Game development is a stressful job
Any job where deadlines are an everyday thing is stressful. I work in procurement....if we don't get what we need to build what our customers have ordered, we don't make shipment, which means revenue is pushed out to the next month (or farther). Happens enough times, customers will start to go elsewhere.

It's probably futile to argue which job is more stressful, however game development is pretty well known to be quite high there with months-long crunches prior to game launches and not necessarily certain future (especially with latest waves of layoffs). Potential abuse or negativity on social channels is another thing.

It's probably futile to argue which job is more stressful, however game development is pretty well known to be quite high there with months-long crunches prior to game launches and not necessarily certain future (especially with latest waves of layoffs). True, but trust me, contract manufacturing is not much different. After the market crash of 2008, approx. half our employees were laid off. This year, we've ordered about half a year's worth of material in about a month. Crazy times.

I think so? I thought we found out about the release date of WoT v2 before Inquisition had actually launched, though.
Either way, any news on the upcoming release of WoT v3 would be good news. A girl can dream.
I mean, Vol. 1 gave us the details on every nation and organization of Thedas, and Vol. 2 showed us more about the characters and some new tidbits of lore. Between those two, seems like it's already a full package. Not that I'd complain if we actually got a Vol. 3, but what would it even talk about? Off the top of my head? -Kal Sharok -The voshai -The secret forgotten ones worshipping dalish -Those across the sea -The kossith -Sha brytol/titans expanded details after da4 reveals -evanuris and the Elven empire expanded details after da4 reveals -the land never touched by blight to the west that the warden has gone to investigate |
