscuous bi, it's only when all your promiscuous characters are bi that it becomes a bother.

That's not how I read his statement. 

Why would they be concerned about the "bisexual" trope when it comes far before the "villain" trope is revealed at the very last DLC?

His statement rather implies he's referring to the entire theme of Solas as perceived by the writers from the very beginning and their concern stemmed from users perceiving the trope the same way. 

But he also does say "amoral" so that circles back to the user as I doubt the writers perceive him as amoral.

So I think it's just a poorly conveyed statement and this entire line of discussion has been pointless

Yea, but there was one character people keep comparing Solas to that was bi - Anders. Given that, Bioware may have had factored in that their antagonists/polarizing characters may be viewed as repetitious.
