We love EA Play Live as it's our way of connecting with our players and sharing what’s new with all of you. However, this year things aren't lining up to show you everything on one date. We have exciting things happening at our world-class studios and this year we’ll reveal much more about these projects when the time is right for each of them. We look forward to spending time with you throughout the year!
Sounds to me like potentially DA4 but definitely more than one other studio project at EA are just not shaping up to have anything big to show off in June.
Fine by me, I can be patient.

I wouldn't even read too much into it I mean I can't imagine what the economics are involved of showing off a big event like that but I imagine it is quite a lot to coordinate multiple studios and multiple things to show them all together. Plus I kind of get the feeling that maybe someone got the bright idea if you shove a bunch of two minute trailers into an hour long event then the other games will drown each other out. But if you just show off a game and leave it to do its own presentation here and there, whatever that is, you can spend longer focusing on that game and it will be just about that game. (Look at the upcoming State of Play, seems to be devoted just to Hogwarts Legacy)

More marketing than hard facts, imo. "..this year things aren't lining up to show you everything.." == translation is: we got nothing major to show.
Anyway, as nothing is happening at EA my attention shifts elsewhere for a more engaging experience. Look at what EA's competion is doing:
-Horizon Forbidden West
-God of War: Ragnarock
-Elden Ring
-Pokemon Legends
-Rainbow Six Extraction
-Dying Light
-Grand Turismo
-ZeldaL Breath of the Wild 2
-Hogwarts Legacy rpg game
Best we can hope for is a DA4 teaser video which will show wonderful things but probably won't exist in DA4. I give you Anthem Hub teaser video vs actual Anthem game as a reminder to curb our enthusiasm.

Fine by me. Don't want to hear shit till we're 6 months out from launch personally.
I suppose being interested in three games this year qualifies as a lot but I can't see any of them beating DA4. Horizon is especially noteworthy since it is essentially a carbon copy of the first from what I've seen with no improvement made in the areas that matter. Sure Alloy is more interesting and photographic but you still have zero control of the character.

I'm fine with waiting until they have something substantial to show. I'd be happy for some snippets of info in tweets if possible, but I'll take what we can get. I just want this game to be an amazing experience once it arrives. And I do hope they don't rush, for the sake of the game and the employees.

They mentioned blog posts and social content coming this year, so I think we will primarily get those things. I just hope the blog posts actually share some interesting information rather than more of the "we are working hard, can't wait to show you" type of deal.
I think for a new trailer, the Game Awards is definitely still possible as it'd be (potentially) less than a year before release, lines up well with DA Day, and they just generally seem to like that event. Plus it would continue every other year pattern with 2018, 2020, and 2022.

while I would certainly expect more I would also limit expectations on too much more until we have a title.

Corinne Busche 🏳️⚧️ @corinnebusche Fun Fact: When I was designing for #TheSims 3: University Life, I reached out to the #DragonAge and #MassEffect teams to collaborate on these in-game crossover phone cases! Much love for Maxis and BioWare ❤️
This was done while DA:I was still in production (at least to my recollection) and I was SO hyped for the game. Did not disappoint 🔥

I don't think the absence of EA Play this year necessarily means we won't get substantial informations/footage of the game this year, but it does make me more cautious on expecting them.
There are ways to market and show substantial aumont of footage, or new trailers, even without a full blown conference like EA Play. Whether it'll happen or not for DA4, it's yet to be seeen.
The game can still appear either as the Summer Games event Keighley does, or at TGA, although the latter would make me feel like the project is even further behind then I thought.
I do understand the concept of showing little and not spoil the game (as an example, Pokèmon Legend Arceus kind of did that), but there's range on this. Although if the release date is going to be in 2024, then it'd be feasible to show little this year.

Out of those the only game I can see scratching the same itch that I hope DA4 scratches is the Harry Potter game. Quite sad really.
