On what platform? Seems like I don't follow the right accounts Sorry. Twitter. Possibly because I’m in Canada - trending topics change based on location. I see Solasmancers remain ever faithful. I remember being really into Andrew Ryan's stuff. Seems like a decade ago.

I see Solasmancers remain ever faithful. I remember being really into Andrew Ryan's stuff. Seems like a decade ago. The fandom continues to grow and cultivate itself. :-) I've just divorced myself from the Dragon Age world to forget that it's been so long since my favorite franchise had a release. I occasionally come back here cause I have no willpower though. Once DA4 is in max-hype mode I'll probably spend a solid couple of weeks just catching up to a tub of icecream. Or two.

alix 💗💜💙 @marleysghostevery now and then dragon age starts trending and I have a moment of panic that there's news Patrick Weekes @patrickweekesI legit started panic-searching. "Did we leak something? Did >I< leak something? I have been so careful about not mentioning the unicorns!" oh no Bree (half of @kitrocha) @mostlybreeme 5 minutes ago WHY IS DRAGON AGE TRENDING and it's apparently trending because people were trying to figure out why it was trending 20 hours ago??? Patrick explain yourself immediately and give me a unicorn Patrick Weekes @patrickweekesMe to the Dragon Age social media managers: I swear, it wasn't me, it was like this when I got here! David Gaider @davidgaiderThis brings back a lot of memories. Bree (half of @kitrocha) @mostlybreeok but can we get dragon unicorn quest trending? Patrick Weekes @patrickweekesIf we can't, it won't be for lack of trying. #dragonunicornquest

If anyone was wondering what they were meaning by would be seeing more Dragon Age this year, I think we now have an answer on what they were planning to do.

Meaning just random Bull shitting on Twitter? Yep. I think this could fall under the 'social interactions' so yes that part was likely exactly what they mean. But they mentioned blogs and stuff so I think we could see concept art, more blogs giving us vague info on how things are going, maybe announcing another departure And then we could get a trailer towards the end of the year but I wouldn't bet money on it.

I’d say it’s definitely best to not expect much or anything, but I don’t think they really meant Twitter teases as part of what we (should?) get this year. As colfoley said, they mentioned blogs. I do think that if they won’t show any trailer this year, that the project is even far behind then I though. While it’s technically possible that they could show a trailer to finally ‘reveal’ the game with a title and release info for 2023, it’s not their modus operandi. I wouldn’t certainly not expect a 2023 release if they won’t show anything substantial this year. I also wouldn’t have expected, in any case, substantial infos or videos before the summer, the fact that EA Play was canceled doesn’t change that. Let’s see what happens, but again, with low expectations.

Let’s see what happens, but again, with low expectations. I will say curiously enough...well I have talked about potential hopes and expectations for marketing for yeaars at this point. But as it just so happened Jawkdaw did a interesting video on this very subject and it did provide a new niggle to this whole conversation. Basically, as he pointed out, the first trailer dropped for Inquisition about a year and a half before it actually came out. In it included the title drop, and release window for the project which ended up being more or less right. So while I wouldn't be overly pessimistic about us not getting a trailer this year means the game is even farther out then the current theories hold I wouldn't also discount the possibility. And if the current leaker is right about the expected release date then the earliest we should expect a similar actual trailer with this level of information would be this June/ July. Afterall we are talking windows here. I mean what maybe October if it were 2024? (disgusted noise ). At the latest we should resonably expect one would then be next June or July. So it could happen. Will it? I would be mildly surprised, but a welcome one.

My opinion they got burned on Inquisition because content changed and the easiest way to prevent that is not to talk about the game until content is finalized for what was cut from Inquisition was to be there at the time it was shown. Followed by articles like "What Dragon Age: Inquisition could have been" from places like Polygon.

I agree.
No expectations for 2022. Marketing starts in 2023 and the game (with UE5 game engine... cross my fingers) arrives in 2024. If I'm wrong, and the game arrives earlier... all the better.

I think people also need to consider the shit BioWare put themselves in with the initial 2017 Anthem trailer, along with the 2018 E3 trailer they put out as well. People were very upset with how misleading and non-representative of the final game that was launched.
That's likely going to play a part in how they decide to release gameplay footage for DA4.

Forgive me if anyone already posted this elsewhere but I just discovered it on You Tube. This is how it is described underneath the video: This video features Dragon Age characters in REAL LIFE using AI Technology @ Art Breeder. All images are created in Art Breeder by merging screenshots of the characters from the game + pictures of real life people. There's also some Photoshop editing involved. They have taken the principle characters from all three games, including associated DLC and DAA.

(with UE5 game engine... cross my fingers Not happening. This was tweeted out September of last year who broke the news that ME5 will be using unreal: JeffGrubb @jeffgrubb Linked in the story, Dragon Age 4 (still a Frostbite game) is expected in 2023. The story mentioned was about BioWare potentially using Unreal instead of Frostbite for ME5, so I would assume that he would break the same news if Dragon Age 4 switched engines as well. I think people also need to consider the shit BioWare put themselves in with the initial 2017 Anthem trailer, along with the 2018 E3 trailer they put out as well. All the trailers I saw for Anthem were pretty much exactly the same for the game. Was it that different for consoles? Edit: Going back I can see differences with the 2017 one, but its nothing like what happened with Inquisition. Most of what I see is a camera angle change and how the central hub for the world was represented with what seems to be less detailed foliage. The 2018 EA demo from what I can recall seems to be a pretty accurate representation of the final product.

The 2018 EA demo from what I can recall seems to be a pretty accurate representation of the final product. Things shown in the 2017 trailer that weren't in the final game: - The degree to which Bastion was populated. That Praxley character not even showing up in-game was also a thing. - The "Ally of the Week" feature that was showcased, but never made it into the game. - The "Longfall Ruins" that was showcased was not in the game. - You couldn't pick up loot on the go AND equip it. You had to wait until the activity finished. Also, the gun that dropped (Jarra's Wrath) when the Freelancer killed the Scars leader wasn't even in vanilla launch. - Teammates couldn't be called in to join you in-session. - Obviously, the graphics were nowhere near that good. - There were no random "Shaper Storm" events in the overworld, let alone them affecting the climate in the local region. - The size of the map and where activities could occur was highly exaggerated (such as the Anvil-shaped valley ridge containing a stronghold). E3 2018 Full Gameplay Demo: - That entire narrative sequence inside of the land-tank never happened. - There was no entire base inside of a Strider, nor did missions truly have you deploying from said Strider. - That entire tower fight area, during what is now known as the Tyrant Mine, never happened. Nor was launching the mission directly from the Strider. There also weren't any destructible homes and bases to destroy during the beginning either. - World Events, as well as the Giant Titan, weren't in the game. - There was no "discovering" strongholds. They became mandatory story missions. - There were no dangerous enemies that only appeared at night, as the narrator described. - There was no throwing flares to illuminate the darkness.

Speaking of marketing I don't know if anyone is following (or if anyone official will even see this *prays*) but the character trailers for Strange New Worlds which has dropped over the last couple of days are really well done and something I would love to see for the marketing for 4.

That was really cool, you could tell a few of the real world people. But for the most part it was well done and the real life images were really good imo. Thanks for linking this.
